They did have a couple of gems but nothing that was very rare or a must have. Some of the "grail" selections they did have were way overpriced. I didn't purchase anything as the price on the few that I wanted was too high. The store could have great potential if it was a little cleaner and better organized. Could also do with way less CDs. Felt like I had to spend a lot of time digging around to find anything I was looking for.

This shop's selection was not what most people were looking for, it was what the owner was looking for, and it was the smallest selection I have ever seen in this shop. I understand RSD is an expensive day for shops and they cannot buy everything to have in stock. However, that was not the biggest problem. This shop is dirty. There is a cat and the shop smells like it doesn't know how to use the litter box. The owner tries to cover up the odor by burning incense nonstop, and the ashes from the incense just pile up on the shelf. I walked out feeling like I needed to take a bath with the stench stuck in my nose.

Found this place while visiting downtown Raleigh. And I'm glad I did since I was able to find 3…read morerecords under $30. One of the vinyl now is $20+ alone! So I would say I found a better deal here since it's an older copy, even the lyric book was in good shape. All vinyls are put into a plastic sleeve after you buy them and appeared to be free of dust when you open them. It did take some time to get in the store, it was a Saturday afternoon and due to covid only 2 customers are allowed in and it's no time restrictions. Once inside the store is well organized and labeled with genres and prices. They even have bargain sections below, which I was offered a stool to sit down with and continue my search. So if you're into vinyls and rare finds this is the place. I know I'll be back.

I saw Olivia Muenter speak about her new book Little One, and the seating and organization of the whole event was handled flawlessly. I thought it was very kind of the event to offer free tickets in addition to tickets that came with a copy of the book, as I had preordered from another store. I appreciated the consideration, and it made me want to stock up on other books from them. I didn't have any issues with parking at all- I got a spot in the large lot right out front. I was also able to choose from a variety of options for quick dinner stops before my event. All in all, a great addition to North Hills!

This shop is nestled into the small streets of DT Raleigh in a charming way, like a corner in Diagon alley. It's walking distance from a park and many eateries. We all ordered pastries and lattes, then shopped for stickers and books. There's a table near the front and some more in the back by the cafe. Fun, curated collections of books and zines that we really appreciated. My hot oat matcha latte was delicious and so was my amazing cheddar scone. The baristas and owner were incredibly nice and friendly. It set the tone for a great day in DT Raleigh.

I typically love Barnes & Noble, but this particular location fascinated me and not in a good way…read more First off, Barnes & Noble is in the Village District, so there's plenty of parking. Inside is like any other Barnes & Noble location; it's bright, clean, easy to navigate, and there are areas to sit and read. There were lots of sections that had books on sale for 1/2 off as well as non-book items for a discount. However, this store is probably the smallest I've been to which results in less options. What dropped my rating to 3 stars is my biggest pet peeve I've never seen in any new book store until my most recent visit...authors were not in alphabetical order! I was looking for Dean Koontz in particular, an author that is often compared to Stephen King. There were lots of Stephen King soft and hardcovers, however, I couldn't find a single Dean Koontz novel. Not only that, but the horror section had Stephen King both on top and bottom shelves as well as other authors that were mixed in but weren't letters "j" or "l", causing some chaos with finding authors. My husband didn't notice until I pointed it out and he too, thought that was strange. I did buy a pack of fun pens for $5.25 while I was there which was half off, not a bad deal for a novelty item! The cashier was friendly, it was a short interaction for a pack of pens so not much else was needed beyond that. I don't think my OCD will allow my mind to want to come back, though. I can't get past the books not being in alphabetical order by author's names, which is crazy for a Barnes & Noble.
