This Pharmacist, that I truly trusted for nearly two years with my mental health and other medications cost me nearly $500.00 by refusing to resubmit two overides that my Health Insurance Company and my Physician had already approved a week earlier (I was going to visit friends in another state, after not being able to leave my house for a year due to my disability) I am on a fixed income and this Pharmacist refused to resubmit my over rides. I basically visited my friends without the $500 that I saved for months for this trip. I am submitting the claims as per my insurance company and will eventually be reimbursed but the damage is done. The rudest people I have ever spoken to. I called to ask how I can transfer my medication over from a previous pharmacy, and the person on the phone would not even let me finish my questions. After one minute on the phone, they said they had to go help someone else who was there in person and hung up on me. Absolutely do not recommend; they clearly don't care about any of their customers. read more

Extremely rude and uncooperative pharmacist. I had a prescription filled here, it took a week to have it filled, she wouldn't accept insurance. So I'm trying to get reimbursed from my insurance company. When I went back for a different receipt than the little one she provided, she refused. She doesn't get involved. Dirty pharmacy also. Pharmacies like this are why people go to CVS and Walgreens. The pharmacist, Mina unfortunately is also the owner. There is no one to hold her accountable to her rude, obnoxious and unprofessional behavior. She prepared a compound for my son months ago. My insurance will cover the cost, but needs the pharmacist to fill out a short form (5 lines) and sign it, indicating which ingredients were used. I'd be submitting the claim, not her. She flat out refused to do anything to help, claiming she doesn't "deal with insurance". She gave my son a hard time a few weeks ago, so I figured I'd try to reason with her. Well, there is no reasoning with her and I'm amazed she stays in business. I'd never recommend using this pharmacy unless you enjoy being treated like dirt. read more

Amina has been nothing short of a life saver for our family over the last 24 years here in New Jersey. Our son, now 24 has autism and epilepsy and our daughter 22 has a condition that required her to have Lipton every 28 days no matter what since she was 6 months old. Amina and her staff have been the actual life line at times from having essential medication to going to the ER. Our daughter no longer needs her medication but knows Amina saved her life more than once. Even tonite, Amina has once again saved our son Bobby. I have to disagree with the negative post on here! I moved away from the immediate area and still drive into Flemington to get my scripts here. Mena the pharmacist is always so clear and helpful. She knew who I was after one visit. She always gives detailed advice on how to take the meds. Even told me stuff the dr failed to once. Yes the store is small and cluttered and I was surprised the first time I came in but it doesn't bother me at all except for my son wanting every little trinket we see in there (I try to leave him home when I go!) I don't expect a script in 30 mins. I've never experienced that from a pharmacy anyway. So? Anyway I'll continue to take the drive knowing I have a good pharmacist. read more

