Clean and cute with all the little extra touches to make you feel like you are at a spa. We have a shower in our van but it's so nice to wash long hair in a "normal" shower every few days. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly staff and amenities like a loaner vehicle, etc. Our most recent stay was a different story. There are new owners who recently acquired the facility from some careless previous owners who had let the place go downhill. Many of the fun things we enjoyed before were in bad shape or just not working. The new owners apologized for the "mess" and assured campers that they are working on restoring the campground to it's former glory. They were working on several items that we noted, like the mini golf, and the abundance of sticker weeds throughout the park area. One thing I regretted about our stay was that the office chose to park someone directly next to us for our single night stay when there were very few occupants and many many sites to choose from. At the very least, they could have separated each camper with an empty space in between. I understand if they were super busy and had most sites occupied, but there was hardly anyone there and we suddenly had a direct neighbor. I'm hopeful that they will be able to turn things around. I plan to check back in with them when I pass through the area. Their pricing was less than the adjacent RV park, that did not seem to offer much more.

I have been fly fishing for 10 years but was new to the area, so I wanted a guide to help me get on the fish. Unfortunately, it stormed the night before and we didn't catch anything, but I can't say enough good things about my guide. Bruce Bauer worked his butt off to get us on fish, taking us to multiple locations and taking the time to show me the area. He even fixed some of my bad casting habits and was just so much fun to fish with. Bruce was personable, easy to talk to, and I really enjoyed my time. I will definitely be coming back to do a full guided trip with him!

It was a nice, quiet stay in the mountains. We stayed for two nights. The pull-thru spots were…read morepretty uneven, but not a big deal. The sewer line is very smelly. Laundry worked OK and the bathrooms were clean. The store is closed on Monday & Tuesday, which would have been nice to know ahead of time (this is not posted on the website). My only complaint would be at the end of our stay, I rinsed my dog's legs and paws in the shower. I got an angry call saying I owed a $25 deposit for damage to the bathroom. When I asked what the damage was, the owner said it was dog hair in the shower drain and by the door. Not sure what damage that is, but I paid it anyway. Overall, it is a nice, quick stop if you're passing through.
