They were ok at first then tried to do the bait and switch on the battery I wanted to buy.....when I noticed this they told me they could get the one originally offered by the next day. Turned out 'by next day' they meant 6pm. Nothing earlier. They told me otherwise when I said ok the night prior.... They called earlier than my 6pm appointment and when I said my appointment was for 6 pm and I can get home by 6pm ....15 minutes for me to get there... they said they couldnt wait and would re-put me in the queue. They "couldnt wait" to get there at the time THEY scheduled. I was bounced around by numerous service people calling me saying they were enroute.. had to call 3 times to the main line at one point they did not pick up my call......I said if they couldnt get here by 930 pm......that's 3 and a half hours after the scheduled time....don't come. I didn't drive for about a month, causing my battery to die. I contacted Progressive and they sent Ready 2 Roll for a jumpstart. When the guy arrived, he tried to jump start it and told me the battery was at like 8% and couldn't be jump started, and it needed to be replaced. He went on to tell me he had some high quality batteries in his vehicle and offered to install one for a discounted price of around $200. I told him I was going to pass because I'm selling the car soon, at which point he asked how much I want for it because his company also buys cars. I basically told him maybe I'll call you and he left. The next day, I got Progressive to send me a different company and this one jump started it no problem, no mention of it needing a new battery. read more

Called AAA for a battery replacement and they sent out these criminals. They installed a 4 year old battery which damaged my alternator, which needed to be replaced along with another battery. The bogus battery had a date of April 2018 on it. They accused me of putting the sticker on their battery. Wow. $1000 later I have a new battery and alternator. The worse possible customer service. Their "technical" changed my battery and left me with the battery light still on. When I asked him about it he said "just drive around and it will go away". We were very pleased with these guys! Friendly, fast, efficient, reasonable. AAA sent them to jump our car - we knew the battery had lived past its longevity and we were on borrowed spark . They gave us numerous options on how to get the battery changed - with only one option including them - so they were very fair indeed! We called them later and the next morning they brought our new battery, installed it, all in about 15 mins - including AAA paperwork ( which isn't much ). You guys have Happy Customers here! I would give this company a ZERO stars! Ready to Roll Roadside Asst. is contracted by AAA to service the area. They came out to jump my battery on a Friday around 4 pm. The technician jumped the car, said the positive terminal needed replacing. He called his manager Ted to see if someone would be able to return the following day for an appointment to fix the battery terminal. The phone was on speaker, and I heard the person on the other end say absolutely. The technician asked when I wanted someone to come out the next day, being Saturday. I said earlier the better. The man on the other line, Ted, said he would have a person come out between 7-8 AM. I heard the conversation because the phone was on speaker. The technician left. The following day- Saturday I was up at 6:55 am and was waiting for the mechanic to come by to fix the battery terminal. At 7:30 am, I went outside to wait in the garage. At 8:37 am, I called 847-429-8300. I spoke with Ted who identified himself as the manager and dispatcher. I asked about when a service person would be coming out, and he assured me someone would be coming. Due to the time and when my appointment was scheduled, I asked to have communication with updates. Ted told me he would keep me updated by calling me every 30 minutes, which he DID NOT. I called again just after nine, again Ted assured me they were on their way. I called at 11:31 am, and again Ted could not give me a time. I called once again at 12:29 pm. At this point, I was angry and told him not to bother that I was going to write a review online. He told me to wait a minute that he was doing me the favor and replacing the terminals for free. I proceeded to say, "I did not know you were going to do the job for free, it would have been nice to know that, so I would understand that you would get to me when you could. He then said his guys were in Lake Zurich, IL, and would be coming to me next. Thinking back to this conversation, I would have approached it differently. I am too trusting! At 1:25 pm I called Ted back, he did not pick up the call, so I left a message for him to NOT come by that too much time had passed; I could not continue to wait. I had a total of 8 calls into Ready to Roll Roadside Assistance, and not once did they call me to give me updates as promised. I would NOT recommend this company to ANYONE!!!!!!!! Ready 