The service call came because my LG refrigerator was shutting off and showing an error code. I…read morehad to unplug and replug the refrigerator to reset to keep some semblance of cold inside. The technician answering the telephone was very pleasant. He gave me a choice of times. The initial time was later that same day I called! Another time was given in the event that the technician was unable to make the timeframe I first chose. The technician then later called to ask if he could come early!!! YES! He came out, explained thoroughly what the code mean and what he felt the issue was and fixed it immediately. He also explained another issue the code could mean but thought that it was only the fan issue and not a coolant issue. So he fixed it quickly and ensured I knew to call him should the issue reappear. I was very pleased with the honesty and integrity of the men in this company. They chose to do their business in honesty, not overcharging for service not necessary. Because I am an older woman, many companies seem to try to take advantage and overcharge. NOT THIS COMPANY!!! CALL THEM! I now have a fully functioning refrigerator that has been going strong. The whole cost was less than $100. The technician even gave me information on what to ask for at Home Depot/Lowes to fix the issue of re-hooking up the water line after the water line was moved during a downstairs complete remodel.

He came another day on time and fixed it. I am glad I came across him and will keep asking him for any appliance issues.

Found this repair shop using a Google search to find someone close to my office. My flatscreen tv…read morehad stopped turning on and needed a new power supply. The owner/technician fixed my tv without issue, so I was appreciative of that. The repair time took 4 days and my tv now works perfectly fine. But the guy's attitude was awful. He was arrogant and rude every time we spoke, from beginning to end (the guy's name is Jeff). When I first tried to explain what was wrong, that the issue was the power supply, he brushed me off. "I've been doing this for over 20 years. I'll tell you what's wrong with it after the diagnosis." Fine. I had researched it online to see if my issue was part of a recall, but maybe I'm wrong. Do your diagnosis. I had dropped it off on a Tuesday morning and was told it could take 3-5 days pending if they need to order parts. I called on Thursday morning to check in and see if I could get an ETA. Was the problem what I thought it was? Did you need to order parts? Instead, before I could barely get a word in, he says, "I told you it could take up to a week. You don't need to call. There are other people ahead of you. I haven't even looked at your tv yet." Awesome, right? Two days in and he hasn't even looked at it yet? I wanted to take my tv back and gladly pay more elsewhere so I could be treated better. But it sucks being without a tv and didn't want to delay the repairs by starting over with someone new, so I rode it out. Then, magically, he calls me the very next day. "Your tv is ready to be picked up." What was wrong with it? "It needed a new power supply." So I was right? "Your tv is ready to be picked up." That's all he would say. The cost of the repair was a ripoff. Early on he said the diagnosis fee was $53, which would be credited toward my final bill. Sounds fair enough. He also said if the total cost of the repair exceeds $175, they'll call me for authorization to proceed first. If it's less than $175, they'll proceed with the repairs automatically. Also fair enough, since it's reasonable to want to judge how much is too much before considering buying a new tv. Setting $175 as a benchmark sounded about right. My final bill? It was $43.92 for the parts and with another stroke of magic, without any itemization showing exactly how much time was needed or what his hourly rate was, the labor cost happened to be $125. That takes my total to $169 - just a few dollars shy of that $175 mark. Pretty convenient, eh? With tax, my final bill was $179. Don't take your tv to this guy. Other repair shops will charge a flat diagnosis fee that won't be credited towards your final bill (I was given quotes ranging from $42 to $55 when I first started calling around). Do yourself a favor and take that deal, because I'd be willing to bet your actual repair cost will be calculated more honestly and your total bill will probably be less than what I paid. Plus, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you didn't support a jackass. And that's pretty valuable.

Intrepid TV Repair owner came to my house to repair my 50-inch plasma TV. My TV had lost picture…read morebut had sound. I paid him $132.50, be deducted from the final amount once the TV was repaired. He couldn't find anything causing my problem and took it to his repair shop. He had asked if I wanted new or used parts. I told him new parts. He gave me a paper with an estimate of $450 for repairs, without knowing what the problem was. I informed him this estimate was unacceptable; I would rather buy a new set instead. He claimed it was just a top-end estimate. Over the next 2 1/2 weeks, he said he located the problem but twice the replacement parts he ordered had blown fuses. Then he admitted these were used and NOT new parts. He also said that the total cost of repairing it would come to around $470, with tax.. No way. He returned the TV. After the owner returned the plasma set to me, I had it checked out by another repairman a month later. It was then I discovered that the owner, before returning the set to me, had broken the ribbon cable that goes from one board to the screen itself. This action destroyed the plasma screen and made the set unrepairable. Hire this person at your own risk.
