Tobias was the last person I saw for what was supposed to be a last downsize before I'm set until they heal, but they recommended I stick with the current post. So I actually didn't have to have anything else done. Now, I'm just waiting for my helixes to heal! Here are some more information that may help you determine if Brilliance Piercing is the studio for your piercing needs: they require appointments for any type of service (no drop-ins/walk-ins); they only work with jewelry they have for sale (I believe this is to ensure that the quality of the jewelry is top-notch and they know exactly the metal content - optimal healing conditions); when you have an appointment, you can't bring anyone with you; their jewelry are quite pricey, but not much more than other studios around. Their team is always upbeat, friendly, patient and knowledgeable: they will answer any question you may have and also always ensure you are aware of anything important regarding your piercing after care, etc. They have a wide selection of jewelry appropriate for whatever piercing you're getting! For context, I've had ear piercings, navel, and tongue and all others were a quick and relatively painless experience with no complications. When I got my tragus, it was a nightmare the entire time. The shop was clean and everyone was nice. The initial piercing went smooth and the pierced went to go thread the jewelry through. They lost the connection between the needle and jewelry and began to dig around in my ear for the hole. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and a high tolerance for mistakes in the workplace. We're all human. But the piercer continued to fiddle until the friend accompanying me said something because I had tears rolling down my face. He decided to re-pierce the hole since he couldn't find it. At this point my ear is pounding and already inflamed, but I was already there so I said go for it. It was super painful. But we got the ring through and left. Vowing never to come back. The tragus didn't heal great. It was very slow and developed a bump at the puncture site. I won't blame this on the piercer, since it could have been a number of things. But the area was very traumatized and I haven't had any issues healing in the past. Overall, I wouldn't recommend anyone to get pierced here and surely won't be back myself. The tragus eventually did heal and it looks good now. The placement was good and the piercer was nice, which is why I gave this experience 2 stars instead of 1.

Communicated with the piercer for awhile before finally coming in with my girlfriend to get it done. It was very quick and as painless as getting that area pierced can be I imagine, and the atmosphere was chill and the price I paid for the piercing wasn't atrociously expensive (I have 8 piercings and they have ranged from fairly cheap to obscene in pricing). I came in for a double helix piercing which is more complicated than I thought. How hard can it be…read moreto punch two holes in my ear? Thankfully I had Scott as my piercer who explained that aligning two piercings facing the same direction on my 3D potato-chip surface of an ear takes real skill, care, and consideration. Thankfully Scott had all of these, and I'm really grateful to have stumbled upon this shop. Scott was exceptional in explaining the whole process and prepared me well for the big ouch and the aftercare. I really worried about the healing process because of various reddit posters, however the magic spray (hypochlorous acid + saline) he sent me home with has made the recovery a breeze. I've had the piercing for a week, and I forgot it was there after the first 36 hours. No inflammation or any signs of irritation. I'm only going to Scott for any future work. The only con of coming to Scott is that you'll want more piercings because he does such a good job and made the recovery so easy. He's also a cool and courteous dude. 10/10
