Used for 2024 season - all went fine, and again through 5/5/25. Always paid in timely fashion. On 4/10/25 was charged a cc fee even though I paid via ACH. She said she would credit the account. On 4/29 received text for mowing. Never happened and didn't receive a delay notification. On 5/5 they mowed. 5/6, I questioned the cc fee again when paying directly via bank via ACH bank account. Previous month fee credit was never applied as well. This time I didn't pay the added fee. Received 3 PAST DUE invoices the next 3 days... for the $2.50 fee. Then they stopped communicating and stopped servicing my yard. Bad business. read more

We're very happy with the service we receive. Joi is always friendly and respectful of our property. I appreciate the 'heads-up' text I receive to let me know when to expect service or when something comes up and service will be later than planned and/or need to be delayed/rescheduled due to weather. Poor lawn care. Joi cuts grass only and a poor job at best. She did not know how to maintain shrubbery (trim/shape). Grass cuttings from her riding mower is thrown behind shrubbery, which she does not cleanup or remove with a blower after cutting grass. She took my lawn from Best to worst. I'm 72 yo and because if my experience with her , I've gone in You Tube and learned how to maintain my lawn professionally. Lawn care is not what I wanted to do at my age, but after Joi I was couldn't take a chance on anyone else. Before Joi I had another person for 15 yrs, that did an excellent job in maintaining my lawn. I thought with Joi seeing what was done when she took over, she could continue with that excellence. Straight forward initial contact. However, after they looked at the job request the communication went cold. I was unsure if it was simply them not getting my responses versus if they were unable or no longer interested in doing the job. Yelp provides a quick button to state "that you are no longer able to provide the services" if that were the case. But they never did that. No communication ensued after 2 emails. I will keep the yelp community updated if any new developments occur and I welcome Joi and David who (listed owners of this company) to reach out to me if there were any communication errors on my part. Joi and Sprucing Up Georgia just finished a lawn cleanup job for our home in Smyrna. I reached out after reading reviews like the one I'm leaving on Yelp, and Joi got back to me within 24 hours with an approximate quote for the work. She came out the next week and did wonders for our yard. She trimmed hedges and bushes, picked up some of the brush on the side of our house, picked countless weeds, edged the yard and blew off the yard and driveway. Our yard looks so much better! Sprucing Up GA is really a one-stop-shop, and I look forward to using them for other projects we've been wanting to get done like pressure washing. I highly discourage anyone from using this service. The woman who returned my call was extremely rude. I attempted to schedule an appointment to quote a massive clean up, redesign, and recurring maintenance landscaping project. This woman simply refused to do so. She only wanted to "ballpark" the charges without actually visiting the property. The woman repeatedly raised her voice when I balked at the idea of someone showing up to complete work which hasn't been quoted. I found their process highly irregular and communication extremely unprofessional. Luckily there are MANY other providers to choose from within the immediate area. read more

I'm so pleased with the wonderful job the owners did with my yard, that I finally signed up for a Yelp account (after 5 years of using the site) just so I could leave this review. I was actually embarrassed to hire someone to clean out my yard because the space is so small (I live in a townhome with a tiny backyard). However, the owners promptly returned my phonecall and assured me that no job was too small. David arrived for our appointment on time and spent a couple of hours removing all of the many dead leaves and debris that had accumulated this winter. He trimmed back the overgrown ivy on my fence, laid down brand new mulch and even hauled away my Christmas tree! I couldn't be happier with the finished product and pricing was very reasonable. I was initially hesitant to go with a "smaller" company. I do try to support local business when I can and read reviews similar to the one I am about to leave. Sprucing up GA are professionals, they are flexible, personable, and a reliable hard working team. They were very fast in initial call back and Joi even came by on a Sunday afternoon to look at my space (contemporary house on a hill and corner lot). Due to some weather related issues, my appointment was moved back a few days. This was fine because I had told Joi that I was flexible about what day they came for service. Today they came and worked their tails off. No joke. Hats off to them. My disaster of leaves, weeds, mini bushes, hedges, edging, and large limb collection/removal happened through some major hard work.
