Let me say this again for thev1 millionth time: There are a million parks in Houston. Literally a park right next to a park sometimes. What I love about this park and other parks is that it's super easy to at least walk a mile and they are peaceful. When I go walking solo, I stay in areas where I could easily be seen by other people and keep some things handy. I'll be back again for sure! I love a great park!!! read more

Nice little green space for the surrounding neighborhood plenty of parking space here and great path for walking and biking. There is a pavilion and kids playground. If you live nearby this park, you should try to enjoy this green space as much as possible. read more

Very disappointed that dogs on leash can't be on the trails away from the play areas.

A playground and a boardwalk in the middle of the circle. That's all I can say. Also a lot of kids hanging here with babysitters and parents. Homeless people sometimes hang here. So beware of that. And there might be trash around the area due to the litterbugs. You've been warned. read more

A clean, green and nice little park. Its a 15 acre park with a 0.53 mile trail according to their online park layout map. Trail length is formatted/redacted on the actual layout map available on the park. I see here people doing walking, jogging, running, yoga etc. There are people seating, laying down, relaxing, gazing or just people watching. Kids love their play areas. Little kids come in groups playing soccer. Kids learning cycling or free play all over. There are 2 play areas for little kids and tots. Plenty of green open fields for little kids to play around. A small boardwalk adds to the fun for the kids and a nice photo op. I think this little park is best suited for them. Several picnic tables with bbq grills. 2 gazebos. Also, some benches laid out throughout to rest and relax. I often see people celebrating on the gazebos and picnicking here. Although this park is not for pets, yet once I saw a dog owner here. Park rules are for a reason. I love pets but I know people with pet allergies. Why complain. Respect the rules especially when there are several pet friendly parks nearby. Small parking lot but I haven't had any problems so far. During this time of Covid19, I see a lighter crowd here. Not crowded but not isolated too, enough that I feel safe. I think I'm able to maintain physical distancing in this park while I still get my fresh air. My favorite part is that there are lots of trees and the park is located in such a way that almost entire park is shaded by evening, even during the peak summer! I can beat the excessive heat and cool off. read more

I like this family park, as its always busy with pedestrians, runners, and families picnicking. There is a nice running trail that goes around park. I kind of measured it and for 2 1/3 laps, its a mile. As a I run 6miles daily, it took me 14laps around. There is a nice picnic area with shed and canopy and I have noticed usually families having birthday parties and other celebrations. Also, I see other families sitting in groups all through out the park and having casual conversations. Others are playing soccer/futbol. Then you have the steady runners, like myself. There are walkers, pacing through the park. Folks are grilling. etc. I have also witnessed "Larpers" out here with their knight armors, shields and made to believe swords and other accessories that go along with being a knight. Those Larpers are seriously indulged in conquering the land. Overall, a great park for any kind of activity. read more

I loved walking around this little park. I thought that the trail would have been a lot longer, but was not. If you are looking for a nice, long walking trail this is not your place. This is more of a place to have a picnic or play soccer with friends, children or family. There is a cute little area where you can sit and definitely recommend during these times. read more

Perfect place for a socially distant Christmas picnic with friends! I needed to find a park that wouldn't be too crowded and that had picnic tables. The park is small but had plenty of tables and the grounds are well kept and clean. The tables were big enough for us to spread out as well. We stayed until dark and still felt safe. Great park! Always plenty of kids playing all over it! Big kid playground gated next to a little kid playground, also gated for safety! Swings, slides, monkey rings and a glider make up a small section of this health Incorporated public place. There's a huge runners trail, crosses a bridge, thru a butterfly expose and continues down alongside the lake. The fact it stays well lit after the sun sleeps is an extra bonus for parents who work later. Full of wildlife, open for all soccer games, BBQ pits, huge shade trees, benches, water fountains and CLEAN bathrooms is what makes Miller Park my fav!! . read more