It's sad to see so many poor reviews. Amina is amazing. She may not be for everyone because she doesn't coddle, she's straight to the point and no nonsense. That's what I want in a pharmacist. I started to go to Reading Ridge because CVS, Walgreens, and before they closed, RiteAid were unable to fill the special pediatric prescription for my son who had epilepsy. I have been using Reading Ridge Pharmacy for over 20 years . The main reason is the personal service that I receive from the pharmacist , Amina . She is familiar with everyone's medication history and in addition knows what and when is the appropriate way to take medication . Amina takes a personal interest and I do feel that because of Amina's caring I feel that I am utilizing an old time Pharmacy It has been more than once that I found a few things to buy that I couldn't find anywhere else plus I have used the greeting card section so I didn't have to go to another store to buy that birthday card . Carol , a long time employee is very helpful for finding something that I can't find on my own . The most important feature to me is that Amina , a true professional handles the prescriptions herself and will gladly answer any and all questions . This Pharmacy is honestly one of the worst I have ever been to. First and foremost let me say that I tend to prefer small 'mom and pop' type businesses (see my reviews). What usually comes with that small town feel however, is better and more personalized service. The sole reason that I go here is because it is closest to my home... And in fact, I still will use my old pharmacy in plainsboro when I am nearby enough to. The pharmacy itself looks straight like a page out of "Hoarders-- buried alive". Absolutely no organization, and boxes stacked upon boxes and shelves. I feel like I'm in a college dorm. Random trinkets splattered throughout the store for no given reason. Secondly, and most importantly, a prescription here takes 30 minutes to receive once you drop it off!! At my old pharmacy in plainsboro, I am used to handing the prescription over, having some small talk with the awesome pharmacist while he fills it in front of me, and done in 5 minutes MAX. Especially if there is no one else in the store. This isn't a CVS with hundreds of potential pending prescriptions, this is a SMALL pharmacy. I just will never understand why the waiting times here are the same as CVS and sometimes even longer. Part of me thinks if the back room pill storage area has the same layout as the store, the long wait could be because they are purely trying to find the right pills! Thirdly, Amina the pharmacist comes off as very cold. Yes she does know her stuff I will give her that. But aside from basic knowledge that ever pharmacist should have, there is no personality to her. When I called last night to see at what time they were closing, she rudely asks "who is this?" With no "I'm sorry we are actually already closed right now can I help you with something?" When I told her who I was she did offer to stay and wait, but I wasn't nearby and I felt as it was an insincere offer anyway. Overall, I think that when I have to get my prescriptions in flemington I am going to make the extra few minutes of a drive to the nearby CVS as much as I hate supporting huge chains, because in the end I will receive the same service with a bigger and WAY more organized store. read more

Amena is a very professional pharmacist, she knows about the drugs your Dr prescribes for you and will always make sure you know any important information about them before you take them. After the first visit there she knows who you are and always says hi with your name. The store is small and a lot of stuff on the shelves from over the counter to lots of different novelty items. I always see some neet new thing there. It has the atmosphere of an old small town pharmacy. I rather give her my business than one of the box ones. read more

This is literally the first time I have EVER written a review. That is how strongly I feel about this. My oldest son has cerebral palsy. He takes numerous medications for which we need special syringes. When I first called to ask if they have them, the pharmacist (I'm guessing Ameena) started grilling me like I was a drug dealer or something. She finally backed off and said she would check and get back to me. A week later I call and she says "oh yea, I can't get them". She then proceeded to lie and tell me she called and left a voicemail and wasn't going argue with me. Hey brain surgeon, if you're going to lie don't say you left a voicemail which I can check on. I thought pharmacists were supposed to take some sort of oath to HELP people, not be a nasty, impatient, rude, witch. (not the word I want to use.) Ameena maybe you should rethink your career choice and go into something where you don't have to deal with people. What a shame. read more

Amena is amazing! I used to go to Rite-Aid but after being poorly treated by their head pharmacist many times, I decided to take my (&my family's) prescriptions elsewhere. I have a complicated medical history and I'm on just under 10 medications, I like to have a good relationship with my pharmacist. I also don't have great insurance! Amena literally goes out of her way to make sure I'm taken care of, regardless of how inconvenient it may be. She takes her time AND she's learned the names of my family and I as well... so I honestly feel like I can trust her. Which to me, is very important when it comes to my medications! I literally couldn't ask for a better pharmacist, she's always prompt and has my meds ready when I need them. One prescription isn't covered by my insurance and she has the lowest prices I've seen, not to mention she will do whatever she can to help me afford it. She's very understanding and keeps your information private. There's no screaming your first and last name and medications out with other people standing around. (Which I actually witnessed at the fore mentioned store...smh) The store itself may be a tad off putting if you're not comfortable with the "mom&pop" feel, but personally I love it. I randomly got a fractured tooth and I could find everything I needed to treat it while picking up my scripts. If I ever need diapers, wipes, little toys, etc for my daughter...I can get them there (name brand and store brand) with reasonable prices. It's not Walmart but it's not regular drug store prices either. I don't tend to write reviews but I felt Amena and her staff deserve the recognition. I've been going here for about 6-8 months now and I really have never felt negatively after leaving. Unlike other places that may judge you on your medications or make you wait hours and hours!
