I purchased a lazy boy from rc willey in clearance. It was on sale for $200 which I bought was pretty good. They customer service was really friendly which I liked. Always clean and classy. I think they should have better policies on children running around the store. I wanted to try out some of the other stuff but there were always a ton of kids climbing all over everything. I purchased a washer/dryer pair. When the ever-so-helpful RC Willey deliverymen arrived, my mother was the one who was at the house to greet them. They informed her they would not unhook the old washer & dryer as it was a liability, despite her having arthritis in her hands. They literally stood there watching her struggle to undo the faucets. They were kind enough to actually haul away the old pair (surprisingly enough after standing around). Then, they refused to actually hook up the new pair. Because, you know, liability. I'm a single woman who relied on a company to follow through on a delivery and installation. Imagine my surprise later when I found there was no dryer cord! Yes, that is correct. Hundreds of dollars on new appliances that didn't include a way to actually run the thing. So, now I had to purchase a dryer cord and either hire someone to connect it or do it myself. Man. This place is terrible at communicating with each other. I went there to get a mattress with a friend. We both ordered the same mattress, and the sales man said that if we didn't want to pay 2 delivery fees, we could just put that they were to be delivered at 2 different addresses. He seamed very confident that it would be easy so I agreed (duh to save $60 dollars why wouldn't you??). So they original delivery was fine, besides the deliver men calling me saying "we are 5 minutes away" when I was at work. I ended up needing to exchange the mattress for a different size.. I called to exchange it and they had my friends address on the account. I made sure with the person I was talking to that it was changed. I double checked at the end of the call that it was changed and was assured my address was on there. Last night, I got an email confirmation of the delivery, and the address on there was my friends... so I called right away and customer service told me the address was changed to my address. Today (delivery day) I got a call saying no one was home. Funny, because I'm sitting on my couch. They verified the address, and guess what, it was my friends address.... so now I'm missing even more work waiting for them to come here. Looking back I should've just paid the $60. I'm not sure why it's so hard to change an address but I guess it's just very difficult for them?? Haha. I won't ever get anything from here again just because delivery service has been such a joke. read more

Waited and waited for someone to help us in flooring. Even had another sales associate go and ask someone to help us. To no avail. Thirty minutes later we just left...maybe they thought since my husband wasn't with us that we couldn't make the final decision on what we wanted without his consent. Frustrated. There was a flooring associate sitting at her desk eating out of a Walmart sack...maybe she was on her break? Or maybe she didn't want to be bothered. We bought a washer/dryer set from them. Asked them to deliver it a few weeks after purchase. Everything was great. the price was better than what we saw anywhere. On the delivery they called us that Saturday morning and told us what time window to expect them. They then called us an hour-ish before they showed up. Everything was great. They showed up. and the dryer was dented. Well, they happened to be out of stock on that model so we would have to wait until 10 days for them to deliver the replacement. Monday (today) rolls around and we get a phone call. The guys with the truck are at our house to deliver the replacement. We were NOT at the house. There was no call to tell us a time frame. there was no call an hour before they showed up. So oops too bad. guess you have to wait a few more days before you get the thing you paid for. So when is it going to be delivered now? Wednesday. No time frame. But the customer service rep said they SHOULD call me at least an hour before they come. Like they did today right? Short story. If you cant take it home with you. don't buy from these people. The have no respect for your scheduling to make sure you will actually be available to take delivery. read more

