This is a cash only spot .. irritated I had to go up two stores just to used the atm. They have signs hanging up they are now on doordash . So I've had the other Leandro's in the Frankford section. That one was ok this one had a better taste. Always loved the sauce that's on these pies as well as the cheeses combination they place. Service is fast, it is CASH only so be aware of that and there is only street/meter parking in Upper Darby. It's very close to 69th Street terminal so it's busy as fu##. That's true the only two reasons it won't get a 5, cash only and location. Ambiance was typical pizza shop vibes, but again if those two things could miraculously change I would get my pizza from here more often and I love a good slice too so that makes it disappointing that and it's 15 minutes away lol read more

This pizza is some of the best I've had! We came for lunch. The line was out the door but it moved fast. Its a thin crust pizza place and they have great topping choices like beef pepperoni, broccoli, sausage and much more. The prices are cheap and the slices are large. I've been eating here since I was a little girl! This place is a staple in the community for pizza. I feel like there's crack in here because no matter how far I go from home, this is still the BEST PIZZA I've had. Always fresh and well prepared. The whole pies are HUGE. You can have leftovers for a few days and the slices reheat so well in the oven. I'm all about supporting local business if it's good and this is indeed that! Ordered 3 pies for Christmas Eve birthday party. One pie slice can be cut in half. They are huge and worth the price. Very classic and unique which makes the taste unforgettable. My choices were one cheese, one beef pepperoni and one veggie. All of them were a hit! Seasoned well, cheesy and the sauce didn't give me any heartburn . I will definitely come back and for whole pies only. The line for slices were long so I knew if made the right decision. Grew up near 69th st., there are a lot of great pizza by the slice places in Delco but none better than Leandros. Also, you can take it home and it still tastes fantastic after it's been in the box. That is often the "kiss of death" for a lot of regular pizzas but not theirs. read more

Let me start off by saying this. Ive worked in a deli before so a lot of my friends are Italians, so I had home made Italian pizza before, and some of my family live in Brooklyn, New York. With those two things being said, I can honestly say I know a good slice of pizza and Leandro's, without a doubt has some of the best pizza in the city of Philly, and I still live in philly so I know the city. Now everything ain't always good and dandy in the world. Everything has flaws. However, unlike my other reviews I've done. There's only one thing here that bothered me, and that was the entrance. When you first walk in it's a straight one way, so that means that the entrance is the line. Like I said this just bothered me, cause I like space. But, if you from out of the city and looking for a good slice of pizza definitely consider Leandro's it might be out of the way, but it's worth it. read more

And at that moment you know that certain type of pencil is special? Well that's how I feel about Leandro's. I used to live within blocks of the place so had it many times and never became bored of it. It will forever be my favorite pizza however the pizza is special regardless of it being a favorite childhood comfort food. I'm pretty sure anyone who's had the pizza, as a child or as an adult, will get a certain twinkle in their eyes. It's just that good and the service is great. I will definitely be going back. Leandro's has always been a cornerstone of my youth! Growing up in Upper Darby, I used to walk to Leandro's regularly with my sisters. It was always our favorite, as were the owners. Every time I am in the Philadelphia area, I go out of my way to go get a slice of pizza. This time, I was able to bring my 7-year old and Leandro's didn't disappoint! We had a slice of classic cheese, sausage, pepperoni and white pizza with spinach. All were equally delicious. Truly awesome! read more

My mom used to bring me here when I was just a little kid and when 69th street was in its heyday. Back in those days, Sears was up the hill, as was a huge supermarket and a Woolworths, along with dozens of mom & pop stores. Whatever we came to 69th st. to shop for, we had to grab a hot slice of pizza from Leandros. I remember that after eating a slice or two of pepperoni or sausage or plain pizza, my mom would make me go to the bathroom and wash my face and hands. I remember looking into the mirror and seeing pizza sauce clinging to my chubby cheeks. Nowadays, my mouth is big enough to keep all of the delicious ingredients in there. The pizza hasn't changed one bit and is as great as ever. The dough is perfect, crisp and chewy with quality cheese and sauce. Another 5 star for leandro's! It's easily the best in philadelphia, and the most like a new york slice. The crust is always crispy, the sauce isn't too sweet, and the cheese is high quality. I recommend the sausage, it's full of fennel and applied with precision, you get sausage and cheese in every bite. My husband usually stops to pick up a pie to bring home on Friday nights (it's his night to make dinner, so pizza!) and calls ahead for a full pie. He never has to wait very long. read more

This place has easily the best traditional New York style pizza you can find in Upper Darby. The ample mozzarella, the sauce balanced perfectly between tart and sweet and thin, lightly charred crust all commingle perfectly. Whether you grab a slice while heading to the 69th Street Terminal or Tower Theater or get a whole pizza, you're in for a consistently solid experience. The folks who run the place are really nice to the wife and I when we come by. They have a deal with a free 2-liter bottle of Coke on a weekday (can't remember which one, I'm afraid) but since we drink diet sodas they will give us two 20-ounce Diet Cokes instead. I am a native New Yorker who is not only snobby about my pizza, but I also don't vary much from the classic slice: I only get cheese slices for the most part, though on occasion I will get sausage and their sausage topping is excellent, not links or rabbit turds, but yummy crumbles rich in fennel seed flavor. They have ample seating if you eat in or you can take it out. If you are just walking by, it's almost mandatory to grab a slice as you move along if you know what's good for you. I don't eat here as often as I would for four reasons: 1) They seem to be open at unusual hours and they're not open on Sundays at all which has thwarted grabbing a pizza to eat while watching football on several occasions. 2) They do not deliver. This inconvenience is exacerbated by the fact that,,, 3) Parking sucks. On 69th Street it's hard to find a meter and it's a longer walk from the closest side streets (which often have cars parked there anyway) or the parking garage behind the closed movie theater (which is dark and decrepit and might be scary to some people) which makes you angry that the simple act of picking up a pizza you already phoned ahead for is so difficult. But the biggest thing for me is: 4) They do not accept credit cards. I don't carry cash and I wind up eating a fee hitting the ATM whenever I hit Leandro's. If management rectified all of these three things (#3 would be tough, but the other three could be managed) I would never eat anywhere else in Upper Darby when I wanted pizza. As it is, it's still great pizza, You just have to work a little to enjoy it (unless you're just walking through the area - I suggest anyone killing some time before seeing a show at the Tower Theater go there. You'll be hooked.) read more

The crust is nice & crispy on the outside,soft on the inside. the sauce has a great flavor & the cheese is good. my favorite pizza here would have to be either the peperoni or the spinach. the pizzas are huge! much bigger than most larges in the area. My family loves it! my only knock on the place is Location! It is a staple on 69th Street, back in the day, you could usually get a parking spot out front or close to it. Nowadays it's so crazy & hectic on 69th st. if you are going to get whole pie for take-out take out , if possible, i would recommend bringing a friend to run in & P/u pizza while u double park or go around the block. don't forget, CASH ONLY, there is a mac machine outside, if need. hopefully this review was helpful. read more