2 Roll deserves ZERO rating, and it's manager Ted deserves triple ZERO rating. My negative experience started with my car battery being replaced which was probably unnecessary (according to them it couldn't be jump started, but when my dealership technician wanted the battery, Ted couldn't produce it). Was charged $240.00 for the battery this company put in my car. The same day I had my car inspected at the dealership and according to them, the battery did not fit properly in its compartment, Had the battery replaced again, this time using the dealer's own brand. Ted's battery was returned to him, and the issue of the $240.00 refund started. For two straight weeks, Ted claimed the check was in the mail. Then offered to hand deliver the check that was supposedly in the mail. When I requested he drops off the $240.00 refund in the form of cash at my dealership at Woodfield, his story changed to not doing anything wrong and went back to the check being in the mail again. So much confusion coming from this man. Reading the other negative reviews, there seems to be a theme: substandard business practices. read more

Roadside assistance dispatched them to help with A flat tire. I was stranded on a shoulder of a busy highway, and waited for 4 hours! Called them several times, every time they told me someone was 20 min away. Then they claimed they showed up and didn't see me - while I was there, and the state trooper stopped by to help! I guess they don't really care about bad reviews, since they work with road assistance services and insurance companies, and don't need to look for customers. Minus all the stars. Was dispatched these clowns by my insurer to change a simple flat at 3:15pm, eta of 4:25. When I called at almost 5, I was told "he's a few minutes away." 20 minutes later? No guy -- and now my calls go to voicemail. Called my insurer, who tells me "Ready 2 Roll" in fact never rolled, or let my insurer know they weren't taking the call. By now it's 3 hours later, dark, and rush hour, but at least the next company actually does their JOB. Oh man, called AAA to get a tire fixed with 2 young kids in the car with my wife. They sent this"company" and ready 2 roll called, all happy saying 40min. Cool, I was thrilled .......until they never showed up!!!! Never. Hungry, tired kids stranded and nothing. But then AAA says this "company" fixed the flat and got paid. No no no no no! I asked everyone why I would be fighting still to get this fixed if it were fixed in the first place!??? You wouldn't hear from me if you did the job yet they got paid for nothing. Chris came to jump my car and was so kind and knowledgeable and efficient. Unfortunately my car battery died again so I called Ready 2 Roll again and within 45 minutes they had Nick out to replace my battery. Again, so kind and knowledgeable and efficient. Needed a battery jump. My road side assistance service quoted me 80 minute wait due to extreme cold. The owner of company arrived within 15 minutes instead. He was professional & prompt. I was going to replace battery anyway and opted to use this company for sake of convenience bc they made house calls. It was worth it. Got roadside assistance through progressive auto insurance from this company and was told they would be at my car in 2hrs 30 min. Time goes by and nobody has arrived. I call the owner of the company who said he had rejected the job from progressive because it was out of his territory. I asked why he did not inform me about this so I could find someone else to come help and he just replied with "well I could come out but I'd have to charge you extra." This is a reliable and honest company. From taking phone calls very late into the evening to setting up help, jump starts, battery exchanges, and tire inflations, Ready 2 Roll can always be trust and relied upon. I called Chris yesterday evening. He was able to calm me down during a very stressful situation involving my car battery dying. By first thing the next morning Chris had sent Christian to my condo. Not only did Christian replace the battery at a very affordable price, he also reset all of my automatic windows. He further inflated numerous flat tires on my second vehicle and removed a terribly corroded battery and broken battery terminal. All done as well for a very reasonable price. I am currently "work from home" status due to Covid-19. While these guys worked and repaired both of my vehicles outside in the cold, I was able to work my job to its fullest upstairs in my condo. All their work was done perfectly. Convenient payment options were brought right to my front door. And lastly, Ted, the owner of this establishment came to my condo later on to make sure all the work was done correctly and that I was happy. That really meant a lot because I am sure Ted is a busy individual. I would highly recommend this company for any car servicing needs. BEWARE!! Used my geico roadside assistance today and these were the guys they unfortunately dispatched for me. Most horrific experience I've