Certified Indoor Air - In Cameron Village

Certified Indoor Air

Over the past year I have used Certified Indoor Air on multiple occasions to inspect for mold and…read morepull general air samples at facility where I work. After the sample results came back Bill Dolch did an good job of explaining how to read and interpret the chart data and graphs. In the areas where actions needed to be taken, he was able suggest some companies that may be help with resolving any issue. David and Bill were both professional in conducting business and quick to response our needs. Excellent value for the cost. Mike W.

STAY AWAY!!!!! I do…read morenot know how Mr. Dolch started out in business as I saw a lot of decent reviews but let me say it has QUICKLY deteriorated. I called Mr. Dolch requesting third party testing. We discussed one price over the phone and when it was all done it was a different price. He came and did an "okay" inspection. I would not say that it was as good as others described and maybe it was due to him knowing when he got started that I was not trying to spend more than we had originally discussed. When he found this out he just kind of hurried along with everything so to speak and was not as "detail" oriented. He completely by passed all of the rest of the rooms without even looking at them, even though he was supposed to be "inspecting" my whole house. He gave me all of this big talk about how his tests come out of Florida which is one of the biggest in the air quality testing industry. When I got back my report it said TEXAS not FLORIDA. When I called to ask about how long it would take after the initial turn around had passed he informed me that he thought he gave me the tests results days prior to and explained them which he didn't. So the tests had been with him and he forgot that he didn't even give me notice, contact me or anything after that they arrived. The tests were taken on Thursday, they came back Friday and I didn't get them until after I emailed him on Tuesday in regards to the testing. He promised to advocate for me stating I paid him and he was here to tell whoever needed to know the conditions and what was going on which was a lie. He told me one thing and told them another. When I called him again for additional test results he went on about needing to do more invasive testing and that he would need to pull that floor, do more testing, probably remediate it as he has a mold remediation business as well. He asked how many test did I need for this round beginning to ramble off numbers and I told him "two". He then went on to say that his trip charge would go from $20 to $99 for the second visit which made absolutely no sense to me and was ridiculous. To sum him up, Mr. Dolch is a scam, a con, he will try and get you to pay more for things YOU DO NOT NEED, when he saw he couldn't angle me that way, his attitude quickly shifted. Let me say that I felt the need to watch them the whole time as I had a feeling they would not have done what they did do if I wasn't present and would have tried to come up with an even larger bill. Mr. Dolch is FAR from the best in the industry. When I hire people I expect honesty, integrity and people to be a person of their word and Mr. Dolch presented nor stood beside any of these characteristics. Telling me oh I didn't talk about the more invasive work from the beginning because you said you were on a budget??? An honest inspector will tell you their findings regardless of whether you can afford it or not, even if that means finding someone else to do the job etc. His interest ONLY PEAKED when I began to talk about paying him MORE money. Choose him at your own risk! UPDATE: Sir, you are a flat out liar. You told me that you would only know if the floor was damaged (which it was) if you pulled it. You said that you would need to pull it and do "more invasive" testing. Only when I didn't hire you to do it and decided to do it myself to save money you backed out of what you originally said as there wasn't any money in it for you. The only reason why the tests the second time around "were cheaper" was because I wasn't getting all of the same tests. Your trip charge went from $20 to $99 in a few days. At this time gas was barely over a dollar and you weren't all that far from me. I had just paid you almost $500. You were just being GREEDY! I hope you stop scamming and lying to people. That you do not allow "the business" to further turn you into a rip off and a person who can not be trusted in the industry with a bad name. Furthermore, my experience is similar to some of your other reviewers so I know everyone isn't lying. You can keep responding and I will keep telling those who read reviews how much of a scam you are. Word of mouth and reviews hit businesses hard and a lot of businesses know that. Just by looking at a review many will choose to do business elsewhere are people are TIRED of being RIPPED OFF as I was in this situation. ALSO, IF YOU LOOK AT THE REVIEWS THAT ARE "NOT RECOMMENDED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE, YOU CAN SEE WHERE HE REVIEWED HIS OWN BUSINESS, POSING AS A CUSTOMER AND SUPPOSEDLY RECEIVED SERVICES... HOW SKETCHY IS THAT... IF YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE SERVICE THAT IS BASED ON QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION YOU DON'T NEED TO GET INTO THESE FORMS OF TACTICS WHICH ARE SIMPLY DISHONEST!!! THERE IS NOTHING HONEST ABOUT YOU.. GIVING PEOPLE DIFFERENT NAMES TO CALL YOU SO THAT WHEN THEY WRITE A REVIEW IT WIULD MAKE IT SEEM THAT YOUR COMPANY IS BIGGER THAN WHAT IT IS.. YOU ARE WILLIAM AND BILL AND THE OTHER GUY IS YOUR SON.

Fantastic company. They did an incredible job in our huge crawl space!!!! They didn't stop working…read moreuntil they finished the entire job. Non-stop for a total of 5 days . They also did our attic - we had squirrels that had been residing in our attic- they had made many little homes in the pink insulation - looked like they had been having a huge party up there with their babies . All insulation had to be removed and replaced. Incredible job .My husband and myself are physically feeling much better since all the mold and other " animal debri, etc" was cleaned, scrubbed , was removed. Would not use anyone else!!! We are now sleeping well and are confident that we are not breathing in mold from humidity crawl space issues nor animal excrement. This is the way to go!!!!

