After several fires in my neighborhood were caused by aging circuit breaker boxes, I decided to…read morehave mine inspected for possible replacement. After a disappointing first quote experience with another electrical service, I asked around about who I could trust. Sarah & Family was recommended to me and I set up an appointment for them to come take a look at my box. From the start Sarah and Ryan were friendly, professional, and explained everything about the condition of my box. It turned out that at some point water had caused rust inside the electrical panel and had rusted out a lot of the inner components. It was clear that a replacement was needed (and add to it that the box was 40 years old!) After Sarah provided a quote that was thousands of dollars cheaper than my first quote, I booked them to replace my box. Ryan and his young apprentice arrived on time and prepared to get the work done quickly (which was welcomed since I wouldn't have power all day and it was 100° outside). They did an excellent job of installation and I was very pleased with the look of the new box and how they cleaned up my basement area so quickly at the end. I highly recommend Sarah & Family and have told my neighbors and HOA president that anyone in need of a similar service should give them a call. This is an easy 5/5 stars!

Since we were unsure who to hire, we chose Sarah Family Electrical Company based on a recommendation--and we are so glad we did. From the start, their professionalism stood out. They arrived in identifying uniforms, which immediately gave us a sense of security. They came fully prepared and began with a walkthrough, carefully identifying all the areas listed in the proposal. Ryan patiently answered all of our questions--even though we asked quite a few--without ever making us feel rushed, annoyed, or like an inconvenience. He and his apprentice worked throughout our home with precision and communicated using walkie-talkies instead of shouting from room to room, which we truly appreciated. They clearly understood the assignment and executed it flawlessly. We are extremely grateful and happy with the results. Not only did they complete everything listed in the inspection report, but they also offered thoughtful recommendations that made perfect sense. If we hadn't just purchased our new home, we would have taken Ryan's advice immediately. We will absolutely be calling him again for any future electrical needs. If you are looking for a qualified electrician with experience and professionalism to match, give Sarah Family Electrical Company a call--you won't be disappointed. Thank you for helping make our home safe for years to come. We would also like to recognize Ryan's apprentice who worked with him today. She was amazing--polite, skilled, and impressive. Yes, I said SHE! You made us proud. Keep up the great work--you rock! Thank You both again. Daniel and Sharon Ricketts

The problem was never fixed and I had to hire another company to fix it (which two people did in two hours). The problem with my deck lights were that half of them were dim and half were bright. He couldn't seem to figure out what was causing the problem but the company I hired after him knew right away. Chris from Bane Electric came highly recommended by our realtor. At first we were worried that he wouldn't travel from Ashburn to Arlington but he traveled during off peak times to us without charging extra. We had extensive electrical work done in our house (and not the fun kind either). He was sensitive about the price points and recommended what we could easily do ourselves. We had a list of items that needed to be fixed as noted by the home inspection report, and he did a superb job. Immediately he put us to ease and we felt comfortable leaving him in our home alone on the first day. His work was competitively priced. We were so happy that first day, that we immediately hired him again to put up recessed lights in our living room and a ceiling fan in our bedroom for the following week. We are absolutely stunned by the recessed lighting! By all means, get the upgraded recessed lighting! It is incredible and made our modest living room look like a show-home living room. Pros: -He offered us bundle pricing which meant we didn't have to pay by the hour -He works all over the DC metro area -He was reliable (always prompt when returning calls, showing up, or sending quotes) -Very professional and trustworthy -We felt good about supporting a small business owner -He does drywall patching for a nominal fee (I was informed by another contractor that most electricians don't do this!) Cons: -(only minor) but he is cash/check only -After seeing what he could do, we now want more work than we can afford
