I very quickly realized that his advice came from decades of running a family business. This man was solving all of my problems remotely because his intention was to give good service for a party he would not attend. The food was ready for pickup on time and the guests loved it. Saul provided us with everything we needed for service. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent with multiple follow ups while I was busy organizing an event. Again, kudos for guiding me through this process and removing stress from my plate. I also loved meeting his family. Both of his sons were extremely polite and thoughtful. I hosted a 40th Birthday Party for my husband and surprised him with sushi prepared by chefs in our home -- Ray's Catering could not have done a more perfect job. The party was for about 40 people and Ray and Steven showed up early to set up and prepare all the food ahead of the guests' arrival. Ray is extremely professional and courteous and accommodated all my requests. When there was some confusion about the agreed upon menu, they were quick to improvise and come up with a solution. And now about the food! Amazing quality and beautiful presentation. We consider ourselves sushi "snobs" and were somewhat skeptical about having it made at home but Ray provided delicious, high quality, and beautifully prepared nigiri and many special rolls. Our guests were truly blown away with how fresh and good everything was. The shrimp tempura was also excellent. They also stayed as long as people were continuing to eat, cleaned up our kitchen and left it in the condition they found it. Very much appreciated. Hiring Ray's Catering made our party a huge success. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend. read more

Ray offers unique chef skills! My roommate and I hired him for an event this holiday season. Ray was up as early as 5 am to gather the freshest ingredients from various local vendors! He was professional in his mannerisms as well as product/presentation. Everything was made from scratch! I can't recall the dishes he made, mostly because they were unique. There was plenty of sashimi, which I love! He cleaned up quickly and brought his own chef tools of course! It was a last minute event and I was pleased with the food, as well as his conduct. They will help you coordinate and plan the event so you know you are in good hands of professionals. Their chef personally pick the best ingredients, and the dishes are so creative and delicious. It was served with salad, chicken fried rice, edamame and veggies. Plenty of food and so delicious! The company sent 3 employees. 2 chefs and 1 helper. They were so friendly and attentive. They set up quickly, the presentation looked wonderful, and all the guests had a really good time. I was nervous as I chose this company from looking online and didn't know anyone who had personally used them. I placed a $200 deposit and then they sent me a form to add in the details of the event, with final details (head count, allergies, etc.) due 10 days in advance. I never heard from them so I just sent it in. Which they acknowledged receiving. And then full payment is due 3 days before the event. Never heard from them. Two days before the event I had to reach out and ask for the invoice, which they promptly sent. I was nervous with the lack of communication although they always responded if I reached out. But they showed up early, surveyed the space in the backyard and figured out the table set up within the space available. One of the chefs did a lot of entertaining while cooking, where we noticed the second chef on the other grill didn't do as much. The helper was fantastic but I can see how the experience varies depending on the chef. The clean up was fast and thorough. There was zero clean up for us to do. We had a great experience and will absolutely use them again for special celebrations.
