It looked very tricky to me since it was right on the property line up against a fence and I was afraid dropping the huge tree sections would damage the fence. Wow. I contracted with Harlan to have two white pines that were close to my house removed. One…read morewas enormous and very close to the house. They took that one down in three pieces. It intertwined with another white pine in my neighbor's yard. They separated the two with very minor limb breakage to my neighbor's tree. The second tree was smaller by still pretty substantial. It was already dying, so probably a little lighter than a healthy tree. They lifted that tree off in one piece. They had both trees cut down and chopped up, with final cleanup in about two hours.

They do a phenomenal job -- my property always looks great afterward. In addition to the quality of the actual work, I have also found it easy to communicate and work with those in the scheduling department as well as management. Whenever I email them, I routinely get a response in 24 hours (and often times within the same day). And on the day of the work, someone in a supervisory/management role will typically be on hand to make sure everyone is on the same page before the work gets started (especially if I have a specific request or if something has changed from the previous season). They were also able to re-use some of my stone which brought the cost down a little. They had an entire retaining wall with new steps done in less than a week, and it looks great.
