I recently had an amazing experience at the Narande Spa at Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at The…read moreButtes and it was exactly the relaxing escape we were looking for. We booked a couples massage and it was fantastic from start to finish. The massage therapists were professional, attentive, and clearly very experienced. The room was peaceful and comfortable, and the entire experience felt thoughtfully designed to help you completely unwind. It was the perfect way to spend time together while still getting a high-quality spa treatment. My GF also had a facial, which was equally impressive. The esthetician took the time to understand her skin and customized the treatment so it felt both relaxing and beneficial. Her skin looked noticeably refreshed and hydrated afterward, and it was one of the better facials she's had. The spa itself has a calm, tranquil atmosphere and the staff throughout were welcoming and attentive without ever feeling rushed. One small thing to be aware of for couples: the locker rooms are separate, so there isn't a shared space where couples can sauna or shower together before or after treatments. That said, the amenities themselves are very nice, and it didn't take away from the experience. Overall, it was a wonderful visit and a great way to relax and recharge. Between the excellent couples massage, a top-notch facial, and the beautiful spa setting, we'll definitely be back.

**Birthday Spa Day for a Group Stressful From Start to Finish**…read more I considered this spa visit months in advance for a group of 3-6 girls celebrating a birthday I called to ask about the amenities several times and explain explained to this. We intended to spend the whole day at the spa and get ready there before a dinner celebration, so I called ahead and confirmed there would be enough space and that the amenities would work for that. They did not. **No welcome, no guidance** - On arrival, the front desk gave us no map, no tour, and no key for the amenities listed in their own spa menu. - I had no idea where anything was -- not the pool, not the relaxation areas, nothing. - I went for a walk on the property, ended up by a small cave, and had no way to get back into the building. I had to call each time and wait for someone to come find me and open the door. **The facilities were not ready for a group** - The relaxation room has a direct view of the restroom stalls -- you can hear someone using the restroom while you're supposed to be relaxing. - The shower was broken. The solution offered after I asked if there was anywhere else to shower and get ready was : we could use the men's shower "around their times." But this might be a gamble - There were only two seats with a mirror for getting ready, in the locker/lounge room. Two -- for a group of girls. - Honestly, I've seen public bathrooms more spacious than this resort spa. **The service attitude** - Every single issue was met with the same word: "unfortunately." She must have said it ten times. - No attempt to fix anything -- no golf cart to show us around, no escort, no alternatives. Just "unfortunately." I was the one coming up with recommendations and solutions! **My pedicure** - I paid for a 60-minute treatment with leg Massage The treatment lasted about 25 minutes. - Every regular nail polish was dried up, so my only option was a gel color I didn't even like. - The technician applied the gel over my old polish without removing it first. I wasn't going to say anything, but I was pretty annoyed up until now. I called it out and she knew about it and just painted over it anyway. It came out bumpy, and the polish smeared off the moment I stood up. - During the appointment, an associate confirmed there is a mountain lion that runs around the property -- not exactly relaxing to hear after being locked out on the grounds. **The last straw** - My friend arrived, put on her robe, and it had holes in it and was still wet. She canceled her appointment on the spot. - We left and warned the rest of our group to cancel theirs before committing to this nonsense. A spa day is supposed to relieve stress. This one created it. If you're planning a group visit or a special occasion, book somewhere else.

I received an automated confirmation text two days prior, so I had no reason to believe there was an issue. When I arrived for my appointment, I found the salon permanently closed and the door locked. After some digging, I saw a Facebook post stating the business had closed, but relying solely on a Facebook post is not sufficient when the booking system is still active and sending confirmation texts. As an out-of-town client, there was no way for me to know my appointment was no longer valid. No call, no text, no cancellation notice. This was not a casual appointment -- it was for a wedding -- and the lack of communication forced me to scramble at the last minute. If a business is closing, booked clients should be proactively notified and all booking systems disabled. This situation could have been avoided with basic communication. Thankfully, I was able to find another salon last minute -- Primp and Blow Chandler -- who completely saved the day. Five stars to them for stepping in on short notice and doing an amazing job.

I actually liked the gym itself and its equipment selection, but my experience with the membership process and staff interactions created so much unnecessary frustration and ill will that I have now requested cancellation of all my EōS memberships and decided I would rather find another gym. One of my biggest issues was my repeated interactions with Kiani regarding the fitness/personal-training program. I clearly said that I wasn't interested, but instead of simply accepting "no," I felt repeatedly questioned and pressured about my decision. He asked me things like "How will you reach your goals?" as though I couldn't successfully work toward my fitness goals without enrolling in their program. This was particularly irritating because I had already successfully lost about 10 lb on my own. I explained that I normally exercise 5-6 days per week, doing approximately 10 minutes of cardio and 30-40 minutes of strength training. I was then told that this wasn't enough and that I should instead be doing around 30 minutes of cardio plus an hour of strength training. My doctors and nutrition professionals have been supportive of the routine I've been following, and consistency rather than excessive intensity has been what actually helped me make progress. I wasn't asking for my workout routine to be critiqued. I was simply saying that I did not want to purchase a fitness/personal-training program. Offering the program once is perfectly reasonable. What I found inappropriate was repeatedly questioning why I didn't want it, questioning how I would reach my goals, and "fitness-splaining" to me why my existing routine supposedly wasn't enough after I had already declined. "No, thank you" should have been enough. Unfortunately, the membership issue that followed made the experience considerably worse. I initially signed up online for Will Crush and shortly afterward decided that Will Power better suited what I wanted. I contacted EōS and then went to this location in person on September 3 specifically to cancel Will Crush and sign up for Will Power. Kiani handled this and told me that Will Crush had been cancelled and that everything was "all set." I left believing that the old membership was cancelled. My app continued showing Will Crush, however, so I followed up. The next day, Olivia actually checked my account and told me that Will Crush was still active and had NOT been cancelled. She then submitted another cancellation request to management and told me that it was expected to be processed by September 9 or 10. My September 4 written correspondence documents that I had been told the membership was cancelled in person and subsequently learned that it remained active. I want to be clear that Olivia was helpful, and my complaint is not directed at her. She actually checked the account, discovered the problem, explained what had happened, and attempted to get it corrected. What I find unacceptable is going to the gym specifically to cancel a membership, being told that it was cancelled and everything was taken care of, and then discovering afterward that the membership was still active. This was also happening while I was within the cancellation/rescission period stated in my membership agreement. The agreement itself says that a member may cancel before midnight of the third operating day after receiving the agreement and is entitled to a full refund when cancellation occurs within that period. Instead of a simple membership change, I have had to repeatedly follow up, submit online inquiries, call, return in person, send written cancellation notices and create my own documentation because I don't want to discover later that I'm being charged for memberships I requested cancelled. At that point, the accumulated experience changed my opinion of the gym entirely. The repeated pressure and unsolicited "fitness-splaining" had already created considerable ill will, and discovering that a membership I was explicitly told had been cancelled was actually still active was the final straw. I have now requested cancellation of all my EōS memberships. It's unfortunate because I genuinely liked the equipment, but I would rather find another gym than deal with a membership experience where saying "no" to an additional paid program isn't simply respected and where I have to repeatedly follow up to make sure a cancellation I was told was completed actually happened.

It's not instant gratification but I see the difference each time I go back.
