In 2014 my sister found a dead body behind the schools fence. At recess, they did not alert the parents or shutdown the school day went on and after school, my sister told my parents exactly who the dead body was. DO NOT ENROLL YOUR KIDS HERE. I was here from the 3rd - 7th grade. I'm 23 now. In the 3rd grade on September 11 my art teacher play a clip from 9/11 of people, jumping out of the burning building. With no context. I practically skipped the fourth grade because my fourth grade teacher, (Mrs. Shellhammer) would constantly kick me out of class and I had to sit in a corner in someone else's classroom for the entire fourth grade. I am not joking! If I opened my mouth, she would just send me to another class even though I wasn't getting written up!? In the fifth grade we had a friend her name was Sarah, she was an orphan. She had a foster mom with a foster brother when they came here we knew how Sarah terrible depression, and a cutting problem. My sister and a few friends brought her a basketball and covered it with glitter. No we did not spread glitter all over the school that wasn't the issue. The issue was when we were walking down the hall, we had glitter all over our hands and faces when we were told to wash it off, we said no. Long story short they brought the police so Sarah starts running away from the school. A police officer teases her before she can even get off school premises. We were in the office watching this happen. Also in the 4th grade, my music teacher (ms. shmitt) said infront of everyone "CHASE YOU DO NOT HAVE A VAGINA" because he was singing the part made for the girl. Also She heard I was sad about not getting the part in a dr. Seuss play so she decided to pull me out of my first period class to tell me what she thinks. She said, "you did not get the part because you cannot sing." Why did she only do that to me well because she heard someone say that, that girl only got the part because she's one of the teachers daughters and thought it was me who said it. Mind you I am literally crying before she even pulled me out of class because I had just gotten beaten down and in rock by my stepmom I was leaving from my hand and wrist and was. Also one day my parents showed up to school because money was missing so in the office my parents beat us in front of the whole staff. And did nothing about it even tho it's your job to report children being abused. Yet you guys constantly called CPS on us and then when you actually watch a child get beaten, you guys did nothing about it. What do you have to say for yourself Inca. My brother is autistic and was in a special needs class. My brother being in the first grade had accident in his pants and they didn't even bother cleaning him up. Mind you, when you ask for a tour of the school, they have showers that are made for children of special needs in the nurses office and in the classroom. They locked him in the bathroom and he was playing with his feces. It wasn't just the teachers it was the staff and the principal they were all generally bad people that did most of the abuse especially if we're in the first grade. I got sent to a first graders classroom for detention and I watched the first grade teacher treat all her kill shit I literally stood up and said yeah I'm not staying here and walk the fuck out until the office pulled me right back into her class and so her and another teacher were literally looking at me and laughing at me the entire time. Tell me Inca was any of the right or appropriate why didn't you just transfer me to another teacher if I was missing so much precious learning time. Why didn't anybody call CPS when our parents put their hands on us right in front of the whole entire staff?

The teachers and staff truly care about each student and go above and beyond to help them grow academically and personally. The sense of community is strong, and you can feel the positive energy as soon as you walk onto campus. Our kids are excited to go to school every day, and we've seen so much progress in their confidence, learning, and friendships. Legacy provides a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment that really brings out the best in its students. We're so proud to be part of the Bulldog family!

Rachel Crossman appears to consistently overlook what should be the top priority, student safety…read more In my experience, she also tends to dismiss or ignore concerns raised by teachers and parents, which makes it difficult to feel heard or supported. With the level of authority she holds, her judgment calls carry significant weight, yet many of those decisions raise serious concerns about whether they're being made in the best interest of students and staff. It's also worth noting that she encourages people to leave her positive reviews on yelp, which makes the feedback you see there feel less organic and potentially influenced. Because of this, I would take especially positive reviews with a grain of salt and consider seeking out a wider range of perspectives before forming an opinion.
