The staff and administration present as if they thrive off parent involvement and accountability when in actuality they want the students to simply know the answers and test high, with no interaction from parents and when parents step in to seek guidance, support or clarification and attempt to hold staff and administration accountable they find any reason they can to paint the parent as the issue. Not only have I filed a police report against a teacher this year, I am now on my THIRD formal complaint with the board, have pulled my child and will be moving forward with legal steps. If you are an active, involved, and communicative parent this school will not be supportive. They focus on high score students and if your child begins to struggle in any capacity.. well it's up to your child to figure it out because 9 year olds are expected to be independent with their academic career. All while the administration allows for staff to intimidate, harass, bully, and use bias towards youth.

I love seeing my 1st grader already start multiplying. My 3rd grader is consistently challenging herself and tells us how she's enjoying the challenge. My 5th grader, who spent the most time at a different district is able to see the difference from a different prospective. He loves the energy his teachers have had. The teachers communicate student challenges effectively allowing the parents to become more involved early on and offer free tutoring. Koodoos for whoever is hiring the teachers.. The teachers are playing a big role in my kids wanting to be at school everyday and continue to challenge themselves! Thank you to the legacy teachers for being great leaders and mentors to our scholars. I'll wrap this review by saying as a parent, I appreciate the level of involvement the parents have in their children's education.

With the level of authority she holds, her judgment calls carry significant weight, yet many of those decisions raise serious concerns about whether they're being made in the best interest of students and staff. It's also worth noting that she encourages people to leave her positive reviews on yelp, which makes the feedback you see there feel less organic and potentially influenced. Because of this, I would take especially positive reviews with a grain of salt and consider seeking out a wider range of perspectives before forming an opinion.

Teachers this year have extremely high expectations for 10 year old kids. The last two months the school has pointed out behavior issues with my son. My son gets bullied like crazy and nothing is done about it. The school is so quick to pointing out everything he does so he gets in trouble rather than recognizing he needs guidance to improve. I'm so disappointed how the school has been treating and dealing with my son. He doesn't want to go to school because he feels like the staff is targeting him. If your kid fits the "normal" stereotype of a kid, they will do fine at the school. If your kid struggles in anything, behavior or academically, don't waste your time sending your kid here. We won't be returning for 5th grade.

My experience with West Valley Christian during the application and enrollment process was…read moredisappointing. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent and often required multiple follow-ups to receive answers to basic questions. Responses were not always timely, making the process more stressful and time-consuming than it needed to be. As a prospective parent, I expected greater professionalism and consideration for families' time. My scheduled tour was delayed by more than 20 minutes, and I had to ask about the delay because no one acknowledged how long we had been waiting. There were delays in communication, a lack of clear expectations, and limited follow-through on questions and concerns that were raised throughout the process. I was also concerned by what appeared to be preferential treatment during the admissions process. While every family wants the best opportunity for their child, it is important that all applicants are treated fairly, respectfully, and consistently. Additionally, I would have liked to see a stronger commitment to diversity and inclusion, which is a true reflection on Gods kingdom. First impressions matter, and my experience left me questioning whether all families would feel equally welcomed and valued. While I cannot speak to the academic experience, my interactions during the admissions process did not reflect the level of organization, responsiveness, and family-centered approach I was hoping to find in a school community. I pray that West Valley makes significant improvements to their enrollment/application process.

Long story short, This school lets out early ALOT. I dont know about other people, but I work. My 16 year old goes to Goodyear High and pics his brother and sister up daily, on short days he runs 30min behind because his school does not let out in time to be there at 12:20-12:35. I have been called and yelled at, chastised, belittled, and told "We are not babysiters," when my kids were waiting for their brother to pick them up. Mind you, other kids as well as security are present well after school has ended, no problems there tho. But for the front office lady to yell at my 16 year old son that he needs to take his 6 yr old sister and 10 year old brother and het off campus now... or to make a 6 year old start walking home alone while she cries that she doesnt want to because shes waiting for her older brother and shes scared to walk home... In the middle of me apologizing while gettin chastised, I was cut off multiple times and told things like "Well, you need to figure something else out,"...."Thats not my problem,"...."We are not babysitters." This is how Copper trails treats parents and children that attend AND LEND A HAND AT EVENTS. LMAO. THIS SCHOOL IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CHILDREN. THEY CARE ABOUT A CHECK. DONT LET THE FEW REVIEWS FOOL YOU. IVE TALKED TO SEVERAL PARENTS THAT SHARE MY SAME VIEWS ABOUT THIS PLACE. Currently exploring options for my children to attend school elsewhere....... And they wonder why kids dont give a damn about school. Seems to me it because the teachers dont give a damn about them.

For some reason, she feels it's acceptable to mislead kids in an attempt to elicit information. For example, she told my niece that she saw her on camera using her phone, asking why she called her mom about a referral she received. However, my niece didn't call her mom, and she didn't even have her phone with her. Ms. Dawson then went to my sister's classroom and shared the same misleading information with her. Additionally, I have requested a 504 plan for my child, who is struggling with math despite having an IEP in that subject. Unfortunately, the request was denied because my child doesn't "qualify." Now, I have to wait another month for the school to conduct their own IEP evaluation. I can't shake the feeling that Ms. Dawson holds some biases against my family members who attend this school.

The administration and many teachers seem far more concerned with protecting each other than supporting the students they are supposed to educate. I've found some staff members to be dismissive, disrespectful, and completely uninterested in listening to legitimate student concerns. The quality of education is deeply disappointing and falls nowhere near the standards the school claims to promote. Even more concerning is the apparent failure to address bullying effectively. Students have been subjected to cruel and unacceptable behavior, yet meaningful action often seems absent or inadequate. Rather than creating a safe and supportive learning environment, this school appears more focused on preserving its image. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this school to any family expecting accountability, respect, or a quality education. Best regards, John park