ever had. They texted me saying they would be out to fix my flat in 90 minutes (around 10:35 am). They called me at 10:50 to let me know it would be another hour. At this point I was obviously very frustrated as I had been waiting for 15 min longer than told already. Then at 12 I called and asked how much longer. The man I spoke to was named Ted and he told me the driver would call me in 10-15 minutes. I never received a call and at this point I was very very upset. Thirty minutes after that I decided to call and Ted answered again. I told him very assertively that I wanted to know a proper time because he kept brushing me off with false information. Ted then hung up on me, he apparently isn't used to speaking to assertive women. I called again, honestly I had no choice bc I needed my spare put on for me, and Ted continued being irrational and emotional telling me he was going to cancel my service, how am I from Chicago and I don't understand the weather, he is a Good Samaritan for helping (mind you, he gets paid for this), and then rattled off information about his income. No one in a high stress situation like being stranded with a broken car should have to deal with this. When I spoke to my Geico rep she was horrified and immediately got me a new dispatcher. I can see from the other reviews this is a business trend of not properly scheduling as well as being rude to customers when you misquoted a time. Calling these guys for a lock out. They said they'd be 40 mins. When the app alerted me that they were there, i went outside and no one. I called and they said "i told you 40 min".. well the app says different. I called AAA and they said that's false response time then. Meaning fraud. After the guy finally gets there, he tries for almost 40 MINUTES to get into my car. All the while scratching the mighty f#@$ out of my interior to my sweet Acura. And while in the process, bent my door frame because he had the "bladder" blown up to much and for way too long. After saying "I've been doing this for 4 years" he says. I told him to take all his stuff and grfo of here. I called AAA back and they sent a guy who fished my keys out in less than 5 minutes. I wouldn't trust these guys to break into my convertible with the top down. Never ever again. AAA customer service rejected their call and didn't pay them. I guess this company must have enough business that they don't have to be polite or helpful. Needed a flat tire changed and my roadside assistance chose this company. After leaving instructions and a phone number where they could reach me I went inside my place of employment to stay warm and wait the estimated 1hr 15min it would take them to arrive. I went back to my car 15 minutes before their estimated ETA. After waiting, I called my roadside service provider only to find out that this towing company says their driver called me and left a voicemail. I have no missed calls or voicemails and the company made no effort to contact my roadside service provider to confirm they had the phone number correct. I contacted the towing company directly and the person who answered was immediately defensive and rude. He started by telling me that "we have the phone records to prove it". In the future maybe start with "we're sorry"? I would never choose this company and if your roadside service provider chooses them for you don't expect much. read more

I had called AAA and the dispatcher told me 45 minutes and Ready 2 Roll was there in 30 minutes. I needed a Jump Start and they tested my battery, in the freezing cold weather. The dispatcher from Ready 2 Roll called me ten minutes prior to them coming and explained to me that they are coming and not to worry. They told me that someone would be here in 45 minutes to help me. At that exact time, a very nice man pulled up to help me. He said that it is probably the battery but that he would check it for me. He said it checked out good and then he got me going with a jump start. He told me that it should charge up as I drive which it did. If there could be negative stars I would've rated them negative 1 star. The most insensitive, untimely and unprofessional service you can get, or no service at all. Dispatch was out at 8:06pm. First ETA was 9:39. No one showed up. I called and they told me they'd arrive in 20min. No one showed up after another 30min. I called again and the new ETA still said 20min. At this point I requested to talk to the service provider directly and asked when I can expect service because I've being waiting for two hours already. Provider said 10min and I said okay, just make sure you are really here in 10 instead of having a smoking gun again. He said he was canceling the trip because he did not have to deal with this attitude. This service provider does not give you status update or call you to tell you they are running late. At this hour when it's 15 degrees outside there was no apology for delayed service that left the customer stranded in a random parking lot for hours and then ended up canceling the service.