Horrible first time experience with delivery. I ordered a bed frame and full size bed on Saturday 4/25. Of course the bed comes on Thursday 4/30. However there was no box spring. Oh sorry there was mislabel it was a twin. how can you not tell the difference between the 2? So I was I told they could deliver till tomorrow morning. They then told me oh but you can go get from warehouse in salt lake city if you want it now. I had no truck to get myself. Luckly my boyfriend worked near their warehouse and was able to get for me. honestly you order something a week ahead they should be prepared to deliver the item. Not very happy with RC Wiley right now. We've gone exclusively with RC Wiley to furnish both of our new houses we've moved into over the past 8 years. Their customer service had always brought us back time and time again. I've noticed that the quality of their furniture has declined. We just bought a sectional that was delivered and not set up correctly so we thought it was broken. Called to get it returned, but instead they came and repositioned it. Why wasn't it done right in the first place. Tipped the two delivery guys pretty good to bring my existing dryer up the stairs since they were already being our new dryer up. All's they did was wheel it up stairs and drop it. didn't even bother to position it in the space. We bought a dinning set that arrived with a broken piece under the dinning table. One of the chairs was uneven and wobbled. The bench had a scuff. We had to schedule a pick up a second time. We just dropped into Ashely Furniture. Their sales people aren't near as nice and can't compete with RC Wiley's customer service, but their furniture looks much nicer and probably better quality. Service vs. quality hmmmmmm. I purchased a dishwasher from their Orem location, with in the first month the dishwasher sounded like it was going to blow up. I called customer service and spent over an hour on hold before getting cut off. I tried the option where I give the automated system my phone number and they call me back, I never got a call back. This circle went on for months, when I finally do get a hold of a human, I'm told my warranty has expired and there's nothing they can do. read more

We purchased a bed that had to be delivered 10 days after we bought it because it wasn't in stock, which was fine. We specifically said the delivery had to be after 3 and the salesman said they can do that because it was far enough in advance. The day comes and we were informed that it was coming in the morning, a time that no one would have been there, which is the exact reason we discussed the time specifications with the salesman to avoid this very situation. I call to change the time and they changed it to 3:30. Then I get a call from someone else saying that the time can not be changed, the date has to be changed. The lady I talked to said she would try and call the driver and call me back to confirm what was going to happen. She never called me back! So a fourth time I called them to see what the heck was going on and she told me I had to wait another 4 days for it!! So for another 4 days I don't have a bed to sleep on. I would strongly advise not to have anything delivered if it's not already in stock in the store. Their call center is terrible and different people had different information. Also, their salesmen need to have correct information when selling products to paying customers! This is one of the most terrible experiences I've had with a furniture company. read more

He is incredibly patient and pleasant. He helped us select the items we were looking for, as RCW has a large selection to look through and we welcomed his expertise. We have returned multiple times to RCW for additional purchases and always ask for Stefan, as well as recommend him to family & friends. If you have questions about different furniture items he either knows or finds out the answer. I am building a new home and needed a washer, dryer and 3 mattresses. I went to store picked out washer dryer was told my dryer coming from a different location would be there in a week I then picked out 1 mattress from clearance and 2 new mattresses. For delivery call the night before and pick my delivery time within a couple of hours...not even close to the truth! The delivery guy gave me a time frame on the phone then called the day of delivery and informed me "just so you know only washer 2 mattresses on truck" and added another 2 hours to delivery time frame. When I called warehouse I was told instead of 1 delivery it would be 3 on their time schedule not mine on different days!! I explained I work and it is difficult to take off that much time at which time and was told the salesman should have explained this to me. So pretty much the salesman are experienced at telling you what they want you to hear which is not the truth!! After they get your money you are at their mercy! I cancelled my delivery and am contemplating cancelling my entire order!! read more

If I could rate them less then 1 star I would. This location is HORRIBLE. From the customer service to the delivery. Everything is beyond horrible. If I could stop people from walking into this store and tell them to go to the other location, I would. We bought a mattress in June and had to trade it in because it was sagging so horrible in the middle that my husband and I were literally sleeping almost on top of each other and now the new mattress they sent us sags. I told them it just must be the mattress brand and I'd just like to pick another. They aren't letting me. So instead I'm sleeping on my couch and they have my $3500. Such bull crap. The bed I have DOES NOT feel anywhere like the floor model. I strongly believe they deliver factory defective beds on purpose. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a bed from them...go somewhere else....or to another location who will work with you. Learn from my mistake. read more

I went to RC Willey twice a couple of days ago and was so disappointed. The first time I was walking around the mattress section looking to buy a bed mattress set that same day and no one was helping me at all even though it seemed that many of the sale associates were not busy (as there were not a lot of people that day) so I left. The second time i was finally able to get some help but the associate seemed like he was annoyed and bothered to show me around and help me with my questions. Safe to say that I will not be purchasing from this location again. On top of that there was a promotion where if you were shopping for mattresses that you would receive a free pillow but was not offered the deal and decided not to bother asking as it seemed that the associate wanted to get my questions over with. read more

