We went in,…read moreconsulted with Michelle and picked out some drapes with sheer curtains that we were happy with, regardless of the price. She then scheduled us an appointment the very next day for more accurate measurements and possibly installation at our request. Wednesday-March 3, 2021.. I took the day off from work to be home for when their service guy stops by for our 12:30pm appointment. Well, at 12:45pm I get a text message from my wife who was at work saying.. the service guy, by the name 'EFIAFI FEKITOA called her and left a voicemail. He kept saying repeatedly, "If he really needed to come over to the house" and that he insisted that he'll just email us with a quote. My wife was busy so she just sent him a quick text saying, "Yes, my husband is at home expecting you." He then replied to her text by insisting that he'll just send an email with everything on there and that really didn't need to stop by. It is now 1:30pm and still a "No-Show" from this Tongan. So I call their place and Michelle answered, I briefly explained what happened and she transfers me directly to his number. He answers and I asked him what happened to our appointment. He then went on about some BS about why he felt it wasn't necessary to come by. Our conversation started to get heated at this point and he could feel my frustration. Then it hit me... the way he was talking to me the whole time, he looked down at us. It was so obvious! He's Polynesian, Tongan to be exact and so are we. "He knew we were Tongan when he seen our names and automatically, he thought it was a waste of time because we can't afford it." It hit me when his voice raised over the phone and said, "It's $2,000" and that's with out installation! So I asked him.. "So is that why you didn't want to come over to the house!?!" I lost a day of work to wait for you and you call/text my wife (who was at work) insisting that you really didn't need to come over to the house... "Why?!?" We wanted those drapes, we wanted it done, installation and all, plus I wanted an estimate on new horizontal blinds for our sliding door to the back porch. Smh.. (As if he were paying for it) My wife and I had a budget of $5,000. As long as it was under that amount, we were excited to get it done.. Her, more so than me. Well, though there are many other places to shop drapes/curtains from.. Budget Blinds in Bountiful lost my business, all in thanks to an unappreciative and exclusively judgemental and very unprofessional and horrible, I mean.. VERY HORRIBLE and rude employee!! He needs to be fired!! HE'S CLEARLY NO GOOD FOR THEIR BUSINESS!!!

I just ran over there to grab some trimmer string, for three spools it was $28 bucks and change I thought, well that must be what it's going for so I grabbed it and then I saw the mower drive wheels I needed so I grabbed those which were $28 each! I was in a hurry and paid and got to my appointment, then I thought, man, those prices seem expensive let's checkout Amazon and see what they want for those products? Instead of the trimmer line being $10 bucks each, they were $1.50 each, the drive wheels for my mower were $28 bucks for two wheels instead of $28 bucks each I grabbed my receipt and back to Lowe's I went and returned them! The checkout girl said well we have price matching. I told her if Lowe's can't give me an honest price the first time I don't want them. I've been burned too many times by these big heartless corporations that steal money from working people to make some billionaires richer! I walked in after seeing the sale sign outside, that drew me in and I had asked if they sold flowers. The guy asked if I meant real, live flowers, to which I said yes those kind. The man told me no but recommended me to a flower shop not far in Sugarhouse. I thanked him and continued to look around. This shop had a ton of really cute home decor items, as well as cookbooks, cute gift items, discounted items, cute candles by the brand Rewind, which uses Wine bottles to repurpose them and turn them into candles, such a cool concept. They had a number of super cute items for the home, I was so impressed. There were cookbooks here I hadn't even seen or read and I am pretty much always on the up and up about cookbooks and most books in general so that was definitely inquisitive to me. This place is a hidden gem, period. If more people knew what this store was, and what it offered, they would be swamped.
