The fries and side of cheese were fresh and hot when delivered. They were cooked just right- crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They didn't have any seasoning on them but with a little added salt and pepper they were great. The buffalo chicken cheesesteak was a hit. I got it without blue cheese ( American instead) and as someone who usually skips blue cheese, I was thrilled with how flavorful this sandwich was without it. The chicken was well-seasoned with just the right amount of buffalo sauce. The sauce had a nice kick, providing that classic buffalo heat, but it wasn't overpowering. I don't understand how some people have the nerve to give this place a one star review. A one star review is typically reserved for those places that cheat you out of money or you ate there and you got sick afterwards. After seeing all of the very polarized reviews on Yelp, I decided to trust a good friend I know from the area. She said this was her "go to" place for pizza. I trust her because she grew up in this town. I decided to try Real Pizza without judgement. What I discovered was for the low, low price of $8.50, you can order a cheesesteak with fried onions that rivals many great cheesesteaks I've eaten in the city. I'm from the city (lived in Philly Center City for more than 31 years) and I've eaten my fair share of cheesesteaks. I know my comfort food and I know my high-end food (I dined at Vetri Cucina for my birthday ten days ago). Here's what I know: This is a really good cheesesteak with nicely prepared, super-tender beef that's low on gristle, full of flavor, a nice amount of cheese (I'm a provolone fan), and sandwiched between a fresh, pillowy soft, chewy roll. It's as good as you can get, my people! It did not burn the Styrofoam container it came in like someone else said. In fact, I would trust most food places that spent the extra money to give you a Styrofoam container rather than roll it up in wax/foil paper. That just means this place gives a damn about its food. Who wants a soggy cheesesteak that'll get stuck on wax/foil paper? I will say that they're a little heavy handed with the condiments, but, aside from that, this is a cheesesteak I wouldn't mind eating again and again. What a great place! Visiting daughter, went here to get take out pizza. Love local in town spots. Also got wings and something called Greek style fries-with feta and a sauce made with yogurt. The owners were so friendly & nice. Ordered, walked around town for 15 minutes and returned for food. Everything was great. I will be back. Concerning negative posts for changing prices-EVERYPLACE food & retail has to do this since COVID and monster inflation. I went there on Sunday to grab a slice of pizza. They don't allow you in the restaurant due to Covid, so you have to place your orders at the side window. Upon walking to the window, I noticed three ppl working and all of their masks were either off or pulled down. Mind you, they are speaking over uncovered pizzas that are sold for slices. Against my better judgment, I still proceeded to place my order. A woman pullled her mask up and walked up to the window to take my order. She gives the order to a younger boy/man who grabs a slice (ungloved) from one of the pizzas that were sitting out for slices and placed it into the oven. I asked if he could put on gloves and grab another slice. He told a gentleman who was out of my sight what I requested and I overheard him telling him, "no we don't do that." So, I just cancelled my slice and left. Even if Covid didn't exist, food handlers are supposed to wear gloves. Especially if you are touching non-food items, which he was. I know they have excellent cheesesteaks, so today I got a 10-inch pizza to bring home for lunch in Ardmore. The short story is that the pizza was gone by the time I made it the 2.5 miles. I guess I'm a pig, but I had intended to eat one slice and then I couldn't stop. Not sure if everyone will prefer this style of pizza, but for me it is incredible. You have to be OK with some grease. To me, grease helps give pizza a lot of flavor. Who wants a dry pizza? But here's the kicker: the crust is perfectly crisped and it hold together well. Maybe they crisp it with butter, I don't know but the combo of the thin, crispy crust and the slightly greasy cheese on the pizza is, man oh man, very damn good. Finally, shout to my man Nikolay behind the counter. We were friendly when I worked in the neighborhood 15-18 years ago, and while I don't see him much these days, I can tell you that this is the kind of family that you want to spend money with. I'VE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS with my best friend and my family! Absolutely incredible food that brings us so much joy! Casual dining environment and definitely comfort food. Especially growing up, we got dinner and then went to the movies across the street! A very fun time and convenient location! You can also walk to ice cream afterwards a minute away! Not just that, but you get the Real Pizza craving and then great service, with usually a 10, 15 minute wait time for pickup! (More common to pickup I think since not a ton of seating, but I have enjoyed eating inside or outside). Some of our favorites are the plain pizza (my friend is very selective with food and she always loves the chicken tenders and fries too), and my personal favorite is their egg salad sandwich on a Kaiser roll with pickles. Not sure if this is popular but it's a MUST TRY! Best egg salad on the mainline in my opinion (and I'm Jewish and know a great egg salad)! This is my very favorite pizza EVER. The sauce, crust, cheese, toppings- all amazing. The crust is thin and crispy but doesn't fall apart and is still nice and chewy. The sauce is perfectly sweet. I've found that asking for "light cheese" makes for the perfect pizza. The toppings are very high quality and they really load them on. Pepperoni and black olive are my go-to's and both amazing. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Their salads and hoagies are both huge and great value. Delivery usually takes 30-45 minutes around the Narberth area and they have a pick up window which is super convenient. Everyone who works here is always super friendly! Walked out without placing an order. Granted it was a busy Saturday on a 76ers playoff game, but after waiting 10 minutes in line the guy taking orders turned into a delivery driver. The owner (I'm presuming) proceeded to grill the patrons as to who is waiting on 2 pieces of cheese pizza. One young teen ordered a pepperoni and and plain, and was told these 2 pieces of cheese could not belong to him. You could tell he was embarrassed for speaking up. This persists for another minute or two so I left the line. I've never seen an owner reprimand and belittle his employees as much as I've witnessed on the handful of times I've come here regarding the estimated time for pickup orders when someone calls, all while doing this in front of all the patrons as it's a small shop. I used to really like this place. The pizza was nice and saucy, with a sweeter sauce so it was unique and delicious. But the last time I went here the pizza slices that I got were undercooked and the owner smoked right outside the place and proceeded to litter by throwing his cigarette on the ground. First off, my hoagie wasn't wrapped up in paper ljke they usually are everywhere in earth, it was in a to go box, brilliant! Hey, just thought I'd add that one of the reps from Real Pizza took the time to write me a really professional note taking some offensive that I'd wrote that their pizza is frozen. It was something like do I think the dough mixing machine is just art decor. Funny. Those guys are funny. Well, actually, my assumption that the dough or pizza crust is frozen actually comes from the taste based on my own opinion and those of my neighbors. It is a common comment among the neighbors that the dough tastes as if it was frozen. Of course, if we are wrong, then I guess it's an honest mistake but it doesnt change the fact that the dough tastes like it was frozen and the pizza is just kind of okay. Which is a shame. Because it's called Real PIZZA. So the PIZZA should be really good. Not just okay. Well, the salads are really good. The sandwiches are really good. Oh, and the delivery driver is really nice. This pizza was absolutely delicious. Ordered on a Friday afternoon and was delivered within 30 minutes. Opened up the boxes to two of the best looking (and tasting) pizzas I've ever had. And I made pizza for a number of years and I tell you this was 10/10. The crust is thin but stable, no holes. Filling but not doughy. They seem to get a lot of foot traffic being right in the heart of downtown Narberth. Their Baklava is indeed good. Their cheese steak is ok, and their pizza is ok too, but overpriced. $17 for a 16" pizza with just one topping (chicken) and $20 for a 16" Greek pizza. Other pizza shops have Greek pizzas that size for less than $16 (like Tony Roni's Pompeo). Maybe Real Pizza of Narberth makes a more authentic Greek pizza, but I just didn't think it was worth the price. I also find it a bit annoying that most of the pizzas on their menu are single-topping pizzas. Why not just list the toppings under different price categories (so you can make your own pizza), and then have a separate smaller section on the menu for special pizzas like the Greek, Hawaiian, and Vegetarian? I do think Real Pizza of Narberth is a good place to grab a $3 slice if you're in the neighborhood and craving pizza. read more

Pizza joint near the movie theatre. There is nothing special about this place, it's your typical "mom and pop" pizza place. First of all, you have to be familiar with Narberth to even know where this place is. It's down the street from the movie theatre which makes it convenient for a quick slice or something, if you don't want to pay for the pricey shit in the theatre. There's nothing to say about inside. There are counter spaces with a few stools near the window, but there is hardly anyone there eating most times. This place is just mainly take out from my stand point. Even waiting for your food is a bit awkward, since it's literally a box inside. But there is a tv! Anyway, as stated the food is okay. No gourmet nada here. The pizza is good enough for kids, although I shouldn't say that since some kids have better palates than myself. But it's decent and worth it for a quick something. The cheese steaks are rather good. There are a variety to choose from, and they are most popular here. Oh yeah don't go by the menu thats on the board. I was here once and asked for a corned beef sandwich and the owner told me they didn't have corned beef, even though I was deliberately staring at the board above her and thinking .."oh really?" I grew up going to Real Pizza and when I moved back to the area I was happy to find that the same family still owned the place and it hadn't changed. They have a bigger menu than most pizza places do these days. The pizza is greek style which personally isn't my preference however their greek pizza is outstanding. One drawback is that they don't take credit cards for payment which seems crazy to me in 2012 but that's OK. The food is always fresh, they're efficient and nice people. We just moved to the area and we're looking for a pizza place. This won't be it. We are extremely disappointed with the service and attitude of the person taking orders. We have a person with celiacs disease the family. Prior to ordering we called to ask if there were gluten free options. We were told yes, and that gluten free comes in different sizes (seemingly confirming that they did in-fact have it). It was around 8:30pm when we called (they close at 9) and the man taking our order was rude, seemed annoyed and rushed us to order. We called back a minute later and placed an order, confirming the gluten free personal pizza. 20 minutes later, we go to pick it up and were then told that they did NOT have gluten free pizza and "didn't remember" taking the order for gluten free. Instead they offered a personal cheese pizza, stating that we "did not need to purchase it". Terrible service. Bad attitude. Either they lied to get the sale, or didn't feel like making it. I worked here for 5 years while attending high school and college - here is the dirt: 1) yes the dough is frozen. it is made on mondays (the slow day). 2) the fries are made in large batches then reheated or (yikes!) refried when they get old. 3) the pizza is oily - you need to mop it w napkin first. 4) the owner is abusive to women - i witnessed him throw an incorrectly made sandwich at his wife when she turned his back on his verbal abuse. 5) the toilet was frequently clogged - staff would have to urinate out back or into a portion of broken floor in the basement - of course there is no sink out back or in the basement... read more

The staff leaves a lot to be desired, they seem bored. The woman with short black hair is always nice, though.