I have shopped at RC Willey for years and always been very happy but my most recent experience has been extremely negative. Several weeks ago I fell in love with a small accent piece of furniture, I paid for it and was told it would be delivered in two weeks. I then went to another RC Willey location and found the perfect chair and couch to match. The couch and chair have been delivered but the accent piece has been on backorder for several weeks. There have been no updates from RC Willey staff and when I go in or call to ask I am never given an answer. I am just told the piece is still on backorder. One staff member asked me if I wanted to return it and get my money back I replied that I had bought all of the remaining furniture that are currently in my living room to match the accent piece. I am frustrated with the time this has taken. It has been over 2 months we are still waiting. I am most frustrated by the lack of communication. I paid cash for all of these items. read more

I am so impressed with the management and the quality of the salesman here at the store. I am staging my house and came in to buy a lot of accessories and Mike the sales manager kept the store open nearly 3 hours just for me and made sure I felt taken care of! Alan my salesman didn't make me feel rushed or pressured. He carefully itemized over a hundred small items knowing he was not making a lot of gross on me. He helped me tote my several accessories across the floor to gather them and have them loaded into my vehicle before I even got into my car for me and was superb in his customer service. Thank you to Mike, Alan, Matt, the excellent finance team and other staff that made a big job easy and fun! I will continue to do nearly all of my furniture shopping at rc willey. This is an edited review. My quarrel is with RC Willey's (RCW) corporate people. I feel my first review was too harsh on the Orem store and I'm willing to acknowledge that the local employees were actually quite good to me. Manager Larry Smalley was particularly helpful and willing to make restitution on a pretty bad situation that was not of his making. If I could separate corporate RC Willey from the Orem store, here's how I would rate the two entities: Orem Store: 4 stars Corporate RC Willey: 1 Star I have been a long-time customer of RCW and have a lot of their stuff in my home. Three years ago I purchased a Frigidaire washing machine, which started going bad at the 2.5 year mark. Essentially the washer stopped cleaning and rinsing clothes properly. Clothes started coming out oily (and in some cases ruined) and the machine wouldn't rinse well anymore. To get by we used only 1-2 Tbsp of detergent in our cleaning cycles. Due to excessive suds that wouldn't rinse, we had to always do 2-4 extra cycles of water only just to get all the soap out. Using less than 1-2 Tbsp of detergent resulted in clothes that came out stinky and dirty. Again, the machine worked great for 2.5 years and nothing changed in our washing habits. We couldn't identify any factors that would contribute to a sudden decrease in the washer's ability to wash clothes. We turned to our RCW 5-year extended warranty. Technicians came to our home and were not successful in diagnosing or repairing the issue. Frigidaire was less than helpful for the technicians. Several hypotheses were pursued but none were successful. We changed detergent a dozen times, we started adding things like vinegar and borax to the wash, the technicians replaced parts such as the control board, but nothing helped the washer return to an acceptable level of functionality. The repair technicians reported to RCW that although on first glance the individual parts seemed functional, there were still definite problems with our appliance that were causing it to not work properly. The real issues happened when I began dealing with RCW's corporate extended warranty and customer service employees. Instead of correctly recording the repair tech reports as they were written, they falsified the records and destroyed the original reports. In their system, they entered the repair tech reports to say "washer functions according to manufacturer specifications" and omitted all information indicating the washer was not functioning normally and not washing clothes properly. As I escalated up the ranks of supervisors, RCW's customer service and extended warranty people all parroted the falsified tech reports to me. I'll spare you the details of my frustrating calls with corporate RCW, but suffice it to say that everyone I talked with repeated the same lies, refused to help, and tried to pass me off to the next person in line, up until VP John Bennion, who never did have the guts to make a call to me in spite of several messages from his underlings to do so. The most offensive person was a supervisor named Cathy. She was unaware that I had listened to a conversation between her and a repair tech and that I had a physical copy of his report. She blatantly lied to me and misrepresented what he had told her. At this point I turned to the Orem branch for help. Unlike RCW's corporate employees, the Orem customer service people were actually quite helpful and professional. Larry Smalley, a manager in Orem, acknowledged my frustration and made a good faith effort at restitution by buying back the appliances for store credit. He could have easily taken the same dishonest stance his corporate cohorts took, but he didn't. I feel he acted ethically and fairly with me and I hold no rancor toward him. I do feel bad that he had to clean up a mess of dishonesty and contract-breaking created by the RCW corporation. In spite of Larry's efforts, RCW's name is probably tarnished forever for me. EXTENDED WARRANTY FRAUD? We had a problem with a TV that we bought so we took it back and bought another one, RCWilley was good about that. The salesman how ever talked us into buying a extended warranty that I did not want! He told us that if in 4 years we had not used it, we would receive the entire amount back in cash. I told him I thought that was a lie and wanted it in writing. He never would give anything in writing he just kept showing me it was on the computer. I took the chance even though I thought it was to good to be true. (stupid me if it seems to good to be true it probably is) Now the 4 years has arrived and I went to get my full $290 back to find that the sales man was suppose to give us a written warranty stating the details of buy back. Which would have told us that we only got back $149 in a gift card. I knew in my heart that the sales man was lying, I should have stood my ground on buying a extended warranty. Because I felt like I had made a mistake I thought about this a lot over the four years, and remember the details and every word so well. Be careful everyone get everything in writing, I've found most extended warranty's are a waste of your money, it just gives the company more money in their pocket. I don't know if this same salesman is still there, but he should be ashamed of himself for lying to me. I could put his name up here but I don't want to slander him. I am grateful at least that they are giving something back even if it is in a gift card. Yet another ploy to make you spend more after all what can you get at RC Willeys for $149? read more

