It was affordable especially when you considered the workmanship. Sold! The owner of the business, Justine, welcomed me and asked me if I needed any gifts. She showed me some beautiful handmade cloth tote bags which fold into zippered clutches. They came in stunning colors and would make awesome gifts for about $20 apiece. I bought two. That was fast. I gave them away as soon as I got home so I have nothing to show. They received rave reviews. Though my shopping experience began with gifting a basket to myself, I've since found reasons to return to West Africa Treasures to make more purchases for friends and family. There's a great deal of variety, including jewelry, housewares, drums, sculptures and personal care products. Justine has a second store at Colonie Center. Her prices are reasonable. I think many of the handmade items are classy. There's also online sales which can be done through the West Africa Treasures website. I bought some earrings online to give as gifts. Justine takes great care in providing excellent customer service. After I made the online purchase, she followed up to let me know when to expect the package. The earrings arrived on time and looked wonderful. They were exactly as pictured! They made great Christmas presents. Thanks, West Africa Treasures!

The word has gotten out about the toys because many families show up. I grew up on Sanrio toys and Hello Kitty has always been one of my favs. You'll find plenty of Hello Kitty and friends merch but I've noticed that they've already run out of some items and not restocked. There's no staff on the floor to offer assistance. Since many of the products are not labeled in English, only Japanese, they really need more customer support. Also, please fix the token changer, which has been broken for several days. The entire front portion of the store is dedicated to machinery that only accepts tokens including the arcade-style claw machines and small toys /key chains dispensers. I saw people wandering through the aisles looking really confused since dozens upon dozens of machines in this section are unplayable if customers can't change their dollars into tokens. There's no one around to even explain that to them. I did, however, enjoy buying snacks. The spicy potato sticks may be my favorite. I look forward to trying the new foods they plan to bring in. I wish they could offer full meals. I mistakenly thought the store would look more like a Japanese version of H Mart which is Korean and truly has everything. Still, Ebisu's arrival to the Capital Region gives shoppers more variety and options, which is great.

Went to open the panettone bread today and there was a large chunk missing out of the bread and someone had very deceptively re sealed the box with packaging tape on the bottom. I understood that no refunds are given and all sales are final and no returns. I took it back anyway feeling they would want to know about this. We just received a response of oh wow and sorry. I did expect that they would refund the $2.00 as this was very deceptive to resell a food product that had been opened and very discreetly resealed but no refund was given. I urge all customers here not to purchase food items as they may be potentially dangerous. if they have been resealed. I'll still be a customer for other items here but will never purchase food because of the safety of how food is handled.
