(Also, they won't accept returns for wrong size; only for damage.) So I needed this dress to fit, and it was small. My boobs were nearly falling out, too tight and too low. In just one fitting where he pinned the hem and the shoulders up, he had enough to do a major overhaul and resizing! He added green lace to give space on the sides, took out the pads for the boobs, added corset boning to give structure, and pulled the shoulders up a bit! Check out the before an after photos. She refused to help or give me my money back- now here is why I am really leaving this review- she grabbed my receipt out of my hand and started ripping it up. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing, fully aware that time would be limited, but I was still welcomed warmly and treated with respect from the moment I walked in. I was especially impressed by their selection of plus-size formal gowns--it's not always easy to find such a variety, and I truly felt excited and confident browsing. With the help of a great consultant, I was able to find the perfect dress quickly and was out the door with just minutes to spare. The efficiency and kindness I experienced really stood out. The only downside for me was the tipping prompt at checkout. While I absolutely appreciate good service, I found the suggested tip percentages a bit excessive--especially considering the already significant cost of a formal gown. Tipping in a retail setting like this feels out of place, and I think a more modest or optional approach would better match the experience. That said, my overall experience was very positive, and I would absolutely recommend Sophia's to anyone looking for formalwear--especially if you're looking for inclusive sizing and attentive service.

Since then we have had continual good service from the other stores with prompt phone calls every time one of my groomsmen inputs measurements. We even got our wedding invites free of charge (a service they offer if you rent wedding tux) which saved us a HUGE amount of money Only downside is the shorted us on envelops but this was an easy fix and they provided us with them within a few days.