RC Wiley should get a negative star rating based on their sleep center. The salesperson (pretty sure the manager) is the one who sold us our king size mattress. We needed a soft mattress, no memory foam and he sold us the Serta iComfort. We took it home and hated it from the beginning. Kept if for three weeks and went back to the same salesperson and told him we wanted to return it. He told us that we needed to sleep on it at least 30 days, so we went home and tried it for a couple more weeks. Hated it and went back in. He told us that it's not unusual to have to sleep on it for a little longer and suggested that we have our kids put on clean socks and run around on the mattress to soften it up. Went home slept on it for another few weeks, now we are around 80 days in from the purchase-still hated it. Went Back in and told him we were done-he said that technically we could sleep on it for 100 days, so we should hang on to it and then come back if after that it doesn't get better. Went in at 110 days and he told us that the return period was 100 days and now we can't return it. I was livid!!! It didn't matter that we had gone in three times before! He was straight up dishonest. The mattress is worse than the one we were sleeping on for 15 years. I wake up aching every.single.day. It's like sleeping on cement. The only reason I even gave RC Wiley a 2 star rating is that I've purchased things in their other departments and they've been good. Stay away from the sleep center and iComfort. They are awful and dishonest. read more

We bought a large sectional RC Willey store in Orem. It turned out to be a frustrating and painful experience. Our salesperson was Stefan in furniture. He was very nice, patient, and helpful on the day of the sale but was not our advocate when we started having problems soon after it arrived at the house. A section broke (electrical problem) twice within the first month but beyond the 14 day return policy. We asked to return it but were told that either we could exchange it for something different or pay a restocking fee of 20% ($700). We just wanted to return it but Stefan informed us that he was sorry but this was the policy and would not budge. We consulted with another friend who worked for RC Willey elsewhere who informed us that it was up to the salesperson to be lenient on the returns or not. Our friend ultimately advocated for us through his manager. Even then, Stefan only offered us an exchange option or pay the $700. Finally, our friend had to call him directly and Stefan acquiesced. It was painful and unnecessary. We don't even want to step foot in store again. read more

I have had to talk with Customer service on a few occasions with questions that I have had about purchases. Either time it hasn't been a good experience but this last conversation was the worst. Very unprofessional, and I have not had a customer service rep who actually was trying to start an argument with me on the phone. I have purchased many things from RC Willey in the past but because of the way I was treated and the lack of respect that I was shown I will not do business here again. read more

