Making sushi rolls
Kimiya R.

What a fabulous evening with Robin for her sushi making class! We signed up as a fun activity for my husband's birthday - and we had a blast! Robin is so welcoming and funny (and she has a dynamite sangria waiting for you when you arrive!) she has everything prepped so you can just enjoy the fun part - the cooking and eating!! She and her husband make sure everyone is involved and has everything they need - and it's also a BYOB so you can have some drinks while cooking and eating! There were about 13 of us total in the class and everyone was so friendly and it was just a lovely evening. If you are looking for a fun evening (with super tasty food!) I highly recommend checking it out!

A++. We had so much fun in the class with three great soup recipes. My sister and I took the class 'Soups for the Soul!" And we had fun learning littlle tidbits like l how to buy or ripen avacados or which oils are better to cook with, and why we remove the bay leaf. Also received tips for which gadgets to use best for chopping fresh herbs!! The folks attending the class were fun and engaging. Robin and Joe are really nice and it made it fun like cooking & hanging with your friends. We all participated by chopping, seasoning, stirring, and smelling the wonderful aromas as the cooking progressed. The soups we made are -chicken avacado, spicy onion and roasted red pepper. I don't know which one I liked best. All are full of great flavor & fresh ingredients. It was fun and can't wait to go again!!! Thanks!!!

We had the best engagement party here! The food was amazing and Mexican themed. The whole atmosphere was radiating good energy and the happiest vibes all around. Karaoke was too much fun, even the fiancé was feeling it and serenaded me ! The photo booth in the back was a hit, especially for our friends and family with kids. But let's be honest, the real event was the food... filet with shrimp ceviche and the best homemade guacamole I've ever tasted- you're seriously missing out if you don't take advantage of the classes robin and joe offer. Everyone had a blast and I can't wait to book our next event!

Super cute kitchen area, lots of space, but also designed to feel like we are hanging out at their home.

However, the class was unorganized. Despite arriving on time, the class had already started. People were tasked with items to start on and no one greeted us or told us where we could help. It made the beginning of the class feel weird and made us feel not welcomed. The pasta was delicious and the overall value was great! Arrive extra early or have the potential to walk in confused!

Shortly thereafter, my wife and I signed up for the Fundamentals cooking course at The Farm Cooking School - a six class series covering everything from knife skills to roasting, poaching and braising. What we experienced was far better than we expected. These are hands on classes, where we learned about the ingredients, how to utilize them and why they worked in each dish we prepared. At the end of each class, we all sit down and enjoy a delicious meal that by itself would likely cost as much as the class if we bought it at a local restaurant. What a bargain! Since that first series, I've taken over 30 other classes, and continue to take classes every week. I've made French sauces, Mexican moles, Italian pastas, Indian curries, pies, breads, and just about everything else you've seen on a plate. The variety and quality of classes and the food we've eaten has been amazing. Through these classes and the down-to-earth teaching styles of Ian and Shelley, I've learned that it's possible for amateurs like me to prepare meals that taste as good or better than those I get in restaurants. I walk away from classes thinking "Wow, that was so delicious. I can't wait to try this at home!"

The croissants were a crowd pleaser, the Caesar salad crisp & tasty, the fruit was so fresh, but the blueberry lemon almond cookies stole the show! My experience is only with catered lunch in a corporate setting, and it is always hands down the best lunch I've ever had, every. single. time!!!!! How does she find fresh veggies year-round!? Incredible! There is so much care and thought put into this food. They must be very particular about their food suppliers. Any fresh ingredient is always perfectly fresh/ripe. The cherry tomatoes and really any veggies are always delicious, bursting with flavor (maybe they use organic which tends to have more flavor?). The salad dressings are all incredible. Apple Cider Vin, Citrus Vin.....o.m.g! The Power Up Salad will make you want to eat salads for every meal - seriously. Also, I was never a fan of pasta salads until I started being adventurous and trying the pasta salads from here. The Bruschetta Pasta Salad - OMG. Also, recently had the Bacon Parmesan Ranch Rigatoni salad.....wowza. Cupcakes, cookies, or other small desserts from here are to die for. I've used a lot of cliche "review" terms here.....trust me, they don't even begin to describe it!!! :)

For $125/person, I had expected better tasting food though. The small appetizers (spinach salad, prosciutto, Parmesan, olives) may have been put together from a grocery store. For the pasta that we rolled out, the staff only added a plain tomato sauce. The side of vegetables was overcooked and mushy. Tiramisu was all right. We can blame the taste and texture of the pasta on ourselves, because we made it, but I had expected the rest of the food prepared by professionals to be better. No drinks were included -- Healthy Italia is BYOB. There was a nice intro video from the owner telling us about her history and philosophy. She said that she doesn't measure ingredients, and only mixes by feel. How does one teach a cooking class like this? If someone is taking a cooking class, they are less experienced and need precise measurements and instructions. Our flour and water were measured for us, so I guess they do measure something. We were never told the measurements, so didn't have any recipe or any specific learnings to take home. I enjoyed the social time with my group, and especially the long table set out for our group in true Italian fashion. It made us feel like a big cohesive family. However, for $125/person, I felt like we could have had a true learning experience elsewhere or had a much better Italian dinner at a restaurant with drinks. In fact, on the subsequent evening, a few individuals from our group went to a restaurant and ordered similar items served at this cooking class, and the food was remarkably better. And yes, it was less than $125/person with drinks.

The space is adorable, unique and the party package is very reasonable paired with some of the best tasting baked goods around. A business can really be defined by how they handle bad news, and she was so understanding and scrambled to make sure I'd still have all the desserts we planned together at the new event. Decor was easy as I'm a natural crafter and ideas were immediately running in my head. Now how do I find a venue during a pandemic? As most I started with google, reached out to a few places and hoped for the best. Lucky cupcake was the first to get back to me and were so easy to communicate with. Now considering they're 50 mins from me I still was skeptical and wanted to be sure it wasn't a burden for our party guests. I'm so happy I got over that because this venue was PERFECT and I can't wait to plan my next party. Lyndsey was amazing and so were the other girls and our expectations were beyond met. I provided all the decor and they allowed me to come in a little early to set up and even helped me. Not to mention but they recommended a great pizza spot. Pizza Village tomato pie delivered my order with no hassle. I was also to bring some other food and beverages for guests to snack on while kids were decorating. One mom even took some ME time and browsed Peddlers Village. The venue is so spacious and allowed for a great socially distanced party. All the kids had a blast and the birthday girls dreams came true, and to me that's 5 stars itself. Thank you again sweet occasions and lucky cupcake and all the staff! I wish I could give 10 stars you guys are the SWEETEST. I hope Sophia takes this experience and followers her future baking dreams.
