I have been so impressed with this school from the little details to the big things that matter. They are committed to keeping kids safe by only letting those on the approved pick up list show their ID's to pick up kids- IMPERATIVE in today's world. They are on top of informing parents about the status of the events, dates and information we need. They are so good about pumping the kids up for school everyday with fun music playing at the entrance and approved upperclassman opening doors for kids and saying "Have a great day!" Thought this was a 1st day of school thing but it's still going on! And from an educational standpoint I am so impressed. My girls are challenged and aided through every level of their education. They are both in the Honors class called Traditional Academy (not sure why this name when it's for all advanced students in each grade) and they are learning Spanish, moving though subjects and levels faster and I'm always kept informed about what is going to be taught. The principal at this school is incredible and is made for this job. He is kind, fun, caring and involved. He is high giving kids, giving smiles on the corner waving parents into school in the morning and sitting with the kids at lunch. You won't find a better school! Verrado Elementary is IT!
