I can't say enough great things about Estrada's Catering!!! If you are searching for a taco bar…read morecaterer for your next event, look no further....seriously. Estrada's Catering was referred to me by some friends of mine, as I was looking for a taco bar for my football party. I was on the fence because everything I saw online was super expensive and everyone I found seemed to prefer huge parties/events/weddings/etc. My party wasn't "huge", but I had a good number of friends and family coming over to my house for a pseudo 'housewarming' party and to watch the USC/UCLA game. I called Jerry and luckily, he was available and quoted me a very reasonable price, which included 3 different meats, salsa, onions, cilantro, radishes, rice and beans, plates/utensils, and even a special 'extra' that I'll leave a secret =) The day of the event couldn't have gone more smoothly. Jerry and his wife Nidia arrived on time and all they needed was a table and for me to show them where to set up. The fact that they were self-sufficient was HUGE since I was running around playing hostess to my guests. They set up all on their own, cooked the food fresh, and were overly prepared to feed my guests. Jerry and Nidia were very professional and respectful, and my guests had SO many compliments about their food. I can also attest that the tacos were DELISH!! Jerry and Nidia stayed a good while and packaged and left me all the extra food....seriously food to last for DAYS!! They were tidy, efficient, and as I said before, professional....I was really impressed! It was so very nice knowing that the main course was being handled and I didn't have to worry about it. If you are in the hunt for a great taco bar caterer, do yourself a favor and give them a call. Hopefully I don't have them booked again for when you need them (because we WILL be hiring them again!)!! ;) Thanks Estrada's for the great food and experience!!

I was able to enjoy Orale Mojo at Evans Brewing Co in Corona…read more I was hungry and ordered 8 tacos for myself. I got 2 pastor, 2 carne asada, 2 pork belly, 1 pollo and 1 longaniza chorizo. Everything was awesome, but the pork belly tacos really stood out. The meat was super tender and was nice and smokey. The pollo tacos had nice chunks of tasty grilled chicken which I preferred over places that use shredded chicken. Asada, pastor and chorizo were all great too, the pork belly and pollo were just that much more awesome. All tacos came with plenty of cilantro and onion...pork belly had cabbage. Radishes and cucumber were also served with the tacos. My wife got some mulitas and thought they were some of the best she has had. She had pork belly and asada. Orale Mojo had 4 different salsas, a hot red salsa, a mild green salsa, a mild crème sauce and an avocado sauce. All 4 of these were delicious, and the hot salsa was actually hot and had a nice flavor. Mixing the hot and the crème worked well on the pastor taco. From looking at Orale Mojo's social media it seems that they post up at a number of local breweries. If you are a fan of tacos and craft beer I would recommend checking their schedule and finding them for a night of tacos and beer. I think the pork belly tacos alone are worth the drive. These are tacos that I'm going to make sure I have again

I recently threw a birthday party for my two daughters and booked J&J Tacos. I found J&J through a…read morecommunity Facebook page to which they had decent reviews. I contacted J&J about a month in advance to reserve their services. I signed the contract J&J sent me and kept in contact with John. Five days before the party, I informed John we were having 82 people. I asked how he would like me to get the deposit to him. He said he'd just collect all the money the day of the party and to "promise not to cancel" on him. I assured him I wouldn't...bad karma and too big a party to mess around. He was supposed to show up at 3 to start cooking and serve at 4 (guests were to arrive at 3:30). At 3:20 he still had not arrived so I began trying to get ahold of him. After many failed attempts, I decided to order pizza just after 4pm. Because of J&J not showing up, everybody ate much later than planned which interfered with the remaining planned events. I finally heard from John at 12:20am. He said he had a family emergency and, with everything going on, he forgot he had a gig at my house. Although he apologized, I find it inexcusable not to at least notify me. A serious business person takes their work seriously and sets alarms and reminders if need be. With all the meats, beans, rice, quesadillas, and fixin's laying around waiting for a party, how could he forget? This was the first time I depended on someone else to cook for our parties so that I could sit back and actually enjoy my kids and guests. Yeah, that idea backfired. Thank you, J&J Tacos and Catering.

I'm currently on a mission to try as many taco trucks as possible around Arcadia/Monrovia/Duarte and when I came to try Mariana's out, I felt like their carne asada tacos were okay and nothing significant to write home about. But their quesabirria tacos are SO GOOD and just might be some of the best--if not, THEE best. Their quesabirria tacos had just the right amount of cheese and flavoring. They didn't come with consommé (the broth) that sometimes comes with them at other places but, trust me when I say that they didn't need any. They were SO flavorful themselves. I also wasn't too fond of their green salsa, but I've also had worse. I wish they offered the avocado-smooth green salsa. I think that would have been better than the salsa verde they offer--it probably would have made the regular asada tacos better. BUT with SUPER friendly service you MUST come here for their quesabirria tacos. I also came back a week later and saw that they make their own tortillas too! You can literally watch them make it from one of the windows. So cool!
