We got all the paperwork out of the way pretty quick, next to X-ray, and off to anesthetics. The nurse was so caring, it seemed unreal, she really didn't like causing me pain, so very appreciated. She let the anesthetics do their job for a few, seemed the right thing to do, next thing I knew, time to go home for everyone. Can't recommend them enough, the amount of care seemed to me untouchable. If you're like me & don't care to visit the dentist, I believe this might be the place for you too. The dentist would like me to scheduled a cleaning, she is so caring, I will most likely call in the near future. My husband has had routine dental care over the years and ALWAYS takes very good care of his teeth. He is young without any prior dental problems. I understand Hwang to be very good and detailed, however, I felt like they were just trying to make money off my husband & his insurance. They ran all the insurance benefits and planned out the all the procedures to maximize the benefits, which I suppose was nice... However, I was shocked and we got second AND third opinions, one included flying my husband 3000 miles to my trustworthy dentist back home. Both 2nd and 3rd opinions, said that his seals were fine, he had NO cavities, and they couldn't find any reason he needed such work done. I was very disappointed not to find great service here, however my husband has found a wonderful dentist downtown next to his work that has been great.

I've used Mike/DDS dental as my dentist for over a decade. As soon as he opened this location I came here and left a review. Then yelp deleted the review because it was on the "old" name of the office. So i wrote another review for Mike because he does such good work. Well guess what?! they took that review away too! So to give you an idea of how great this place is i'm writing a THIRD FRICKEN REVIEW for a FRICKEN DENTIST in the SAME LOCATION!!! sweet baby Jesus... So like his Marysville location, Dr Mike works at both because he thinks he still has the energy of an 18yr old. He still looks like he's 21... but I use him because he's the best dentist i've ever had. I am pretty knowledgeable about dentists because my teef r jacked after years of commercial fishing, army, and other stupid stuff. I hate dentists. I especially hate those super long Novocain needles as they go closer...and closer... and closer... to my face. I'm pretty sure they are against the Geneva Convention rules of war which is why only dentists can use them. I know they probably use them in Guantanomo Bay under the guise of "health care" to get terrorist secrets from the ..uh... terrorists. It why during their videos their teeth are much whiter than mine. Mike is the only dentist where I don't scream like a little 5 yr old when he numbs me up. He does excellent work, he cares about his patients, and everyone is so friendly that even when I don't have an appointment I stop by to say hi when i'm working every once in awhile. He is super supportive of first responders...and firemen. ;) The office in Alderwood has been freshened up appropriately, but i kind of miss those old cracked leather seats that are older than me. He easily works within insurance rules to make sure your treatment plan is the most fiscally responsible for patients to reduce their costs. And genuinely he is a good friend. So come here.. or come to Marysville... for the sake of all that's Holy! Get your teeth taken care of!.

Throughout the process, I could feel Dr. Tran methodically working on ways to better enhance the wellbeing and overall benefits of the patient. As for the crew, they are professional, conscientious and friendly. I remember at the end of procedure, which had taken a whole day of operation, I appeared weak when leaving the clinic. The staff wouldn't let me drive or even take a cab. Unwilling to leave my vulnerability to chance, two of them brought me as well as my car home! Despite being visibly tired, they would still volunteer extra work, added time (and gas) to their already untypically long day to ascertain their patient home safe. Such customer service was exemplary! As a prospective client, I was looking for affordability. I'd also hope the process would incur as little discomfort and pain as possible. Above all, with desirable end results. Martha Lake Dental has given me all this. It should be noted, both permanent prothesis do not occur to produce the typical flaws of an All-on-4 aftermath that commonly leave the mouth a "widened" or "bulking" feeling. Duffy is front desk extraordinaire [full disclosure I wasn't pleasant during our first conversation I had EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE from the ghosts of bad dental office experiences]. I originally looked up and booked an appointment here for my husband who refuses to go to a doctor or dentist when he's in pain and they were able to get him in and when I went inside to pay for his visit, they got me to book an appointment for a cleaning (Lord knows I was well overdue for one because I have the worst teeth issues since I was young). My husband has a female dentist at the time but I was scheduled with Dr. Jason Byun. Anyways, I've been here for maybe a little over a year now with my regular cleanings, deep cleanings, more major procedures and every time they have all been so kind and they really listen to you when you're describing the issues you have. And when you're someone like me with a history of problems... it's really nice of them to genuinely care for their patients. Today I went in for another cleaning and Leila was just very knowledgeable and helpful answering questions as to what is happening inside my mouth rather than the usual "make sure you brush your teeth and floss".
