It's very nicely set up with a big play structure for the big kids and a smaller one for the little kids. There's lots of variety from climbing to slides to bridges and tunnels and even a climbing rock for the big kids. Right next to it is a little picnic area and a soccer and baseball field. It includes soccer fields, basketball courts, a walking trail and wide open spaces for kids to play. In the spring my Jack Russell "Rufus" and I enjoy sitting in the grass, watching the kid play soccer or taking long walks along the path. The parks are immaculately maintained and I always feel safe and secure.

See photos. Another rec center is closer to home and will go there to save drive time. But nice to have an option for a newer location. Appears all the exercise equipment on 2d floor has been replaced with same models just new ones. One needs to bring own lock for lockers or buy one from rec center. Too much to list here but do a Google search to review all the improvements made visible and behind the scenes (roof/HVAC/plumbing)

Meaning, they are pretty indifferent when greeting or answering questions about the facility. They don't really say hello until we do. I can tell they are just there to have a job, so it doesn't detour me, but geez. I can't imagine being the face of the facility, and having such a poor attitude. They are not mean or disrespectful, but it's like they just tolerate the paying guests that come in. Kind of like that new emotion on the Inside Out 2 movie. There is one guy that is friendly-I think he has reddish hair and glasses. There is another guy upstairs and the first time we went, he just stared my son down in the youth area for like the first 20 minutes we were there. My son is within the age range, but I guess the staff member wanted to make sure he didn't do anything wrong. I interacted with him a bit, and it seemed to break down a little bit of his mean-mugging vibe. He might try saying hello to people, because most people won't want to break any rules if it means disappointing a friendly guy that is in charge. The facility is cool. I suggest they get built in locks on the available lockers like they have at Carpenter Rec. I also recommend that management have a team building exercise or rotate the front people with other staff to give them a break. If you can get past the blah energy upon arriving, it's a really great facility.

Just check with the website before venturing out. The facilities here are pretty good. It's not as big as the other recreation centers in plano but if you get a good deal nonetheless. The walking path around the pond is 0.5 miles. The playground appears well-maintained. There are easily 8 park tables under a shaded pavilion for picnics. Lots of beautiful ducks in the pond and kids fishing.

This park has all the goodies you need in a park with tennis and basketball courts, a couple of…read moreplaygrounds, walking paths, shelters, trees, picnic tables, trash bins, benches, doggie bags, and a drinking fountain. A nice spot for a walk, lunch, chat with friends, or play date for the kids (or the inner child when no one is watching;)! On my first visit here, there was a couple having lunch, a teen playing basketball, a teen walking his dog, and a family walking with their child in a stroller. I spotted a few butterflies, some frisky blue jays, and wildflowers after a recent rain too.

The playground is renovated a few years ago. It lost some of the adventurous equipment but the equipment is newer and geared towards younger kids. My kids still talked about the fun on the old ones. I don't know the name of those. The housing development next to it took away the little garden and volleyball court which didn't seem to get used much. It may belong to the old church that is gone too. The basketball court is always busy. Nice picnic area by the pavilion often draw crowds for parties. Nothing fancy here. Just a nice neighborhood park.
