She said "we can engrave for free and see how it turns out, it might be very small, but if it doesn't look good, I can always order another ring for you." Those were her exact words. I did not ask her to engrave the ring. She asked me if she could try the engraving, saying she wasn't sure if it would be too small. I figured that she was being honest and agreed to let her try. Guess what? It didn't turn out good at all. In fact, I would need a magnifying glass to see the name she engraved on the ring. Since she was not in the shop when I tried to pick up the ring, I asked the lady that was there to have Laura call when my reordered ring arrived, since I was not pleased with the engraving. Today, (2 weeks later), Laura, left me a voicemail saying she "didn't want to be unfair to herself" and pay for a new ring so she would provide only HALF of a refund!!!!! I am baffled by this lack of professionalism. It was made worse by the fact that when I tried to return the call (within one hour of her leaving the message), the number was not taking calls. I went online and saw that it was her business telephone number and it was during the hours that her business was open. Sad situation all around. Over a 50.00 ring!
