My visit was outstanding from my registering to the completion of dental work done. Truly an…read moreexperience that I will not forget. Dr. Haynes was thorough in relaying details to what procedures were necessary. What I also found outstanding was the way she detailed the information for the root canal and fillings, concise and in plain language! The equipment within the facility was of the highest level to carry out the X-ray, and other procedures needed. The Dental Hygienist Brian was patient, experienced and everything was done in excellence and care. That's probably what topped the overall experience was the CARE give to me. It makes a difference when you find any business or establishment that cares! They get 10 Stars and an Overflow of gratitude for their care and excellence! Thank you Alderwood Family Dental.

***PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE VISITING THIS OFFICE*** This dental office commits FRAUD. I am…read morecompletely shocked and disgusted by the level of malpractice and legal fraud that I have witnessed and experienced over the past several weeks. I am a lawyer and I don't take these accusations lightly, but this is truly horrendous. I have been a patient at this office with Dr. Rob for several years, and have always had positive experiences. Within the last few months, they have completely changed their entire staff - from their dentists and hygienists, to the front desk, to their management. I went in for a routine cleaning in December and was told by Dr. Leslie that I needed a crown on both of my top molars. This was pretty shocking because I had never been told this before, but I trusted her. A few weeks later, I went in to get the crown prepped and a temporary crown placed. Over the next two weeks, the temporary crown broke FOUR TIMES. The last time I went in, it took them over two hours to try to create a temporary crown, and they were unable to make one and basically told me "sucks but it is what it is.... you'll just have to deal with it." At that point, I told the dental office that I would be going somewhere else to have the crown completed. After talking to my insurance company, I was told that they incorrectly billed and charged me for placement of a permanent crown, even though they never performed that service. They also billed insurance and charged me for a "build up" and claimed that they did perform that service, which I have since learned they did NOT do. When I went to the new dental office, I learned some pretty shocking news. First, I was told that I didn't even need a crown to begin with, and they did not understand why they recommended it. She said she could fix my tooth that was already in the middle of the process, but that I definitely did not need one on the other tooth. THEN, she told me that the prior dentist didn't actually do a build up, and she did not understand why they would have billed for that. When I called the office to ask them about this, their response was "well we did it so I don't know what to tell you." This company is truly committing fraud and should be put out of business. When I was in the office, I overheard the dentist telling the patients on BOTH sides of me that they also needed crowns. They lied about what services were rendered, and fraudulently billed my insurance and collected money from me. Vanessa, the woman who works the front desk, is completely incompetent, extremely rude, and a perfect representation of this horrible business. I also just learned that the office manager (Brittany), who was the last original employee and the only person to actually help me throughout this nightmare, no longer works there as of the last week or so. Please do not support this business. In addition to these reviews, I'll be reporting them, and I genuinely hope they have to suffer the consequences of their horrible actions.

I know all "Modern Dentistry" branches probably aren't associated with each other but every time I…read moremove, I always search for a "Modern Dentistry" since my first experience when I lived in Portland was great. Since then, this might be my 3rd branch in Washington alone (I tend to move a lot...) and I'm glad I came here before I saw the reviews that probably would have scared me off. I originally looked up and booked an appointment here for my husband who refuses to go to a doctor or dentist when he's in pain and they were able to get him in and when I went inside to pay for his visit, they got me to book an appointment for a cleaning (Lord knows I was well overdue for one because I have the worst teeth issues since I was young). My husband has a female dentist at the time but I was scheduled with Dr. Jason Byun. Anyways, I've been here for maybe a little over a year now with my regular cleanings, deep cleanings, more major procedures and every time they have all been so kind and they really listen to you when you're describing the issues you have. And when you're someone like me with a history of problems... it's really nice of them to genuinely care for their patients. Today I went in for another cleaning and Leila was just very knowledgeable and helpful answering questions as to what is happening inside my mouth rather than the usual "make sure you brush your teeth and floss". Like I said in the beginning of this review, every Modern Dentistry branch I've been to in multiple states has always been so nice.

Leila was great, she helped me better understand some of my ongoing issues and gave specific,…read morehelpful advice. She has a caring and kind approach that feels very genuine.

As you can imagine we were quite nervous, but Dr Songs office from the first appointment to now have been nothing but helpful and patient. They make the process very easy, they send us reminders leading up to our appointments and explain everything when we are at their office. We needed a lot of work done and we have finally got back on track and plan on maintaining it. They make it as "painless" as dentist work can be!

First of all, let me say his staff takes like a million pics of your tooth and they do ample…read more amount of X-rays. Then dr song examined my teeth and said I had a cavity. So I scheduled to have a filling done. Well here comes the day of the dental filling. Half way during the procedure, dr song makes a comment saying that he didn't realize the filling would be this big and mentioned a crown could been done. But he thinks the filling can still be done. I have never had a root canal or crown before so I was pretty shocked but was happy at the same time because he said I could still get by with just a filling for now. So after all the pain and uncomfortableness of having a huge filling done, I left the office to go home to recover. Well the very next day, I was eating, I noticed a sharp pain on that tooth. The pain didn't get better so I called dr song's office. Turns out he was out of town for a week. I had to quickly find another dentist, get more X-rays done, to find out the filling was cracked because it was too big for my tooth to handle the impact when u eat etc. A partial crown should have been done in the first place!! I found another dentist last minute that was covered by my dental insurance. I had to go through another painful procedure to get the filling out, more grinding, more numbing medication, to have the partial crown put in. And on top of that, more money spent. And nope, I never bothered to go back to Dr. Song. I would prefer someone with more expertise so I wouldn't have to go through these dreadful procedures.
