They do not answer their phones and their policy says you must talk to the office for a cancellation. I called several days with no ability to speak with anyone. We did however book our tubing trip for the correct day. When we arrived we tried kindly explaining to the woman our situation. She was immediately combative and argumentative. She immediately went in defense mode. It was incredibly unprofessional and abrasive. We understand we made a mistake however we didn't deserve to be treated that way. Naturally we firmly and persistently argued back as we were approached in such a manner. Ultimately she did end up refunding us (allegedly - we did not receive it yet. But did get confirmation email we were refunded) but it was after a long awkward argument for really no reason. If the woman at the front office was polite from the get go we would have had a much better experience. The gentlemen who ran the tubing, said his name was Kim. He was very kind and professional. I would give this place another go because of his efforts in trying to make the situation more comfortable.

Check-In Process The woman working the front desk (I believe her name was Cali) was kind and did her best to help us. This review is not about her. The check-in system, however, was incredibly inefficient. Every camper had to come to the desk individually, Cali had to look up their waiver, and they then had to have their name written down by hand. Checking in our group of 50 campers took approximately 35-40 minutes. As a camp, we take trips to many local attractions that require waivers, and we've never had a check-in process take more than about 10 minutes. This system felt unnecessarily slow and completely unprepared for groups. 2. Communication Before our visit, we clearly communicated that we needed to leave by 2:30 p.m. to return to camp for dismissal and that we were looking for roughly a 1.5-hour boat ride. After finally checking in, we were put on a shuttle bus for nearly 20 minutes. During the ride, I asked the driver how long the boat trip would be back to our starting point. She told us it was a three-hour trip. At that point, it was obvious there was no way we'd make it back in time. We had to turn around, ride the bus back, wait while boats were rearranged, and then be transported to another launch point. In total, we arrived around 1:10 p.m. but didn't get onto the water until approximately 3:30 p.m.--over two hours spent waiting with 50 campers in 90-degree heat. We ultimately had to notify parents that camp dismissal would be delayed by about an hour. 3. Customer Service This section is directed specifically at the owner, Andy. The employees we interacted with--the front desk staff, the people helping with the boats, and the bus driver--were all friendly and helpful. They were not the problem. After explaining what had happened, we respectfully requested a 50% refund on our $500+ reservation since a large portion of our day had been spent waiting because of issues that were outside of our control. Rather than showing any understanding or attempting to work with us, Andy was hostile and dismissive. Judging by other reviews mentioning similar interactions, this unfortunately does not appear to be an isolated incident. Overall The boating itself was fun, and the campers enjoyed the time they actually spent on the water. Unfortunately, everything surrounding that experience overshadowed it. Between the inefficient check-in process, the poor communication about scheduling, and the owner's response when we raised legitimate concerns, this ended up being the worst field trip we've had in over five years of running our camp. I would not recommend this location for large groups, and we will not be returning.

We visited Morgan's yesterday for the second time this summer. It's a great meeting spot for friends that live in Cincinnati and Indianapolis. Our first visit was on a Thursday and the second was on a Sunday. There was a big difference in the amount of people when going during the week versus the weekend. I would highly suggest a weekday visit if you would prefer less people. After a brief safety talk, you grab a life vest, paddle, and boat and you are off! We did kayaking on both of our visits, but saw a lot of people out on canoes and rafts. It is about a 7 mile trip and both times it took us about 3 hours doing a relaxing trip down the river with minimal paddling and a lot of floating. We packed a picnic lunch and pulled our kayaks out on a shady spot and ate lunch. This is not a technically different kayaking route. There are a few sections that are rocky, have some tiny rapids, or tree roots that you need to navigate, but all in all, it is a beginner level trip perfect for the novice and fun for all. The equipment is good, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The price is also good for a budget activity ~$30 per person! Let's talk about COVID-19 precautions: Morgan's takes this seriously! They are by reservation only and have designated checkin times. For our weekend checkin when it was busy, a man greeted us when walked up and directed us to an empty table to fill out our group's waiver. Once done, we took to a table with one staff member to checkin. All of this was outside. During the week, this was done in the building, but we were the only group. There are social distance markers on the ground, limit to 3 people per the changing room/restroom, social distance on the bus to bring you back, and all staff wore masks. Roots sporting goods, they tried to carry everything, the staff was overrun and id not know what they are doing. Even I could tell. Earth Adventures only does a few things; one of their newest classes that is offered is an emergency preparedness class. This is better than what the Red Cross-offers. Can you pick up one bag, and walk out the front door, for three days? Then have a second bag for seven days? I could just get in my van and drive off.

Here's what they offer: Kayak and Canoe Rentals: They've mapped out and provide maps for paddles varying from 2 to 6.5 hours. The shuttle service makes the logistics of spending time on the water easy. Ice Cream Parlor: This section is small but offers some of the best ice cream I've been served in Indiana. Our most recent visit we enjoyed Kentucky Praline Pecan, Florida Orange Sherbet and Strawberry Cheesecake varieties. They rotate flavors but have enough variety I've always found something tempting. Wine Room and Craft Beer: The tasting room is beautiful but we honestly haven't tried this yet. At the moment the only food they have daily to go with the drinks is nachos. However, they have been offering food with live music as outlined on their Facebook page and website. Event Space: The back portion of the property has been made into an event space with tables under cover in another out-building. My mom's high school reunion is scheduled to take place here.

It wasn't safe for my 62 y.o. self & my 50 y.o. brother didn't need to be manipulating the heavy aluminum canoes (6 of them). Additionally, it wasted a lot of time that we could've been on the water. End of trip wasn't better. Off loaded at a small beach area within a campground. The van/trailer was backed up to beach area, but we had to go ashore about 8 paces before the beach because there we a bunch of kidz playing in the water. Again, our group had to unload our stuff from canoes AND haul them up a berm & over to the trailer (Dan may have moved 1). It was quite obvious he copped an attitude, by his changed demeanor from our interaction with him @ beginning of trip. We had no idea why the change, but didn't imagine it had anything to do with us. Upon returning to the office to ck out, we were told to hang up our 14 life vests (been on a lot of canoe trips & never had to do the staffs' jobs before - smh). As our group was in the lot saying goodbye to one another, one member approached me to say 'I know why Dan was angry when he picked us up. I heard him tell the lady behind the desk that we didn't go ashore at the beach right by his trailer, so he had to haul the canoes over to it.'. SMH We tried this business on the Kankakee River to save us drive time to Tippecanoe River (riverside rentals), which has been our 'go to' for the last few years. We'll be going back to them now & I won't complain about the drive time (lol). MUCH better service (staff puts canoes in & takes them out), $20/canoe cheaper & they're fiberglass so they're lighter), they use a short school bus to transport which provides plenty of room for our group/gear. And, at the end (knowing we're pooped out) they even help us remove our gear from the canoes! Note; the kankakee river route wasn't woodsy (residential) & was often parallel to back roads which were busy with cars/motorcycles - so noisy as well, there were speed boats zooming all over near the beach area where we needed to go ashore, and there weren't ANY good places to stop to stretch or have lunch - too high embankments & MUCK 6" deep (we were told there were plenty of island to stop at - sure, you can stop but you can't access islands). We were also told there was a good current, which was only true in a very few areas where the water was shallow so we didn't appreciate the heavy canoes. All in all it was a lot of work for us & a big disappointment :(
