I rarely write articles on web sites but I have been shopping at Raymond's since 1994 and this family owned business is very friendly and service oriented. There is no high pressure sales tactics and they warranty every item that they sell. They ripped off my cousin for $5,000 for a necklace I could only get $200 for, and they offered $1,200 for a pair of earrings they sold for $2,500. Loved her, don't go there! We did much better in NYC.

I'm so glad I found this place! Good Vibes is an awesome gift and flower shop. The owner, Melody, is super nice and helpful. She made a gorgeous flower arrangement on the spot for me. The gift selection is great, with lots of cute, fun, beautiful, and unique gifts for all occasions, and many of the items are crafted locally. She has gifts for new babies, weddings, pets, friendship, and nice things for the home, as well as really cute purses. Purchasing a gift from this shop not only benefits a small business and the local community, but it ensures you will have something unique that you can't, for example, just buy at Target. Plus, the shop is dog friendly! Melody had a treat at hand for my dog. I will definitely be back the next time I need a quick gift and will spread the word about Good Vibes!

Plus, the seating is very limited. If there are more than, say, 8-10 people in the store you will be left standing. The store has a tendency to get very smoky and incredibly hot in the winter. They have a stove in the center of the shop and the owner likes to keep it too warm. It gets so hot that I have seen numerous people have to open the front door. This is not a place I go to anymore. 9/23/18 - This is in response to Kevin F's reply. The review was not written as a "personal grudge against the owner." In fact, I do not mention the owner, his/her name, or ethics. It is my opinion of the establishment. Like it or not, I am entitled to my opinion. I never made any personal comments. 1) The selection is roughly half compared to stores I frequent in the greater NY/CT area. 2) While the store does have outdoor seating saying they seat 19 is a stretch. I have never witnessed 19 people sitting in the store at once. 3) The store is small and when it is full it does get smoky. 4) Finally, it does get exceptionally hot. In closing, and again, this was not an attack on the owner. It is one persons opinion of an establishment. You do not have to like it but respect someone's opinion.

Yesterday afternoon I had a Reiki session with Dr. Carlacio. I went into it with an open mind, but…read moreI really did not know what to expect. I deal with neuropathy and a number of other health issues that affect me physically, but also take a toll mentally and emotionally. When you deal with these things long enough, you get used to your body always telling you that something is wrong. You almost forget what it feels like to simply be still and feel well. That is what made yesterday different. During the session, I could actually feel myself letting go. There was a sense of calm that went beyond simply being relaxed. My body felt different. My mind became quieter. And emotionally, I felt more centered and at peace than I had in quite some time. What Dr. Carlacio does is very difficult to describe until you experience it yourself. She has an incredible ability to make you feel comfortable, safe and completely present in the moment. There was nothing clinical or mechanical about the experience. It was simply one person genuinely focused on the well-being of another. I am not suggesting Reiki replaces traditional medicine. It doesn't. I still have neuropathy and I still have the medical issues I walked into the room with. But wellness is more than treating a diagnosis. It is also about how you feel inside your own body, where your mind is, and sometimes where your spirit is. Yesterday, Reiki gave me something in all three of those areas. I walked into the session carrying a lot, physically and mentally. I walked out calmer, lighter and with a sense of balance that I had not felt in a long time. For me, that makes what Dr. Carlacio does something very special. I will absolutely be back.

She also asked me if there were any current issues bothering me, either of mind or body. I told her of a continuous, but random, pain behind my left knee. Once she started the session there was complete silence and I opted to close my eyes and feel her energy cover me as she transferred that energy to me. I felt a very light, but noticeable undulation of a warm feeling going through my body. She would slightly touch me in places that was hardly noticeable, concentrating a little longer on my knee. When she finished I felt a calming sensation like I had just meditated, but more relaxed. By the way, I haven't had that pain behind my knee even once since! I expect I will be looking her up when I am in the area again. John C.
