My son attended Quest Academy for private high school math tutoring for the last school year and it truly benefited it. The one and one teaching improved his grade and he truly appreciated the thorough explanation by his teacher. Summer program feedback: I took my 6 year old here for full day summer camp and their fees are extremely high to begin with. then they added material fees, field trip fees as a surprise. When I told that we dont want to opt in field trip , they asked me pick up my son at 1pm! Inspite of me paying full day fees. It was hard on me as I am full time working. their study period is 9-12 and after that my son had CPR class at age of 6! I averaged about $400 per week including material (which they made me pay full even for 3 weeks) and he didnt even have much to do for all day. Extremely unhappy 1 star is for the studies. read more

I took my daughter here originally for an art class years ago. I really believe it helped her gain confidence in her ability to paint & draw. We also took a crash course for Whitney prep a year ago. The essay writing portion was helpful during winter break. She still struggles a bit with math but I'm glad they have tutoring available for her. It's a bit pricey for me but I'm hoping the tutoring will help my daughter catch up a bit. The nice thing about Quest is that they have several electives that kids can choose from. read more

I had signed up for tutoring earlier this year for last minute studying for the AP Psychology exam and it was very helpful. My tutor was Mr. Mike and he was very thorough with how he taught and made sure you understood the concept by asking you to explain in your own words what he had previously went over. This learning center offers many academic and extracurricular classes for all ages. The parking lot seems a bit small, but we've never had a problem with parking, even during the big parties. There is also parking on the street if the lot ever happens to be full. The learning center is really easy to find. My mom goes here for karaoke classes on Wednesdays and occasionally she goes for the line dancing class. She's been coming here for at least two years now and has been much happier since because shes made many new friends and they often go out to eat after class. For the karaoke classes she goes to, it is mostly elderly Chinese ladies who sing both Chinese and English songs. I have accompanied her on several occasions and I can see that some ladies have definitely improved. The instructor is a kindly man with a lot of patience and really good advice. They sometimes have holiday parties and my mom has seen the Quest Crew perform before. I've also accompanied my mom to some of her line dancing classes. For $5/person it's a pretty good deal for some exercise for my mom who rarely gets out of the house. The instructor teaches at a good pace and makes sure people can catch up. There are other ladies from her advanced classes on each corner of the dance floor so that you can follow their lead when you turn in a different direction to dance. read more

Do not take your child here if you are not 100 % Asian. My daughter who is half Asian was treated badly by the other children that were full Asian and the teachers either didn't notice ( I don't see how they didn't) or acted like they didn't notice. )It is really sad how there's racism in every race. The Asian kids here are racist and were making non Asians , even half Asians feel they weren't good enough. So ironic when they were ALL there for the same reasons! read more

I'm so surprised there aren't more reviews on this place! I went to zumba here with my friend and her mom last week. The class was filled to the brim with filipino moms but whatever. The instructor felt like she wasn't exactly a "professional" but she put great routines together and I liked her taste in music. The class was $5 so it was pretty cheap. The actual center has tons of other classes which I have yet to take. I'm sad I didn't see anyone from Quest crew! Maybe next time! read more

Waited at least five minutes for someone to help me in hopes that the young lady who was wrestling with some computers would help me or the older lady who was arguing with a staff member to come to my aid. Psst, this is where Quest Crew practices. You heard me, as in America's Best Dance Crew's Season 3 Champs. Yeah, those dudes. Well, Mr. J and I decided to take some ballroom dancing lessons after being spanked by our elder Filipino folks at a formal shindig. We couldn't even get to the dancefloor they were so good. We were relegated to the carpet to try our mediocre ballroom dancing skills. Hip hop/pop I'm okay. House music, J's just a phenom. Ballroom? Eh... Quest offers salsa and bachata lessons here with Mr. Arden E. At $10 a class (or $70 for an 8-wk series), it's a bargain. The classes are about 75 minutes long and small enough that you can get some one-on-one instructions if you need it. No need to have a partner, the girls rotate and Arden always seems to find male volunteers to partner up. Salsa's great but bachata's my favorite. J and I always have fun when we come to class and we practice when we can. A great couples activity to do or if you want to brush up and add a dance to your repartoire. I've been taking my son for guitar lessons here. It is a little pricey compared to other places I have found, but the location is convenient, so it works. The instructor is informative and communicates when there is a change in schedule. So far so good. read more

This review is for the learning center upstairs! I send my 10 year old here for homework, private tutoring, and piano lessons. This place is really "all-in-one" which is really convenient for working parents. They offer a pick up service from my child's school and feed them snacks once they arrive at Quest. I have piece of mind knowing that my son is well taken care of from the moment they are picked up. As for their homework help class, I double check my son's homework each night to make sure it's complete, and I have no problems with the quality. I was a little concerned about the shift to common core at my son's school, but the teachers at Quest know how to explain common core methods very well. My son also has private tutoring for reading since he was a little behind. His tutor is great and I've seen so much improvement in his reading fluency and comprehension. He's much more confident in this subject now! The staff there are very courteous and more than willing to work with you to resolve any concerns and issues. I have seen many after schools but this is one of the good learning centers that I seen so far. Friendly staff and disciplines kids very well. Help kids very thoroughly and tries to communicate to parents and kids well. Recommend this place for kids who need some extra help with their school work. read more

All I can say is "Wow!" My child has been going to Quest Academy for several years and they have been great. The program is tops! i went to this academy as a child from elementary school to the middle school. when i first started here ms yuan ran the place. she has since retired, leaving the place to be run by her family. at the time most of the staff had little to no formal education related to child development or education. i have vivid memories of jerry berated me in front of all my peers while I sat quiet and embarrassed because i was having difficulties in math. it has taken me a long time to make peace with my experience here. i hope things have changed, but if not I hope parents look into the qualifications of the staff before they send there children here. read more

I first heard about Quest from my friend and although It was far from my house, I decided to give it a try. I sent my daughter here during summer break. In the morning they would teach classes and in the afternoon they had many extracurricular activities which my daughter enjoyed. The teachers were all extremely kind and they were not college students like other academies use, but professional teachers. My daughter tells me that what she learned over the summer at Quest is still helpful and classes at her school feel like a review for her. My daughter really had a great time in the summer and even though she can't attend during school time, I am planning on sending her again next summer at least! read more

I do not usually leave any review on anything either good or bad but this time I decided to use my time and effort to leave a review. Because I think they deserve this. My daughter took a SAT test last year and this year after she took last year SAT summer boot camp. She scored close to perfect score and she is satisfied with the result. I am not writing this review because of my daughter's high score on SAT test. I am writing this because Quest staff and teacher's good service even after all the course was done. My daughter needed help right before her test this year and requested help to Quest. Their response was very prompt and helpful. One of the staff and teacher was staying even after their business hour to help my daughter who needs help in a last minute. My daughter and I appreciate their great service.