This is one of my favorite parks to walk when I need to reach my 10k steps. It's very serene and family friendly. I wouldn't recommend it if you're wanting to do more than 1-2 miles because it's just one loop. read more

It's a small park with a lot of places to unwind. Square footage is small but there is not one, but two playgrounds, bridges, two gazebos, a restroom and a jogging trail with lights that wraps around the park. It's perfect! Lots of picnic tables and BBQ pits for a Sunday fun day at the park. I came here to scout out as location for A photo session for a client. I think I am going to bring my kids here to play. Plus with all the great restaurants in the area you have a perfect day of playing and eating. This is going to quickly be my new place to chill and unwind. read more

The end of the day comes after a long day at work and this is where I escape to! This is by far one of my favorite little parks because of how well it's kept and organized. It has beautiful green grass, a gazebo area where your able to throw parties, restrooms, slight hills, a track that is a little less than a mile long, kids playground, plenty of seating throughout the park and a wooden bridge with lots of trees surrounding the whole park. This would be a perfect park to have a picnic because of the shading throughout the whole area. I usually come here on the weekends and there are always friendly people walking around enjoying their children play or just working out. I tend to either walk or jog about four times and that adds up to close to 2.56 miles or so. Dogs are not allowed at this park from the signs that I have seen. Outdoors is the place to be so if you are ever around the area and decide to stop by you wont regret it. Very relaxing just to actually sit there and people watch... lol read more

I'm not typically an outside person, but since my bf lives literally right next door, we walk from his place to this park to go jogging. We come here cause it's convenient. It has a path for running, hills for group exercises and doing park activities, a playground, and restrooms. It has the basic things a park should have. There are no dogs allowed here though. Since it is a smaller park with children bc of the playground area, I can understand why. Just take your dog to the terry hershey park a couple of blocks away. No big deal. read more

This seems to be a good little spot for when you just want to get the kids out of the house and tire them out. There is a play area for the little one and another play area for the the bigger little ones. Not a heck of a lot to do, but just enough to keep the kids entertained for a little bit. There is spacious acreage for picnics, sports, and just family fun, complete with a gazebo in the middle of the two play areas. There needs to be some help in the upkeep department. This is a good park to walk at! The track is very small and it's made out of complete gravel which can be slightly annoying sometimes. On most days you will see a lot of people walking towards the evening and lots of families and kids playing. Very family friendly park! read more

Simple, small, sweet. This is where Ray Miller Park's beauty lies. If you weren't looking for it or if you aren't from the area, I swear you would miss the entrance to it. (It's located right off of Briar Forest and Eldrige Pkwy. If you're heading south down Eldridge Pkwy, it's right past Briar Forest and will be on your right just past an apartment complex.) I've been coming here for about 2 years now for a boot camp I do MWF evenings (see my review of "Mean Green Training Bootcamp" if interested :), so I've come to know and the love the park pretty well. When the weather's night, this place is like a beehive: lots of familes with their little ones running across the open grassy areas, throwing a football, kicking a soccerball, riding their trikes, having a picnic/BBQ, flying a kite. Also you can see several people running or walking the trail. Included are several trees, a huge walking/running trail, a boardwalk/bridge, two gazebos, and two children's play areas---the "tot lot" and the "intermediate" play area, birdhouses, wildflower area, and arbor. I also really like that there is a small hill and a large hill, which adds some diverstiy to the scape. A restroom on site (no soap though, blah), as well as water fountains and lots of picnic tables and BBQ grills. It's a very well maintained park. A downside is that during peak hours, like in the summer once the sun has set, it's almost impossible to find parking because the parking lot is so small. Do be careful about not parking in the fire lanes either because your car may get towed. On a couple of occassions when I have no luck with parking, I just park across the street and cross Eldridge Pkwy. And as I mentioned, no soap in the bathroom (BRING HAND SANITIZER). All in all, fantastic place to relax outside with family, friends, or by yourself. The park has everything you'd need! read more

