Mower's Saturday Sunday Flea Market - There's A Lot To Find Here. Just Bring Cash. (Some Vendors Might(?) Do Venmo Or Square)

We visited this flea market while we were in the village and had a fun time. First thing to note,…read moremuch of it is under trees, so there is shade as you walk around. That was a major plus. I am no stranger to flea markets, but what I loved about this one was the friendliness of the vendors. All were welcoming and willing to strike up conversation, especially about music. A great deal of finds hide here, including vinyl, China, jewelry, gemstones, print media, art, antiques, clothing, vintage, handbags, etc. There is a little something for everyone. Overall, a very fun experience. Try it out!

Tucked away in the famous Woodstock strip, is a quiet street around the corner from Bread Alone:…read moreMaple Ln. Woodstock is a diverse and eclectic town but it's also famous for its Mower's Flea Market every Saturday and Sunday in a big grassy area. Hubs and I have always made it a point every time we come to Woodstock in the last 20 years, to stop here first (out of nostalgia) before making the drive down home. Quite honestly, we've scored several hand-made pieces and a vintage Dashiki hubs had found for me. Mower's is made up of several vendors all selling something different. Over the years though, the amount of vendors have dropped. And forget about COVID last year- because it didn't take place and was weird looking at vendor-less lot when we came to the area for a day trip in the Fall of '20. But alas, Mower's is back in business and we were delighted to see more vendors (almost) recently like we used to 20 years ago. You'll find antiques, memorabilia, some kitsch- the same way you'll find locally made products. The way I see it, it's a shopping haven for me. Just make sure you get here before they close for the season in November.

I stopped in with my husband the other day to select a dress for an event. The owner was charming,…read moreshe had no qualms about taking apart the mannequin for me to try the dress on that'd caught my eye in the window. While it didn't fit quite right, I did find a beautiful white Coach bag I fell in love with, and a lovely watch, just what I'd been looking for. I've never been a fan of second hand stuff. But the clothes were in excellent condition and presented nicely. Service was friendly and I can honestly say I truly enjoyed my shopping experience. In fact, there are a pair of heels I can't stop thinking about, and believe I will return for them. What a nice edition to the village. I hope they thrive and prosper. Will be back for those blue and white heels!

When I finally went in I was greeted pleasantly and the shop was organized well and inviting, with vintage charm. As I browsed the shoes, I was directed to the shelves with my size and encouraged to try on anything I liked. I kept on a pair of boots to ensure they were comfortable for me while I shopped the rest of the store. I found so many things I loved, including a ring and a unique cardigan that elicits multiple compliments every time I wear it. While I was shopping for over an hour, other shoppers came in, new and repeat customers. Each person was welcomed pleasantly, and assisted with any questions with no pressure whatsoever. Eventually, I became a consigner myself. I still spend more than I make, but I have great new additions to my wardrobe! I'm looking forward to another shopping visit today! This shop is worth checking out!
