This is a review long overdue; I've been to Teso many times before, with my first few times way back when it first opened and they had photos of the store thiefs printed and posted on their front door (it always gave me a chuckle, but I think for legality purposes they had to take those photos down RIP). Ironically it was because of those photos that caught my interest to check out Teso, because it was reminiscent of the kind of public shaming behavior I'd see within Asian communities haha. I enjoy treating myself in Teso when I can; they have a huge selection of Chinese Lays, Japanese gummies, childhood favorites like Calbee and Meiji. Huge selection of drinks too, and endless rows of beauty products ranging from hair styling, coloring, mascara, facial masks, etc all packaged in a very aesthetic layout, and you'd know anything you get is going to be good. I've gotten good quality home sandals here too, and enjoy the soft serve ice cream options in their refrigerated areas.

At the checkout counter I was given a orange reusable TESO Life shopping bag featuring their cute monkey logo. It was a thoughtful touch and a souvenir from my visit. The only downside I noticed was the lack of staff available on the sales floor. If you're just browsing, that's not a big issue, but if you need help finding a specific item, it maybe difficult to get assistance since the only employees I saw during my visit were working at the cash registers. Overall, it's a fun store to explore, especially if you enjoy discovering unique items that are difficult to find anywhere else.

There were half a dozen employees, all friendly and knowledgeable. One woman was advising several people, including my mom, on what type of hair brush would better suit them. That's just one example of how I felt like the staff here went above and beyond my expectations. And by the way, the Sally's discount card is only $5 or so, you get a paper copy, a card, and a key chain card. So, my mom, my sister and I can all get the discounts on tons of items in the store when we're not together. We made back the $5 and more in savings on this trip alone. Very cool.

She then pointed to another side of the store and suggested he would find things he liked more over there - the cheaper side of the store. She said this to my cousin who knows more about skincare and owns more expensive products than the rest of us. On top of that, we were with with another cousin from overseas. I regularly come to this Walgreens location to pick up my prescriptions. Overall, the store is…read moregenerally clean and organized, and the actual pharmacy staff is almost always very friendly and quick. However, my recent experience changed a bit when a regular store employee stepped in to help at the pharmacy counter (you could tell the difference right away because he was wearing a standard Walgreens shirt rather than scrubs). Unfortunately, his customer service was subpar and his tone could have been a lot more friendly. While I understand that communication styles can vary, consistency in friendly customer service is something all pharmacy customers look for. Management really needs to provide these store employees with proper training before having them handle customer-facing pharmacy duties. For instance, handing out prescriptions in a bag feels like basic common sense, but apparently, that isn't known to everyone. I still appreciate the core pharmacy team, but training definitely needs an upgrade!