We have used RC Willey for years and have been mostly happy with what we have purchased. We have been given bad information (when we bought a convection oven and I asked if it was a true European convection and they lied, it wasnt) but I also see now that it is my responsibility to research and know what I am buying and not rely on someone that is just making a living and not always honest. We bought a new leather couch and when it was delivered one leg was chipped and damaged and there was a 1" dent 1/2" deep in the back of the couch. After sitting on it for a week we noticed a major difference in one end of the couches support to the other. Customer service was very helpful and they sent someone out evaluate this and he had them send a new couch. When our new couch arrived it was 'new' unlike our first couch. As soon as we sat on the second delivery it was obvious that the 1st couch was used, either a floor model or a return that was used for a long time. The second couch was very firm, you could tell it had never been sat on or used, unlike the 1st couch we received. I am very happy with how things have been resolved but hate to think we almost didn't request this to be checked, if it hadn't put my husbands back out because of how it tilted at an angle we would have paid a lot of money for a used couch. This is not a cheep couch (which is why we didn't notice the problem right away) and no reputable company should be selling something as new and delivering something that is clearly used when compared to each other. I will still shop RC Willey, selection and convenience along with quality (if it's new) but I highly recommend you more then examine your delivery, be a smart consumer. Protect yourself and be money smart where ever you shop always check everything. I still recommend RC Willey, just be a smart shopper! read more

I was treated like garbage at that store could not get any help for 20 mins. when I did get help the sales guy was acting like he was put out. not only that we told him what we wanted and on delivery day we ended up with the wrong stuff, and a damaged drawer. we was on the phone for almost 2 hours trying to get them to fix the problem. we went through 5 different people and all was being rude and difficult. they would not deliver the right stuff for two weeks and was not able to fix the drawer for about 6 weeks. its a joke of a store and I will not be going back. read more

I cannot even explain how livid I am right now with RC Willey. I have bought quite a few things (as in each time over $1000 purchase) over the years from them, as they are a bigger, more known furniture store in the Utah County area. Usually no issues. However, this time, I am extremely disappointed in every interaction I've had with a live human being. I originally purchased a bedroom set online from them, as it was pretty much just what I was looking for, and on sale. I decided to pay extra and have them deliver it, as it is just easier to not have to ask to borrow a truck, drive said truck, load the set, and so on. BIG MISTAKE (imagine that sentence is underlined). Not only can they not guarantee you a delivery time, they also cannot guarantee you what 3-hr window your delivery will fall into UNTIL THE DAY OF. For my original delivery, it was to be delivered during the day, but since they can only say, "Oh sometime between 8-5pm" I couldn't just anticipate leaving work for a couple of minutes to take care of the delivery. If I could have just known that my 3-hour window would be after 12pm BEFORE the day of, that would have made it a whole lot easier. But no. So I had to reschedule the delivery for the afternoon, and they didn't have anything available until a week later (mind you I have a huge king size mattress just chilling obtrusively in my living room against the wall at this point). The girl that I spoke with on the phone when I called to reschedule, said that the deliveries are done starting at 3pm, and done in a 3-hour window. SHE AT NO TIME SAID THAT THEY DELIVER UNTIL 10-11pm AT NIGHT. She said it could be until 8pm that my delivery would arrive. But again, since I don't have any idea of when they are coming UNTIL THE DAY OF, I had to ask for time off so that I could be there if they happened to delivery at the earliest, which was the 3pm. Now it is the day of and I received an email stating that my delivery would take place between 8:15pm-11:15 at night. How is this in any way helpful to know this the day of?! I am now out 2 hours of pay, to sit around and wait for my furniture to show up sometime after 8pm. I'm not especially certain who RC Willey thinks just waits up all night for deliveries, but people who wake up early in the morning to go to work sure as hell do not. People with children and things to do sure as hell do not. When I called and spoke with a rep, she did not offer any sort of apology or anything. When I called back, I asked to speak with a manager, and was extremely disgusted by the way she handled my call. All she had to say was, "I'm sorry, but that's how we do it. We can't compensate you anything because you are not available for the delivery. Our deliveries are done geographically, and you are near the end." REALLY?! And you are a manager? No empathy what so ever. The ONLY reason I am not canceling this purchase at this point is because I already have a friggin king size mattress that needs a frame to be put in now. I do not have the time to search online for another set that I like just as much, but I can promise that RC Willey will, in no way, get any of my business in the future. PLEASE be wary when purchasing from these guys. Go somewhere else. Other places sell the same if not similar of items, and have MUCH better customer service/delivery practices. read more

