My daughter is currently with COACH ALEX. All I've seen in this class every single week is stretching for 20-30 minutes and then for the last 20 minutes the children run around or attempt to flip on bars. There are way too many children with one coach who does not even have enough time within the last 20 minutes to help all the children with what they're supposed to be learNing. Half of the time the little girls stand there looking clueless as to what they're supposed to be doing. The coaches are rude when you speak to them and just all around look like they don't enjoy their jobs. This place is also unorganized and does whatever they want. I'm curious if there's someone who should be watching over these coaches to make sure the job is done correctly. I will not be returning and do not recommend.

I booked Golden Grip Gymnastics about six weeks before my son's 3rd birthday. They were so much cheaper than everywhere else in the area, but my husband and I checked out the gym when we put down the deposit so I felt confident that the kids would at least have fun if nothing else! I had planned to bring my own cake and have pizza delivered, and although GGG provides tablecloths, plates, napkins, etc., I brought my own because I wanted everything to follow the theme of the party. We had the whole huge gym to ourselves. The gymnastics area was a BLAST for the kids (especially the foam pit), and then Corbyn led a group dancing game and we took photos of all the kids together (a great idea and something I never would have thought of to do!). The GGG team took care of setting up, handling the kids, handing out pizza and cake, and cleaning up. Corbyn set everything up on the tables, but was totally cool with me rearranging some things in order to make room for the pizza.  My review is not doing justice to the amount of hard work the GGG team put in and how much fun the kids had. I could not give a stronger recommendation for Golden Grip as a birthday party venue. Such a great experience, and depending on my son's interests next year, we'll probably plan to be back!

I had the privilege to observe a couple of classes in a great holding area for the parents and visitors. They have all the equipment you'd expect in a world-class gymnastics space, I almost wanted to go out there and do some of it myself but couldn't upstage those starry-eyed kids! As I understand it they also train the older kids who are Olympic hopefuls and have garnered some major awards in the various competitions across the state. As a minority mother of a neurodivergent child with ADHD, I left absolutely heartbroken by how my 7-year-old daughter was treated. Throughout the class, Coach Ashley repeatedly yelled at, corrected, and singled her out in a way that felt drastically different from the treatment of the other children. The final straw was when my daughter was denied a turn on the trampoline while the other children participated. She left class in tears. When I attempted to speak with Coach Ashley afterward, she refused to engage and walked past me. When I brought my concerns to management, I was interrupted before I could finish explaining what happened. There was no apology, no concern for a crying child, and no accountability. The only response was, "I'll change her class." What made this even more upsetting is that this was not the first concerning interaction I have witnessed at WOGA Plano. I have personally observed management speaking harshly and publicly reprimanding other minority children in a way that made me uncomfortable. I cannot tell anyone what was in Coach Ashley's heart, but I can tell you how it felt to watch my daughter be singled out, excluded, humiliated, and reduced to tears while other children were not. As her mother, the experience felt racist, discriminatory, and cruel. WOGA Plano may have a strong reputation, but no reputation excuses making a little girl feel unwanted and unwelcome. I do not recommend WOGA Plano, especially for minority families or families with neurodivergent children. My daughter deserved patience, kindness, and encouragement. Instead, she left asking why her coach was so mean to her.

One girl slapped my daughter on the behind 3 classes in a row, another student. Multiple students would cut in front of my daughter when lining up to do activities causing my daughter to miss out on turns. This was not corrected by any of the multiple instructors. Girls interrupt instructors and it takes up valuable class time. I am not satisfied. I notified them of my cancellation after class tonight and Linda told me I would not receive a refund for my December tuition. I would like the owner to make things right by refunding me and an apology would be kind. I feel my complaint was not taken seriously by Linda and I was offered no apology. As someone who took dance for 18 plus years I have never seen anything like this cartwheel class. Completely out of control, a complete disappointment and waste of money.

Parking is quite accessible, and the people excepting money for admission were very pleasant; seating was rather deplorable as we were forced to sit on hard planks of wood that you would expect from back in the 70's ; steel posts were right in front of several of us in the viewing gallery and the video screen for the scoring was absolutely unacceptable! The lights could've been dimmed so that the screen could have been seen from us in the seating area and there was only one loud speaker in the entire facility. The dancing routines could've been amplified in order to get the crowd going, but no, not at this place... just loud enough so that the young ladies could hear their routine while doing their floor exercise. I would encourage patrons of this facility to take advantage of the Wi-Fi because the building is made of metal and simply blocks out any way of getting any decent phone reception. I also appreciate that the radio they play here has family friendly music unlike some gyms I've visited. This area also connects to a jogging/ biking trail going to Oak Point/ Bob Woodruff. It's a great launching point for an active adventure!
