In total, Greenleaf worked on my project for about 5 hours over the course of those 30 days, and did not complete any of the work for which they were contracted. The pictures attached show how they left the property in complete disrepair. The lone tree they cut down actually fell on my house (because of their incompetence) before they left the remnants in my lawn. All of the handrails for my deck were cut off with a chainsaw, and 1/2 of the planks were unscrewed from the joists. That's where the work stopped. Obviously, the deck is completely unusable now, and is unsafe for the family to walk on. Chad refused to answer my phone calls after taking the check for the deposit. Instead, he occasionally responded to text messages with myriad excuses and lies about how his crew will be at the job site tomorrow or later today. I regret not googling the owner before signing the contract. If I had I would have found official complaints on record at the Better Business Bureau for this exact same behavior.

We were very happy with the results and found Georgia Oak to be very easy to work with, responsive and attentive to detail. Highly recommend. After talking with several other companies that came out to look at our project and then having to chase them for an estimate, we decided to keep looking for a company that would be more responsive and easier to work with. We found Georgia Oak on Angie (previously Angie's List). We did further due diligence by looking at the reviews on Angie, Yelp and Google as well as checking reviews and complaint history on the Better Business Bureau. They seemed to have an impeccable reputation. So, we decided to have them give us an estimate despite being the only company that charged us a small fee for giving an estimate. That charge is deducted off the project cost if you use them. Brandon showed up on time and gave us the estimate right on the spot which was a pleasant surprise. It was also a firm fixed price estimate. We were satisfied with their price and quickly made the decision to proceed. They handled submitting the building permit and the inspections. In our case, we needed a survey and engineering drawings which they also coordinated. The entire process was very smooth. They scheduled our project in a timely manner. Carolina, Candido and the entire crew were a pleasure to work with throughout the process. They were quite flexible to adjust design details along the way without any talk of additional cost. The only additional cost that we paid was when we made the wall a good bit longer than originally planned, which is only reasonable. In summary, Georgia Oak does what they say they are going to do. They show up when they say they will. They do good quality work and are very easy to work with. They coordinated the entire process including permitting, engineering and surveying. I realize that charging for an estimate may deter some folks from using them, but I'm glad that we didn't let that stop us. I have a retaining wall on my personal property that will need replacing soon. Georgia Oak will be my first call.

I am very pleased with the work that was done. Brandon (the owner) is responsive and easy to work with; the work was completed promptly; and the finished wall looks great. The company's quoted price was also very competitive among the four bids that I received. I would definitely hire Georgia Oak again for future projects. This company charges $35 to give an estimate, but the fee was subtracted from the initial deposit when I decided to hire the company. Very highly recommended.

Sorry to say I paid this company for many years and they were happy to keep taking my money while my property deteriorated around me. Now that I finally let them go it is going to take many THOUSANDS of dollars to rehabilitate the yard. Every bush and tree is mismanaged, overgrown, beds falling apart, huge weeds. Should a yard look like this when I have been paying consistently for 8+ years? Owner Jay and his workers never made a single recommendation for upkeep. When I asked to address one area or another they were unresponsive. All they do is mow the (ever shrinking) area of grass in the front of the house and take your money. My current rate is not cheap either at $170/month. I'm so sorry I trusted them. Don't be like me.

I can not recommend to use Kevin Murphy Concrete Driveways. While Kevin was extremely pleasant, and…read moreassured his warranty, he never attempted to address any of the issues with our driveway, and I attempted many times to get him to come out. The driveway was poured in wet weather and the mix of concrete was not great, because it looks like a splotchy, diseased driveway. He assured us this would fade in time (more than a few months), which is not true, as it has been 2 years. This must be his technique to get the customer to forget about the issue until you don't care anymore. There is also a corner of the driveway that has a significant jagged, surface crack - not a crack from a control joint... He never attempted to fix this either - so his warranty is worth absolutely nothing. The absolute worst, though, was the patio he poured below our deck, in which he poured concrete around our existing deck support beams, which ended up causing them to rot. At the time, I did not know this was an issue, but in researching, this should NEVER be done. Now I have to figure out how to replace the wood and cut out some of the existing patio because of a shortcut his company took to do something the absolute wrong way.

He took our measurements for all hardwood upstairs, one guest room downstairs, carpet in basement theater room, and carpet on basement steps. We were moving into a new home and needed floors done immediately. Paul made a few phone calls and came and dropped off the material within a matter of days. This was a pretty big job but Paul and his team not only completed the job on time but the floors were installed perfectly. Paul also called me almost daily to give me an update and check in on progress. Harrison also came by at the end of the project and took some of our extra trash and leftover paint from moving to their dumpster (talk about going above and beyond). Horrible experience. I hired them to remove 4 walls during an entire renovation of my house over 2…read moreyears. My general contractor does it all, but removing load bearing walls so I hired Forsyth Remodeling to just remove the walls. They were more than other contractors but I wanted to make sure it was done properly as this was the ground floor in a 2+ story home. Work began and quickly went downhill. Some walls were not load bearing and Jay told me there was no way to return the $1.3k in wood materials no longer needed and I was stuck with the extra wood!!! Electric lines were cut from outlets and they refused to re connect them without me paying additional. Same thing for the lights. So now there is NO power to the kitchen, entryway, and living room. I had wires hanging from the ceiling, walls and floors uncapped. I texted Jay multiple times halfway through the week, he just kept saying if you want us to do anything with the power you have to pay more. So they have no problem cutting the lines. They just refuse to Reconnect them The contract stated that drywall was to be put up at the end and I kept questioning him how they could put drywall up with unattached wires going everywhere. He just kept telling me I have to pay for an electrician. By Friday the workers were using cell phone lights to work by. Nobody stopped by to check on the workers work or the progress. Nobody talked to me, even though I was raising serious issues in the middle of the week. By Friday I was living in a completely dark house with lights, not switched up. Drywall hanging and damaged from them taking down the walls and still no explanation or timeline on when drywall would go up or how in the world could they drywall around opened unconnected wires. I told Jay that the pictures and story would not look good on a review and he said that he did not care and to go right ahead. Eventually, I talk to the owner of the company. He explained that drywall should never have been included as you cannot drywall around unconnected wires. He also agreed that yes walls should have been checked before buying product. That is non-returnable and did refund me the unused wood, and they took it back, I guess for another project. He also finally on Friday sent the electrician to spend an hour or two tentatively reconnecting wires to be able to have power and lights for the weekend. He also agreed that my Contractor should have been coming in during the week to do the wiring so they could have done the drywall, however, Jay explicitly told me that under no circumstances could I have other vendors like my Contractor here working while they were here which I abide by. This *Now leaves us multiple days behind schedule and trying to juggle other vendors. It's really hard to describe the amount of stress and dysfunction going on in an already chaotic stressful situation. I was refunded for work not done and the materials not used. I was not given a discount for the incredible cluster fluff that this turned into. The lack of communication and refusal to even come out to see what the issues were created an absolute worst case scenario. The workers did a decent job on the work that they did however such a lack of common sense when writing a quote, and severe lack of management and common sense of seeing the issues that were happening and refusing to listen to me or come out and address the issues left this a nightmare. I have spiderwebs of wires everywhere and struggling on a Friday afternoon to try and reset and find drywaller's for next week before the painters are supposed to come. they to charge me to hook up a wire, but didn't offer a refund for the damage that they caused to other drywall areas. Better customer service would have been to do what they did and the small amount that was still owed written off for a decent customer service, the sleepless nights, the thermostat not working, the power not working, having to eat out because there's no way to cook food, no lights in the house at night, ect.
