After being enrolled in Oxford Prep and subsequently being accepted into Oxford Academy, I came back to Pace a few times in high school for help in various subjects such as calculus and English. My math teachers did not simply assist me with my homework but guided me in learning chapters ahead. This helped me to be prepared in advance for quizzes and tests and develop study habits. Whenever I wrote an essay for English class, Tim was always willing to look over multiple drafts of it to see where I could improve it. He also made sure I understood the books I was reading on a deeper level by helping me analyze the literary texts to see the overarching themes. One thing that stands out to me about Pace in comparison to other afterschools/tutoring centers is its atmosphere. I got to know most of the teachers on a name-by-name basis for they all are very friendly. The principal is not only very nice but also very professional and experienced as she has led the academy for over 15 years. Also, because many students at Pace see its benefits and so attend for multiple years, you see many familiar faces, overall adding to the homely vibe.
