Nathan also understood that I was reluctant to spend money for a service visit/repair that could exponentially exceed the value of this 20+ year old refrigerator. As a result, he provided me with several troubleshooting tips that I performed to help narrow down the root cause of the issue. I was able to check these things the same evening and share updates with Nathan via text. Once again, he responded promptly (after hours), and determined that repairing this refrigerant leak was going to be expensive. I credit Nathan with saving me a lot of money to repair an old refrigerator and, at the very least, money saved for a service visit which would've resulted in the same answer. The technician answering the telephone was very pleasant. He gave me a choice of times. The initial time was later that same day I called! Another time was given in the event that the technician was unable to make the timeframe I first chose. The technician then later called to ask if he could come early!!! YES! He came out, explained thoroughly what the code mean and what he felt the issue was and fixed it immediately. He also explained another issue the code could mean but thought that it was only the fan issue and not a coolant issue. So he fixed it quickly and ensured I knew to call him should the issue reappear. I was very pleased with the honesty and integrity of the men in this company. They chose to do their business in honesty, not overcharging for service not necessary. Because I am an older woman, many companies seem to try to take advantage and overcharge. NOT THIS COMPANY!!! CALL THEM! I now have a fully functioning refrigerator that has been going strong. The whole cost was less than $100. The technician even gave me information on what to ask for at Home Depot/Lowes to fix the issue of re-hooking up the water line after the water line was moved during a downstairs complete remodel.

So he comes and charges $99. And it would go towards the repair if decided to move forward. He comes and takes about 5-10 minutes and tells me it is the igniter and it would be $347. for total. I already had done my research and know that the part is $35 and I could pickup from a local appliance part store in Montgomery County. Or order directly from Whirlpool for under $50. So when I asked him how much is the part, He said $149. Then I asked him if he had the igniter already or would he have to order it? He said he's prepared & has it in his box. I had then asked him to see what it looked like. That's when he tells me " I cannot show that to you, I have already told you too much information about it." That's when I put an end to it. I will not put up with shady business people, businesses allowing this. I paid the $99. As first agreed and told him to get out of my house. He is an older man that needs to realize that people ( no matter the gender or race of their clients, potential and now-Never). Do not assume that the general public do not research before they reach out to you from online!!!!! The only good thing I will add: The early on communicating about eta arrival. That is the only thing he was good about. And he used my paper towel on the counter, and left the dirty used ones on my counter. The nerve! I would have NO stars, if allowed. He was efficient and did the job in only two hours repairing my washer so it no longer leaks water out front door; repaired my dryer so it gets hot to dry clothes. I highly recommend Doctor Appliance. (Samsung upright washer and dryer).
