This is not my bank, but my review is based on my experience when selling a car to one of their customers. I was selling some of our cars and ended up selling one to a gentleman that uses RBFCU. After agreeing on a price, he asked me to go to his bank with him to complete all the paperwork, and he would get me a cashiers check. When driving up, I found they had excellent parking right at the front door. I parked and walked inside and was immediately greeted by an employee. She asked how she could help us, and then directed us to the right person. We were 3rd in line, but the line moved quickly. After I completed my part of the transaction, I went and took a seat so the buyer would have some privacy. That took about 15 minutes, so I waited and then finished our transaction. Will I return? Like all service businesses today, they try to get by with as few employees as possible. That being said, they did everything we needed in a personable way. If needed, I will return. read more

99.999999% of the time they are short staffed. Went through the drive thru lane only to sit for about 30 min. Would use the ATM but 99.999999% of the time it's not accepting deposits. ATM is super outdated. Can never do more than one transaction without having to take card out and re insert. Will definitely be canceling my membership and heading over to BOA!!! read more

Foreign check was sent to the wrong department for processing. It was finally processed 17 DAYS LATER!! Now we're told that it probably won't be deposited for another 8+ weeks into his account! They sent it to Western Union to collect the funds.....REALLY?! He deposited these checks for the past three years and the funds were available in a few days! This is not acceptable!! Whom ever is responsible for this mess should be fired!! UPDATE: Just received a kind and courteous call from rep. They are going above and beyond to help us!! I suspect that those who have written negative reviews of RBFCU/ Bulverde are really at the heart of their own issues. This Credit Union bends over backwards to assist their customers and everyone is friendly and professional. If you're going to switch banks, I highly recommend this one. read more

The staff here bring charm and a down home feel back to banking and are a credit to RBFCU.

RBFCU Estate dept--Requested fax, I sent fax. They called to acknowledge receipt of the fax. When I called for follow-up, they said they never received fax, and I should fax it again, this time to a different number. They do call and email, but one rep doesn't know what the other rep is doing. They should work together, so I don't have to send full copies of all files to every person that touches my file. read more

I called 30 minutes before they closed. A customer service representative answered, and when I told him my request, he said he was going to transfer me over to someone else. Instead of transferring me, or helping me with my problem, he sent me through the entire process again of enter my account number, and remain on the line. A little after 5 o clock, no one answered my call, and someone just hung up on me. Now, my business is not taken care of, and I am frustrated. read more

People are super nice. Service is extremely slow, I had to tell the teller to just send me back my stuff after waiting 10min bc I had to be at work. I don't know if they're understaffed or what but that needs to be taken care of! Other than that it's good!! read more

All of the staff at this branch are super helpful and attentive! What more could one ask for? They are more than accommodating and all deserve a pat on the back! They make banking absolutely painless and quite frankly I look forward to going in and taking care of business with them! Small town bank that's worse than a big one. The video confrencing for loans is ridiculous, really?! This is just a baby step above talking to someone on the phone.  Multiple times having to repeat numbers and answer questions we already answered before. Switching offices due to bad equipment, having to trouble shoot their scanner, and two hours on hold while the person on the other side does whatever. If you don't have the staff to do loans then don't do them!  The loan process itself is like pulling teeth, the person buying our car didn't realize he had to have the TTL money upfront and RBFCU didn't tell him when he applied for the loan, then they canceled the loan because he didn't live in TX. How did you not know this by this point!!!! Why does it seem like no one here has ever done a car loan before? Anything that could have been done before was put off until signing. Filling in information from the NADA guide , TTL information, why were y'all so unprepared? I miss my credit union...this one is the pits. read more
