Last year they said they were closing after this season. I didn't see any indication of that. They just increased their prices and the trees were in much worse shape! We had a really hard time finding a good tree this year. read more

Over the years I have always thought that going and cutting a tree would be fun, as it was in the rain I really was disappointed. The trees for the most part had brown growth I was told due to the summer weather. The prices are posted and for some reason I was charged more than what was posted for a Noble under 8ft. That being said I did not want to argue and being wet I paid and left. There are some decent smaller trees,5-6ft near the parking lot. Also they have some trees already cut that were good looking. So with that said will I go back there? I think not as there are other farms that have better trees. The fact that my experience is not memorable in a positive way says it all. My family home is just down the road from here & a need for some tradition brought my husband & I here for our first married Christmas. And instantly after driving onto the property, I felt that Christmas vibe that can be missing in the big city. Long after my parents got old & converted to the plastic tree, I am still not sold on cutting down trees...but it feels like Christmas putting on the gloves & hat, driving through the snow/frost, and parking under those lovely crackling power lines to the smell of evergreens. The farm offers an excellent selection of big trees, my weakness. This year we have our lowest ceilings & while I tired to go small, we still had that Griswold moment of putting up the tree & scraping the ceiling. This place is really a value if you want a big tree. They have saws for you to use & grandsons roll around in trackers with trailers to p/u the trees. They also wrap up the trees & put them atop your vehicle (with care!) Douglas are $30, nobles are the most at $55. They only take cash or check, but we were total idiots & showed up without the mon and they let us send the check. Wow. That is a family business! Not the most convenient for Seattleites or the cheapest, but this adventure brought a big towering bit of Christmas to our home. read more

This tree farm is incredible. It is easily accessible from Snohomish and has a great selection of trees. I felt like I was getting a Christmas tree for the first time when I went here. It is well organized (like a high end toy store) and the staff is ready and excited to help you bring your tree back in. They have carts and tractors to help guests collect their evergreen treasures and then they'll wrap 'em up and harness them to your car for you. It really makes the whole experience easy and fun...even for the person who doesn't like tromping through the cold to uncover a little extra holiday magic. I recommend this farm in particular for the great service and incredible selection of trees, swags, wreathes and ornaments. read more

It is our family tradition to get our Christmas tree from Reade Farms on the weekend after Thanksgiving. We could not get it that weekend this year...we tried on Saturday, December 3rd, and were greatly disappointed when we saw the "closed for the season" sign and the gate shut at the farm. Luckily, as we are from the area, we knew of other u-cut tree farms. We traveled back into Snohomish and went to Campbell's Tree Farm (on Springhetti Road). Though not as big as Reade, their hospitality and helpfulness are unequaled. Hopefully, others knew where else to go and there weren't a lot of disappointed families on the road this past weekend. I had looked up Reade online last weekend just to check out the hours. The thought never crossed my mind to check again...how can a tree farm run out of Christmas trees in November?!? read more

End of an era, they have not maintained the health of the trees or the property. Quality & quantity is poor. I asked worker, told me the owner passed away, and the are trying to survive another year or 2 and that I should go to Stocker Farms, and that we did! read more

Looked at various places for trees before coming to Reade - and I won't be going anywhere else again. This place is AMAZING. This place is amazing- from prices, to varieties of trees, to selection, all the way to the helpful staff. We not only had help getting our u-cut tree baled and evenly cut, but a staff member helped us tie it securely to the top of our car. Don't look anywhere else for your Christmas tree! read more

Came here b/c of Yelp reviews, really glad we did. Pros: -Open at 9 am on wknd. -Friendly staff. -Really reasonable prices based on tree type, not size. -Wide variety of trees to select from - and they were in great condition. -Minimal walking distance to fields. -Helpers will cut down tree for you with chain saw if you want, pick your tree up from the field with a tractor (kids loved the ride along) to the bailing station (big bonus not having to drag the tree back to the check out), will carry it to car and help tie it down. Plenty of staff on hand so we did not have to wait very long to be helped. -Free cider, hot chocolate, candy canes. -Plenty of parking. Cons: -Cash only, no credit cards. -Difficult to find (seemed closer to Monroe than Snohomish) and they are not listed on google maps, although there were signs along 171st. -Fire pit would have been nice touch (it was 20 degrees when we were there). -Very very minor thing, but thought it was a little odd that the girls behind the drink station had a tip jar when they did not assist in preparing or serving the hot drinks. read more

We loved it here. Found a giant grand fir tree at a great price. They have a big selection and the guys on the tractor helped with their chainsaw when my husband was struggling with the old school D saw. Complimentary hot cocoa, apple cider and candy canes were a big hit with the kids. Cash or check only. read more

I am among the others that went out to Reade to get a tree (drove almost an hour) and found out they were closed at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. I was pretty ticked off. Unfortunately for me, I didn't know of anywhere else to go so I ended up going back home and buying a tree from a stand. What a waste of time and gas. read more

This was our first Christmas in the Pacific Northwest. They were so welcoming to us and took time to explain the different species found here as compared to the Midwest. We were thrilled with our tree and our experience. There were so many beautiful trees to pick from. It is a simple, family run Christmas tree farm. There was nothing flashy about it but it is run by good people who truly seem to love what they do. We will definitely be back. read more

We went to this farm yesterday and half their trees were dead and the other half were extremely overpriced. All trees under 8" were $67. Even 4" trees. The quality was poor and prices were crazy. We will not be going back here ever. read more

We tried to go there today, December 3rd and they were closed for the season. We went to one nearby and found out they had not planted enough trees this year and ran out the first weekend. On another note, it is close to Snohomish and easy to get to. read more

We ended up here after the tree farm we normally go to closed. I can't believe we didn't go to Reade Ranch sooner! They have a LOT of trees, each section was well marked, reasonable prices, flat prices for each type of tree (regardless of size), and super friendly staff. We will be getting our Christmas trees from Reade Ranch from here on out! read more

Best trees for the money! My family and I have been going here for years and have always had a great experience. All of the staff is kind and helpful; they are also quite trusting! We showed up forgetting our check book and they don't take credit cards- they took down my name and phone number and asked that I just mail them a check when I got home. They didn't even hesitate about letting us take the tree we had cut down. Aside from the one year they ran out of trees (2011) I have never been disappointed with Reade in any way. We will continue to make the drive out here year after year for our tree. read more

They are OPEN for business this Christmas holiday season, 2016!!! The sweet lady who owns the place confirmed to me they open the day after Thanksgiving, (Friday the 25th), AND are accepting credit cards this year! We have loved coming to this tree farm for years. read more

As they don't have a website, I had to call to make sure they were open. Great selection and prices. Free hot coco! The only bummer is that it is located under tons of electrical high wires. Hard to get a good picture without them. read more

Today we took a short drive over to the Reade Christmas Tree Ranch. It was our first experience cutting down our own Christmas tree. We loved it! All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. I couldn't have imagined a worse experience! This place does not deserve to be in business. We were greeted with a man asking us of he new us, then accused of lying about finding the place online, then accused of opening the gate unlawfully and trespassing! We just followed the directions on GPS and followed the signs that said "trees." We drove 45 minutes to this dump to encounter Scrooge himself! If you want to leave a place shaking with anger and dumbfounded that one person can be so rude, this is the place for you! read more
