Took days to get a response from them, then we set a time for the initial phone call and they never called. I had to call them back. The place is dirty, gross and super small. Once my daughters assessment was over, the lady looked at me and said "got the cash"? I felt like the whole thing was a scam. She said she would email me all the available times slots they have open and who would be available to tutor, whelp, it's been a week and she never sent the email. I should of trusted my gut when I walked in and immediately felt like I should walk out. Do not go here!

I enrolled him in 2: one for math tutoring and the other for a robotics building camp with Mindstorms Lego kits. It was expensive. It was mediocre and average in the math tutoring. The robot camp is a complete fiasco and I encourage you to not enroll or attend. I was told when registering him that there was only one space left. Obviously, myself and the 20 other mothers who were paying the exorbitant price were all told the same thing. It's a large room full of old computers and a few Mindstorm Lego kits with one supervising adult managing the room of 20 boys. For the price I paid for the camps I could have bought 2 of the kits and kept him at home. My son was bullied and there was no supervision for him to talk with and take the situation too. I have dropped in at times other than the pick up to assess the situation and witnessed a room full of kids with NO adult or teacher. Perhaps the other programs during the school year or one on one sessions are different-I did not have any experience with those. My family experienced the summer camps being held at the Grand Canyon Prep charter school which is a mile away from the address for the business. Our experience is bad, I would not go back, I would like to rate this experience somewhere around -100 on the richter scale and encourage other moms to seek out summer camps elsewhere for their child's safety.

They allowed him to be relentlessly bullied, leading to anxiety so severe he had to start medication--and even suffered an allergic reaction to this medication. Their only concern was an empty seat not his well being. Despite his struggles, Mrs. McIntyre denied him an IEP, claiming he was in advanced classes so that disqualified him, only offering minimal support through a 504 plan after significant delay (requested July, had a meeting in September, didn't get a copy until November with an October date listed as the start date.) The final straw was the tragic loss of another student to bullying, underscoring the school's failure to address serious issues. We had no choice but to pull our child out. This school will destroy both your child's well-being and your peace of mind. Please don't subject your children to this environment. We took it to the district level and were met with promises of getting in touch but silence once again. I wasn't told about a "bully packet" until the school resource officer told us after we withdrew our child from the school.

I would NEVER recommend a parent taking their child or children to Kyrene Middle School if they have disabilities. I've been fighting them since 6th grade to do an Evaluation on my child who has been medically diagnosed with Autisim and other disabilities through a psychologist and other professionals who can diagnose disabilities. Barely able to finally get them to evaluate my child during this year as a 7th grader. However as per IDEA act of 2004 the school and district did not comply with the laws and complete the Evaluation in the appropriate time frame. I had to file a complaint with the Az Education School Board. My child has been through so much this year and we've had to attend so many meetings both for their 504 Plan and for trying to attain an IEP. Last but not least An Individual Education Evaluation was done on my child by an outside party not associated with the Kyrene School district and paid for by the district. Hoping this Evaluation would help to attain my child an IEP. My child has once again been denied. We've had 3 instances where we've been told by staff at KMS that my child may have medical diagnoses of disabilities, but educationally it is not prevalent. Yet my child struggles yearly and without her parents being on top of them their grades would be F or Ds. 3 meetings this year we have been told my child is not eligible for an IEP and only Eligible for an 504 Plan because the needs of my child are better met through the 504. I wish this were true, but staff are not held accountable and plenty of staff I feel are just there for a pay check and do not want to put the extra effort in to help students with special needs. Children with special needs seem to consistently fall through the cracks, especially if their higher functioning. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO KYRENE IF THEY HAVE DISABILITIES. THE STRUGGLE IS REAL AS HAS BEEN WITH OUR CASE.

From the very beginning, the entire team has shown us warmth, thoughtfulness, and an unmatched level of care. They didn't just watch over my son--they nurtured him, celebrated him, and helped shape him into the kind, curious, and confident little person he is today. What makes this place truly extraordinary is the way they became a source of stability through some of the most challenging moments in our lives. During my breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, career shifts, and unpredictable schedule changes, they remained a constant. I never once worried about my son while he was in their care--because I knew he was safe, loved, and thriving. It's rare to find a team that feels like family, but that's exactly what we found here. We are forever grateful for the compassion, patience, and support they've given--not only to our child but to our entire family. If you're looking for a place that will care for your child with heart, purpose, and genuine love, look no further. This daycare is truly one of a kind.
