The people were friendly, the boat we rented was the perfect size for the six of us that went, AND the price was less than what the original estimation was! Our group only went with tubing and water skiing, but for 5 hours on the water at $25 a pop, we each got more than our money's worth. Will most likely be coming back next summer when it's warmer!

Half the tent/pop-up sites have 20 amp. Three rustic log cabins are available to rent for a true "pioneer" experience. Modern restrooms and shower are located in the nearby mule barn. Be sure to visit the award-winning museum (open 1-4 daily.) On weekends during the summer, ride the canal boat on the last navigable section of the Wabash & Erie Canal in Indiana. There are miles of walking/cycling trails. Downtown Delphi has several nice restaurants, art galleries, restored working Opera House, shopping... all within walking distance.

Check-In Process The woman working the front desk (I believe her name was Cali) was kind and did her best to help us. This review is not about her. The check-in system, however, was incredibly inefficient. Every camper had to come to the desk individually, Cali had to look up their waiver, and they then had to have their name written down by hand. Checking in our group of 50 campers took approximately 35-40 minutes. As a camp, we take trips to many local attractions that require waivers, and we've never had a check-in process take more than about 10 minutes. This system felt unnecessarily slow and completely unprepared for groups. 2. Communication Before our visit, we clearly communicated that we needed to leave by 2:30 p.m. to return to camp for dismissal and that we were looking for roughly a 1.5-hour boat ride. After finally checking in, we were put on a shuttle bus for nearly 20 minutes. During the ride, I asked the driver how long the boat trip would be back to our starting point. She told us it was a three-hour trip. At that point, it was obvious there was no way we'd make it back in time. We had to turn around, ride the bus back, wait while boats were rearranged, and then be transported to another launch point. In total, we arrived around 1:10 p.m. but didn't get onto the water until approximately 3:30 p.m.--over two hours spent waiting with 50 campers in 90-degree heat. We ultimately had to notify parents that camp dismissal would be delayed by about an hour. 3. Customer Service This section is directed specifically at the owner, Andy. The employees we interacted with--the front desk staff, the people helping with the boats, and the bus driver--were all friendly and helpful. They were not the problem. After explaining what had happened, we respectfully requested a 50% refund on our $500+ reservation since a large portion of our day had been spent waiting because of issues that were outside of our control. Rather than showing any understanding or attempting to work with us, Andy was hostile and dismissive. Judging by other reviews mentioning similar interactions, this unfortunately does not appear to be an isolated incident. Overall The boating itself was fun, and the campers enjoyed the time they actually spent on the water. Unfortunately, everything surrounding that experience overshadowed it. Between the inefficient check-in process, the poor communication about scheduling, and the owner's response when we raised legitimate concerns, this ended up being the worst field trip we've had in over five years of running our camp. I would not recommend this location for large groups, and we will not be returning.

Visitors must obtain a pass from the office to fish and swim which there is a nice little beach and swimming area right in front of the club house. If you want to put your boat in the water you MUST be a property owner and you must register it for Lake Holiday at this office at a $20 fee. There is only one boat ramp and access is restricted unless you have a magnectic pass card for the gate. The lake itself is fairly decent for all types of boating. Its definitely not the biggest lake but still fun to toodle around on and do some fishing. Fish stock: yellow and channel cats, stripers, crappies, and bluegill are the regular catch. Fair warning: They do have security that patrols the lake so if you put your boat on the lake without a registered sticker you'll be fined if caught. Tip: If youre not a property owner and you were looking for a lake to put your boat in at, try Lake Waveland or Raccoon Lake Southwest of here. They are much bigger, and have great fishing.

( the staff member said what they had washed away in the spring) no where to pull your canoe to get off . Steep muddy hill to climb up. Someone in our group got hurt trying to get out when unloading . Young children were struggling to get up the steep hill.

You will be sleeping on sheets that were probably not washed in all the units, units that smell like pot, cooking supplies that were not cleaned, the basement unit has no heat or AC, and I am pretty sure there is mold under the carpet in the cubby hole he tried to create a sleeping bunk in. When it rains the carpet was soaked and all he did was face a fan on it. I had three cases of bronchitis during my stay and a lung infection. The lock for the basement is a piece of wood in the sliding glass door. He will call you when there is any problem with other units because he is "unavailable" and needs you to do the work as a "favor" for free. He lists units on several websites and double books and blames a guy named Brennen that I am now sure is also him. All the units sewer and electric is unsafely wired into the house unit basement, I doubt it has been inspected by anyone from the county, which will be my next email. He lists his legit business as a boat rental company and not a home rental. I had two small well behaved, well trained, well groomed dogs with me that he also claims ruined his dirty basement unit. There are several other options for lodging near the park, I suggest you check them out fist before choosing this place. I was so happy to get out of that place, it was a nightmare. Do not stay here.
