White River Roofing - A bunch of nails at the bottom of my downspout I found when pulling weeds

    White River Roofing

While my new roof looks beautiful, it wasn't a very good, professional experience…read more I was initially referred to this company by my realtor because I needed a 2-year roof cert in order for my lender to approve my loan. Nick did provide the two-year cert, so in return I felt that I should return the favor and allow him to do my complete tear off and re-roof. I like to check up on potential workers /contractors. Upon doing so, I found that the business license provided did not match the business license on the CSLB website. Nick explained that he was now operating under his father's business license. When I checked that lic#, the workers comp was expired. So I let him know that I can't do business unless his workers comp is up to date. He provided me with a COI (proof of coverage) and when I called the name of the company on the document they said that the document had been modified and was fraudulent. So I reached back out to Nick. Eventually he provided a second document with a different insurer but again it had not been updated on CSLB. I made it clear, no work would be started until I see that the CSLB site has been updated. I remember Nick making a comment that I was particular about my documentation. Needless to say, starting this complete tear off and re-roof took longer than expected. Before tear-off starts they laid down tarps for staples, nails, anything else that falls on the ground from the roof. They did this in the backyard but they didn't do it in the front yard. Shortly after they started putting the shingles on, I noticed that they were the wrong color. I call Nick, he ordered the wrong shingles! So they had to take off the shingles that they had installed and wait for the correct shingles to arrive. All the venting hardware was a grayish color, they were meant for the other color roof. When I talked to Tim about it, he says do you want the black ones and I said yes. He said "we'll get you the black ones". To me that meant there would be a new set coming but no, what they did was they took what they had and they just painted them black. No big deal! Next surprise, I have a very large wood built shed on the property. It came to my attention, as I have cameras on my property, that the workers were going behind my shed to pee. When I address this issue with Nick he said oh, "they're peeing in a bottle, don't worry it won't happen again". This is where communication and professionalism is very critical for me. Talk to your client!! Ask if it's okay before you do something like that! It makes me wonder, what do these guys do at house where there is no privacy behind a big shed? Other stuff to know: For my second payment Nick gave a short notice request for cash. Within 24 hours of them completing their work I found a staple in my pool which was unreachable. Approximately 6 weeks after completion, I continue to find staples in my yards. Today I found a lot in my backyard. I also found a bunch of nails that look like they fell down the downspout and there are a bunch of nails in between mine and my neighbor's fence. See pics My final words: Be wary and strong as It seems true, NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED! I gave three stars only because my roof looks beautiful but I pray that they did the job proper!

The quote was very reasonable. Great services. When the installation team from Master Glass opened the packets to install, one of the bathroom window was difficult to open, and the slide door screen had a hole on it. Kevin and Brett made a claim to the factory. After that, the technician from JeldWen came to my ADU with the new slide door screen and fixed the window. Jame and his installation crews also did a great job, passed the inspection right away. Good business, very professional.

I was a little worried about the cost associated with a large custom piece like this, but to my surprise, the price was actually comparable to places like Home Depot and Lowe's even though the quality is much higher! Ordering a door can be really stressful because there are a lot of factors to consider. Light exposure, wear and tear.. I knew the look that I wanted but I had no idea what type of material. Don walked me through all of my options and we ended up with the perfect door. I'll post another picture from the outside once it's painted but this door really frames the house so beautifully. I'll definitely be using and recommending phase 4 in the future!

Do not use this contractor!! Hiring Bellagio Granite and…read moreQuartz for our bathroom remodel was a total disaster. We were stoked to move into our new house by May 18th and trusted them to handle the floors, kitchen countertops, and shower tile while we weren't around. Big mistake. We started noticing red flags when we'd swing by after the crew left. My husband's tools went missing, and we found empty alcohol cans all over the property--one even turned into a homemade pipe for who-knows-what. The crew pooped in the corner of our backyard and left toilet paper on the ground! We told Francisco, the guy in charge, and he basically shrugged it off. We got our tools back, but that was a huge red flag. Then the real mess started. They botched the shower wall measurements, leaving a gap at the top, and tried to hide it with a tiny strip of tile that looked awful. When we called them out, they suggested slapping more tile over it like a cheap fix. No way. When they started pulling the tiles off, we saw they used globs of caulk instead of proper thin-set mortar. Shady and unprofessional--makes you wonder how many people get this kind of garbage work without knowing. By move-in day, we had no working shower. Awesome, right? Their second try they spent an hour scribbling measurements on the tiles, erasing, and rewriting like they had no clue what they were doing. Then they cracked a big porcelain tile by cutting it dry (it's supposed to be cut wet). Francisco fessed up to the crack but had the nerve to ask if we'd use the damaged tile. Seriously? By the third attempt, I was done. I had to watch them like a hawk. They were about to tile again without smoothing the surface from the tile they pulled off or adding a second layer of waterproofing, leaving holes in the membrane. I had to use my phone to translate and make them do it right. If I hadn't babysat every step, it would've been a total failure. Again. The job finally got done on May 21st--which seemed rushed. Then they had the audacity to ask for an extra $500. We told them to get lost. They're lucky we paid the last $1,000. Don't hire Bellagio Granite and Quartz unless you want to deal with a crew that doesn't speak English, drinks on the job, takes your stuff, and half-asses everything. Save yourself the stress and find someone who actually cares about doing the job right.

However, after looking at a handful of other slab yards I still hadn't found *the one*. (I was shopping for a quartz countertop for my bathroom and kitchen) I went back to Pacific Shore Stones on a Saturday in early January and it was busy. Anthony was working that day and even though it was busy and he was helping multiple other people, I never felt invisible or smothered, I was checked on, and I was offered guidance on some of the slabs I'd liked in the warehouse, as well as the slab options in the showroom. Anthony gave me a lot of helpful advice that I would have not known to ask about or possibly overlooked because I wasn't aware to even consider it. I was able to find my slabs and will update the review once my project is complete. I'm really happy I went back into the store and worked with Anthony, he really made the experience a great one.

We first met Zack in Summer 2021, after Apex suggested we check PSS. We really liked one slab, and…read moretold him we'd inform our interior designer before purchasing it. Unfortunately our designer told us the slab wasn't available. Fast forward to 1/2022, we decided to again check PSS. Zack was there and remembered us plus the slab we had wanted. That's when we learned it had just sold two weeks earlier. Aside from being upset that our designer lied, we were amazed that after 6 months Zack cared enough to remember us and what we liked. The inventory at PSS is extensive, a bit overwhelming trying to decide on which ones would go in our bathrooms. So we took pictures and came back later. We should have made an appointment, since Zack was out when we returned. All of the staff are friendly and attempted to help. PSS had new inventory, which left us making new decisions. Unlike paint, which easily can be changed, stone is forever. We finally decided on quartzite in Crystal Tiffany (green/white tones) and Scarlet Crystal (pink/lilac/gold tones). My pictures don't capture their true beauty, especially the Scarlet in sunlight - WOW. The Tiffany was delivered to our fabricator Euro Tile and looks great in our primary bathroom, see pics. This morning we heard from our fabricator regarding the Scarlet Crystal delivery. Although great care was taken in storing and delivering these 2 quartzite slabs, something happened in transit leaving both with several hairline cracks rendering them unusable. OMG what a way to wake up. We called PSS, Zack answered and said as soon as Euro Tile called refusing delivery he already ordered 2 replacements from the same lot - that's very important otherwise could be different colors. He assured us it would arrive next week by 9/1. That's custom service.
