I love seeing my 1st grader already start multiplying. My 3rd grader is consistently challenging herself and tells us how she's enjoying the challenge. My 5th grader, who spent the most time at a different district is able to see the difference from a different prospective. He loves the energy his teachers have had. The teachers communicate student challenges effectively allowing the parents to become more involved early on and offer free tutoring. Koodoos for whoever is hiring the teachers.. The teachers are playing a big role in my kids wanting to be at school everyday and continue to challenge themselves! Thank you to the legacy teachers for being great leaders and mentors to our scholars. If you are an active, involved, and communicative parent this school will not be supportive. They focus on high score students and if your child begins to struggle in any capacity.. well it's up to your child to figure it out because 9 year olds are expected to be independent with their academic career. I've had serious incidents involving my 5th grade daughter where I raised concerns beforehand about potential bullying, safety concerns, and bathroom fights. Despite reaching out ahead of time the school failed to prevent these incidents and failed to notify me promptly. Another incident involving my 2nd grade daughter was similarly mishandled, with the school downplaying the severity and failing to report what truly happened when it happened. The lack of structure and the school's focus on tutus, wigs, pep rallies, spirit week and snowcones overcomes their focus on education, professionalism and safety. I expected a safe, academically driven environment for my daughters, and instead I've been met with disappointment, a lack of accountability and below grade level performance.

Teachers this year have extremely high expectations for 10 year old kids. The last two months the school has pointed out behavior issues with my son. My son gets bullied like crazy and nothing is done about it. The school is so quick to pointing out everything he does so he gets in trouble rather than recognizing he needs guidance to improve. I'm so disappointed how the school has been treating and dealing with my son. He doesn't want to go to school because he feels like the staff is targeting him. If your kid fits the "normal" stereotype of a kid, they will do fine at the school. If your kid struggles in anything, behavior or academically, don't waste your time sending your kid here.