This company is anything but reputable, honest, or willing to stand by their reputation. After…read moreresearching and contacting multiple companies I hired Atlantic Corp in Fuquay because the sold me on their long-standing reputation in the community, all their certifications, high quality of work, and frankly telling me how much better they were than any other company doing this work. I hired them in October of 2024, and paid almost $1,100. For the work, which was reasonable based on other estimates and the work was done on time as scheduled with no obvious issues at the time. Due to ambient temperatures mid-October my heat and AC weren't really running and my bills were less than $30. In November my heating bill went to $220 (significantly higher than last year) and in December it jumped to $340 and my home was not maintaining heat. Ridiculously high bill for a cold home. I first contacted an HVAC company who determined that my system only 2 years old was working perfectly. They diagnosed that I likely had a problem in my duct work which could have been torn and or disconnected during the October cleaning and that was why my house was pumping heat but staying cold. I had to call this company dozens of times before anyone answered the phone or returned my call. I left several messages which were never returned. I even informed them that I had to hire someone to investigate the duct work so I could have adequate heat, but wanted to give them a chance to make it right before I did that. Minimal effort was made on the part of the company to communicate with me, much less help address the issue - this was mid January with sub freezing temperatures. I contacted a second company who was able to find the damage in the duct work and repair it. I asked Atlantic Corp to pay the $409 for the repairs it cost me. I didn't ask for anything for the increased bills I had paid, a refund for the cleaning itself, or the three days I had to take off work to address this. This seems very reasonable considering two professionals put on their invoice that this was due to damage during the cleaning. They deny that they did this damage or had anything to do with it. They offered me a $100 refund with a denial. If you are looking to use a company who stands by their reputation, I do not recommend.

Be careful dealing with Triangle Reconstruction. Rob, the owner comes off as humble, honest and…read moresincere, but if something goes wrong watch out ! I hired Triangle Reconstruction back in the winter to repair the foundation at my house. This was a very large project of which I had paid him about a third. On January 11 they caused a fire at my house burning down my kitchen. Rob was very apologetic at first, but when I told him I wanted another company to finish the project he said I owed him a lot of money for the work they did and he claimed that they had completed %80 of the job. Fortunately, I had a reputable structural engineer come out to inspect my foundation before they started working on my house and then I had him come back after the fire. The engineer stated only 1/3 of the work had been completed - if that much ! Rob also threatened to file a stop work order if I did not let him bring 'his engineer' out to look at it. I understand accidents happen and against the advice of many people I was actually willing to give him the opportunity to finish the job and try to help rectify the situation. However Rob's estimate to finish was nowhere close to being equitable and provided no consideration for the hardship he has caused in my life. His estimate even included money owed for work they did in the kitchen which was burnt in the fire that they caused ! He clearly doesn't understand the gravity of this and what my family and I have gone through and what we're still going through. We have been out of our house for almost 5 months now and probably won't be able to move back in for another month or two. My family has suffered tremendously due to this company's negligence.

They vacuumed, cleaned and disinfected both areas, lay a vapor barrier in our crawlspace, and also replaced some old insulation. Both areas look amazing! All the debris from mice and other small rodents is gone and the air is clean! They will also come back if any new activity occurs, to make changes where needed. Excellent job! Highly recommend them! I contacted Miramold because I'd been dealing with some scary health issues since moving into a new…read morehouse and had become concerned that there may be a mold issue behind them. I spoke with the owner of Miramold prior to scheduling and she was made aware of my concerns. The inspector came to my home, looked around briefly, identified one source of mold, and insisted on performing air testing in a few rooms. It was my understanding that air testing is essentially useless with ERMI being the gold standard and infinitely more accurate. When I asked about ERMI testing the inspector looked at me like I was insane and insisted that air testing was what everyone did. For some reason I allowed him to continue. I received my results a few days later, letting me know that my home was pristine, free of mold. Nothing to worry about! I suspected that my Miramold inspection was inaccurate, at best, so I hired another company to come out and inspect my home. I ordered and performed my own ERMI test in the mean time. Within minutes of the other inspector's arrival, he located several other visible sources of mold, a couple of which were in obvious locations. He spent many hours looking over every inch of my home, inside and out. He took wall cavity air and surface samples in suspicious areas. He identified structural issues that were causing water infiltration. He discussed with me why air sampling should never be done in place of ERMI. My results showed huge amounts of toxic mold. The ERMI test confirmed this. This inspector also provided me with a thorough report with remediation protocols, none of which were offered from Miramold. I should also mention that this 2nd, far superior inspection, was the same price as Miramold's... I won't go into details about my healing journey, but had I trusted Miramold, I would never have sought the help I needed and my health would have continued to decline. I would not have pursued safer housing. Who knows what could have happened. I do not understand how this company is still operating or why they have positive reviews, but if you have mold related health concerns, this is not who you should be trusting.

A very thorough investigation was done - from areas in the attic where the ventilation fan was showing water damage and subsequent mold and mildew growth to the far reaches of my crawlspace where mold and fungal growth with standing water damage was evident. Every room was thoroughly tested, MANY samples and photos taken for analysis. I'd like to also note that I followed the inspector (Ms.Courtney Belohlavek) around and learned so much about mold and remediation...she took her time yet was efficient and thorough, never hesitating to answer my questions. I learned quite a great deal from her (more than I was expecting, VERY smart inspector with a great penchant for education), and would NOT hesitate to recommend her and Ms. Durak's services for anyone!