Super cute tiny park! There's plenty of space to play and just relax. When you walk in, you will immediately see the children's play area. If you go during the weekend, or after 5, there will be tons of children. If you were hoping for a sweet romantic stroll at this time, walk away. It's awkward to have any form of PDA when there's so many parents/grandparents with their children there. To your right you can walk and find a small gazeebo with a grassy area shaded by a few trees. Those trees are climb-able if you so desire. There's a couple of people walking around/pretend jogging, fyi. In the back, you may continue your walk through a densely wooded area, aka the "forest of the park." You will exit it within 5 minutes of leisure strolling. It really is a cute park, it's nicely set up, and it does allow you to enjoy a little bit of green in the area. But, it's not big, you will finish your walk within 20 minutes, and during most hours there's an abundance of children and children sound effects. read more

City park that has a gazebo & fountain, plus a butterfly garden & walking trails, over 15 acres.This is a great park. There is a good size walking trail, plenty of trees, and lot of green space for activities. I went one evening with my family, and we had a hard time finding a parking spot because so many people were there enjoying nature. It was really pleasant. This is a great park. I used to only go here when I was avoiding the time commitment of Terry Hershey park, but since the recent safety issues at T. Hershey I'll be frequenting this park much more. I have a little tike to consider now and the kids here always seem to have a good time. read more

Who wants to go to a park that won't allow pets even if they are on a leash. We will not be coming back.

I have been coming to this park virtually every day since I wrote my last review! The thing I absolutely love the most is how secure it is from cars....in no way shape or form am I worried about my little one wandering in to oncoming traffic (which is seriously my favorite thing about this little park). I love the bridge, gazebo, and forrest in the back and the gravel trail that encompasses the park. The park is also very well maintained. Great place to visit! read more

This park is beautiful and convenient for everyone that live nearby. With so many apartment buildings located on Eldridge, this area serves as a relaxing beautiful park with a little play area for the children, a gazebo, a little wooded area with tall trees. Unfortunately, they do not allow pets on the premise which is really weird. I live right by it and the only reason I dont go very often is because of the no pet law. Albeit it, they do have water fountain near the gazebo area for human and pet. The only reason I am giving this park a 3 star is because of their non pet policy. Otherwise, it is a great park. Lots of people from diverse background come to the park in the evenings for walks. There are even some bootcamps that use this park in the evening. Overall, great park just needs to overhaul their pet policy. read more

This was an awesome park. It was a small park for jogging long distances but you can make due with a half mile trail around the park. Great place to take the family to for the kids to play, nice clean area and the park has a good distance for running as well. The trail is a dirt though so be careful from slipping. The two playgrounds are good size. Has many spots for BBQ with the family or friends. read more

This park was a bit of a let down as it's quite small, we walked round in about 10 minutes but when I looked at the map I imagined a huge park. It has shelter for people doing parties, bbqs and some beautiful planted areas. It's perfect for a wonder. read more

I absolutely love this park! It is one of favorite park in Houston. Why? Because there is something to do for everyone, whether you are wanting to get in a good run, wanting to play some flag football with friends, or wanting to spend some times with your family, you can do it all in this large expansive park. First of all this park is kept up well by the city. The grass is always cut, trash emptied, and the grounds are well maintained. There are two large gazebos good for exercise groups, parties, escaping the Houston heat, or just hanging out. There are also two nice gravel running trails, one that goes around the entire park, which is about a 1/2 mile and another that is about 400 yards. There are several nice children play areas, even one specifially little childeren and toddlers. There are always people grilling on the parks several charcoal grills and lounging on one of the many park benches and tables. Even the bathrooms are fairly clean, however make sure you bring some Purell b/c there is no soap...gross! But other than that small inconvience this is a great park to hang out in or come and get in some good exercise. read more

The park has nice scenery to take pictures and decent amount of room to enjoy the area. There are barbecue pits, picnic tables, and a gazebos. I just don't like that there are some areas that are not paved so you have to walk on dirt. read more
