Unprofessional experience. I emailed them about setting up an apt. Over email we agreed on 10am 3/27 (Wednesday). A day or two someone called me and said the 10am slot was already booked and wanted me to reschedule, they proposed 11am same day. I agreed as my morning was open. No one showed! No one called! No one even emailed! I live not even a mile away from them! This is not how you do business. If you can't get an apt right, show up, or even communicate what does that tell me about how you run your company and work. Just unprofessional and I can't believe no one called. This is your business, customer service and you absolutely failed! I really had high hopes for them. I hope this doesn't happen to you if you decide to contact them. We first used POPS about 12 years ago - we needed a full overhaul of our backyard and some solution to a drainage issue in the back yard. I was and continue to be amazed by Dave. He is truly an artist - walks the yard, sketches a plan, creates a quote, and the final product is exactly what he sketched out. He knows plants, but he also learns what works and doesn't work well with the client. We used him again a few years ago to pop up some landscaping in the back yard, and create something around our mailbox. We recently downsized and he has done the same thing for us here - full design of back and front yards. They are worth EVERY BIT of what they charge. Save your money, do it right. Over 12 years, we lost maybe 2 plants. Otherwise it grew beautifully. read more

We contacted Pops in the spring of 2018 to help us overhaul the landscaping in the front of our house. Scott came out to kick around some ideas and really listened to the style we had in mind along with some problems we were trying to resolve (water drainage). He had some ideas put together about a week later and was quick to respond when I had some questions on the plants being suggested and he even threw in some ideas I had to boot. We had a few weather delays but that is to be expected in this kind of business down here. His crew was incredibly polite, professional, always on time and worked hard to get the project done on time and on budget. Scott has even swung by a few times to proactively check if plants have thrived or need to be replaced. We've been very happy with both the landscaping, lighting, and drainage they've installed a would recommend them wholeheartedly. read more

From agreement to installation was done pretty quick. We replanted our front and back yard. The reasons for 3 stars being no after job services. There were one plant short, the foreman guaranteed he'd be back to plant it very soon and asked for a full payment. after texting and email 3 month later he came back and planted a little one that does not match the other plants in the group. Also not being aware of the deers.. some Plants and flowers got eaten by deers cause hundreds of dolors lost. read more

We called POPs to do a fairly small project, filling in an old goldfish pond with dirt sufficient for a vegetable garden. It was about 10 cubic yards of dirt to place in the hole. Everything went fine in getting someone out there to give us a quote and even following up with one question on the quote. After that, no one ever responded once, nor followed up on our many phone calls. Finally, I wrote back saying to please just let us know if they have decided not to take on our project, as we were told upfront by many other companies that the job was simply too small and they did not have time. I received nothing back. I respected the other companies telling me upfront they would not take on this job, rather than pretending they would do it like POPs. This business lacks the professional wisdom of telling a customer upfront, they cannot do a job. Do not recommend. read more

I guess these guys are too good for me. I asked for a quote to install a stone patio with a fire pit, some stone stair treads, improve a drainage problem, and add plants and trees in my backyard. Scott came out and measured, took photos, and promised a quote within 3-4 days. He then sent photos of fire pit styles, asking which we liked. I chose one on reply. That was 4 weeks ago and I have yet to hear from them again. Called last week just to verify that they knew I was still interested, was told he would call next day. They came out and provided an estimate to me for work. I told them to go ahead and schedule the work, which they did. They didn't show up. So I called back and rescheduled. They canceled. So I called back and rescheduled. They didn't show up. So I emailed them. 8 times over the course of 3 months and they did not respond. I also called and left messages that were ignored. Apparently, they just wanted me to go away. This is their practice. They don't reply, don't return calls. Thank God I didn't give them any money. Stay away from this company. read more

We bought an 8 year old house this summer that needed some updating in the Landscaping as well as some attention to some water flow issues in the back yard. I decided to have stairs built in the area that was washed out so we could exit the basement and get to the main patio area off the back of the house easier. I consulted with a stone mason / landscaper and received an estimate from him before calling Pop's. When Dave the owner of Pop's came out I showed him the previous companies plans. He immediately showed me the the erosion and the water flow issues that were present in the yard. He informed me that without addressing the water flow issues anything I do will only be washed away. Dave showed me exactly what his plan was and then drew a scale rendering of what it would look like when done. He emailed me the drawing and a very detailed, itemized invoice with a link to a guide for learning and picking the right flowers if I wanted to change what he suggested. I hired Pop's and they started the job immediately and worked each day until it was complete. Pop's worked for four days straight until the job was done. I was so impressed with the work I had them rip out the Landscaping in all the beds, install a flagstone border and all new plants and shrubs. The entire job from initial communication, estimates, work and job completion was done with the utmost professionalism and care for my property. I have one more spring landscape project for the spring time and I've already informed Dave that I wanted Pop's to do the work! I wouldn't use anyone but Pop's for all my landscape needs. read more

To follow up on my previous review, I sent an email last week to POPs to discuss an existing issue that was pointed out on the first walk through regarding a soggy back yard. POPs has not had the common courtesy to get in touch with me. All I was trying to do was to find out where the irrigation pipes were laid. After spending $3000 to correct their leaky irrigation system, I now have a dry back yard. Thank you TerraCare Landscaping! Dave Gatti can sell a job but the entire company, including Dave, drop off when they are done. Job started in April and as of August 3rd remsins incomplete. We have drainage issues and so do two of our friends. And none of us can get them to come back. Do not hire them, you will be disappointed. read more

We didn't even get to the point of having a job done by this company because Dave kept canceling our appointments last minute or after the appointment was scheduled to begin. Not only did he cancel, but he didn't have the courtesy to call me himself but instead had his secretary call and inform me that he just wouldn't be showing up. Extremely unprofessional and rude, especially after I made it clear that I had shifted my work schedule specifically for these appointments.