From the minute you enter the store and are greeted by a real person to the time you take delivery, this is shopping made easy. I couldn't have been in the appliance department more than 3 minutes before Ed Black asked me if I needed assistance. I love that I didn't have to go find someone, he was right there! We talked about what I wanted and my challenge of finding something that would fit in a very tight space. He asked for exact measurements and when I went in the next day Ed was off for the day but no worries! The staff at RC Willey works as a team and his associate, Earl Spencer was just as knowledgeable and helpful as Ed. It took me another day to make my decision and when I spoke to Ed, he not only price matched a competing offer, but he had it delivered the same day! ( the competition couldn't deliver for 6 days!) Even the delivery team was top notch! They were extremely careful with doors, floors and walls. It just doesn't get any easier! Hopefully I won't need any other appliances for a long time, but I can guarantee you this will be my first stop when I do. read more

I purchased a 5 piece dinning set in October, we paid 1/2 up front and the remaining amount due by November 27th and I was promised delivery by end of November. This never happened. I got my furniture in late February after some complaining and calling the store two to three time a week. The table was good but the chairs that were delivered are wrong. After long complaints we were told we could get a $50.00 credit off of my $1500.00 purchase because they had already delivered the the table. Our salesman Leland Kofford started out good but as the problem proceeded he got worse with no contact and no follow up on our conversations. After talking and expressing my frustration, I was told the chairs I was promised don't exist. So, now i'm stuck with 4 chairs that are literally falling apart they were put together really bad, only half the screws were put in place and the ones that were there keep falling out. Bought a 65" Tv on Monday and was supposed to be delivered on Friday, when I knew I was going to be available. The sales rep went ahead and changed my delivery date to Tuesday without my permission or even telling me, even though I said I would not be available. Anyway, after several phone calls to RCwilley I was able to cancel delivery and arrange for a better delivery date. I was told the delivery driver would call 30 minutes before they delivered. Waited around all night until 9:30 pm and still no one. They finally showed up and they were supposed to do a basic set up of the TV. Well, they came in set the TV down and walked out the door. Which left me with a huge TV to set up by myself since my husband had just had back surgery. I spoke with a manager to tell her the details, and she didn't even care. Thanks RCwilley for following through on you promises. I won't be giving you my business anymore. Stay far, far away. You can get better deals elsewhere and get a whole lot better service. read more

RC Willey is terrible! I am not one to usually write a review for anything, but my experience has been so bad that I feel like I must share my thoughts. I bought a tv from them with their warranty. Sure enough the tv breaks after only 2 1/2 years! So 28 days later without a working tv and several calls to customer service and (3 total) visits from a repair man (which only schedule appointments between 8-5 Mon-Fri. which is really convenient for most people who work 8-5). I had to take off work 3 different times to be home so the repair guy can tell me my tv is broken. REALLY?! After the 3rd visit and replacing everything in the tv they decide it will cost more to fix it than to give me a new tv. RC Willey delivers a new tv, basically drops it off on my door step and leaves! No setting it up, no checking that everything works properly, nothing! I set it up and think I finally have a working tv...it last four months, then has issues! So I make yet another dreaded phone call to their customer service department. Here we go again, they send out a repair man who says the tv is ruined and Sharp will usually just replace it under their warranty. After going several days without hearing from anyone I call RC Willey they say it Sharp's problem and gives me a number to call them!!! I like that now I am suppose to do their job and figure it out. Such good customer service right?! Its been two weeks and we are still looking at a broken tv. Sharp doesn't seem to want to take care of it either, every time I call I get the run around. So, even when you buy one of their crappy warranties your still on your own! They know they are losing money on this sale and DO NOT want to help you get get it resolved or make it right. Bottom line they have horrible customer service and the quality of their products are crap, so do yourself a favor and Do NOT BUY ANYTHING from RC Willey ever! Very Frustrated!
