If "so-so" was a sound it would be - Meh. First Let me…read morefirst say that my vehicle arrived without damage and on time thanks to the unknown carrier (No visible company name or visible DOT numbers). As far as the broker Jerry, goes.....well, let me say he communicated regularly but there were some shenanigans afoot. US Auto Movers were the cheapest by far, but the original price changed after the 1st carrier's truck broke down and the 1st carrier didn't tell me until the day after the pickup was scheduled. And that was only after I inquired about the status. They wanted me to wait 2 weeks to ship. I declined. So US Auto movers found another carrier, and the price increased dramatically (almost double). I declined again. Miraculously, the price got down to something closer to the original quote (within reason). I signed the "documents" for the agreed upon rate after some deliberation and back and forth between us. Fast forward to the delivery day. The carrier unloaded quickly and nearly on time. When it came time for payment, I paid the agreed upon sum by to the driver's Zelle account. There was a discrepancy between what I agreed to pay, and what the broker and carrier agreed upon. Apparently there is a love/hate relationship between carriers and brokers. As I dug deeper, and became the negotiator between the broker and the carrier driver, I found that the amount on the "contract" document had changed to more than what was agreed upon, but it did not contain my signature. I was not going to pay one cent more than the agreed to price. In short, everyone got paid what was originally agreed to, but I shouldn't have been the middleman between the broker and carrier. I received my bike at the agreed price, undamaged, and in reasonable time. Would I use them again? Possibly. Would I seek alternatives next time? Possibly. Good luck in your quest.

There were red flags as kept calling non stop to place order. They asked me to call driver to…read moreconfirm pick up to give confidence driver was on schedule. Monday pick up arrives, I get a text truck has broken down 5 minutes before scheduled pick up. Call rep, he informs me if I want vehicle picked up on Tuesday, he can get vehicle on truck TOMORROW but price will be 2X or $600. I told him I can wait until Wednesday if they honor $300. The call back on Tuesday to APOLOGIZE $600 as trucks are full. I called Driver who texted and Sales rep answers phone. It's in morning, and I can hear TAXI noise from another country. I realize I've been PLAYED as rates doubled, transport driver and Sales rep have access to same phone number, and OBVIOUSLY OFFSHORE COMPANY as I can hear horns of taxi. US Auto Movers on Google Maps is not even operational in New York. It's a mailing address with OFFSHORE BOILER ROOM SCAMMING AMERICAN CONSUMERS. I've read the GAME is to keep you playing as you'll have no other choice but to PAY UP. I also read they play game with drivers as bid on job for $500, and they try to low ball driver for $200. I am AMAZED someone is able to set up a business OFFSHORE with BOILER ROOM, legally operate in NEW YORK, and SCAM people in United States. JOKE IS ON US!!! Stupid Americans.

I would have loved to give Knickerbocker a positive review. Initial calls with Eric were great. He…read morewas super responsive and even though there were some challenges (drove to the middle of nowhere New Jersey to drop my car) it was a reasonable price compared to others. Issues were threefold: - Eric basically represented and used a facility that does its own direct auto transport. When questioned (because they were cheaper) he highlighted his business as better due to a number of factors. None of these ended up coming to fruition. - the Rando he got to transport my car was horrible. Lack of communication or updates. Ended up delivering the car two or three days later than promised (meaning I missed being able to inspect the car). And throughout the process was full of lies regarding arrival time and why he wasn't delivering on time. - car was damaged during transport but because I was out of town for 2 months after the fact and wasn't able to confirm and share this with Eric (because it was delivered late) I had no recourse for costs to fix the damage. - finally, In reviewing his end of year books, Eric got confused about a voided transaction (I had been charged twice initially and there was a void in his books). He assumed that it was me doing it due to my dissatisfaction and charged my credit card again without confirming the issue with me. He left messages while I was in a meeting and then charged my card without confirming. When I called, he apologized for his angry action but for someone who highlights professionalism amongst his traits, I feel this was way out of line. I was going to just leave things as is and not write a review and leave things as they were in August but given the action he took today I felt compelled to warn others.
