I'd like to thank James Hammond for bailing us out on a beautiful Sunday.
We were expecting another company, which we've used before, between 12-1pm on Saturday 4/8 that never showed or ever called me until I called them. I called at 2pm asking where they were, answering service called back said "they had an emergency" and I said, "Ok, are they still coming out" and was told yes. About 3pm I got a call saying "I've still got 2 stops in front of you in Cordova and Dewitt", no apology given just a long pause like I'm supposed to say "ok, do you want me to reschedule?", I asked so "when do you stop working" and was told "we'll go all night". Meanwhile we had moved out all the tables, lamps, chairs from 3 rooms and the basement and its 3pm and we've not only wasted a day but still had no carpet cleaned and stuff everywhere. I told them to call me when they were near the 2nd stop.
I immediately started looking for another cleaner on the chance I might find a miracle. Well I did when I came across http://RealMenCarpetCleaning.com, both the name and logo caught my eye then I hit their website. I started reading James' web page about how traditional steam cleaning is bad and how it basically creates mud that continues to rise up. This caught my eye and I then notice his hours showed until 9pm so I gave him a call. I wasn't expecting anyone but James answered immediately and I told him my story and he said he had 3 other people called with the same issue. I asked when could you come out and he is so in demand he is scheduling for May currently. He could tell the disappointment and said, "Hang on", 30 secs later he asked what was I doing on Sunday and I said, "Really, you could come out on Sunday?" James said he'd be there at 10am and was right on time. The other company called at 4:30 and said "we're on our way", I told them "never mind, I have someone to take care of it'.
Once James arrived I showed him all the rooms and he proceeded to explain to me his whole process. It sounded intriguing and went along with the material on his website. When James finished I was truly amazed. The carpet is already dry, it really is just barely damp once he finishes the room and within 30 mins totally dry. It looks better than I recall with traditional steam cleaning. And, James said I can call him anytime we get a stain and he'd walk me thru how to clean it with 6 household items none of which are commercial chemical stuff that burns the carpet fibers.
Thanks for coming to the rescue James and working on your day off. We truly appreciate it. read more
