This is such a great gym. I brought my team here to do choreography with Chris. He's absolutely amazing. His choreography is creative with so much visual. He works well with different personality types, especially difficult coaches like myself. The gym itself has 3 full sized nationals mats. Two are spring and the other is flat. They have tramps, tumble tracks, viewing areas, etc. This is a great place to go for any cheer needs. They are priced reasonably if you are needing to out source choreography or music! read more

I came here for my daughter's birthday party. The price was right and the kids had a lot of fun. I think the kids who run the place on the weekends are good at what they do as well. One of the selling points for the birthday party is they teach the children a cheer and later the children perform the cheer for the parents at the party-finale (it sounds so dramatic calling it a finale, huh?). I was excited about this but after seeing it ... well I was underwhelmed. It was very short. I suppose that is due to the limited time they have to teach them so perhaps my expectations were a bit high. Also, beware the parties run back to back and right alongside of some 1-1 cheer instruction (the students and instructors stay out of the way of the party). While I was hanging out with the parents during the party, we were able to watch some of the gymnastics students in their 1-1 instruction - wow. The students there seem very talented and focused and they had many awards hanging on the ceiling as well. If my daughters want to get into cheer, I will look at this place very closely as they seem very good. The birthday party was a success too. read more

My daughter came home in tears today after her first experience with Express Cheer and her 7th grade squad. She was SO excited about her first day going to camp! They had gone up to learn some basic stunting skills in preparation for NCA camp that is coming up. After what I heard from the 3 other cheer girls, and one other mom, I was appalled! Mind you these are brand new "cheerleaders" coming in from their very first day EVER at 'rookie camp'...(2 hours prior). They have ZERO knowledge about stunts or stunting. Our girls cheer Coach thought it would be helpful to bring the girls into EC for some extra work/help/learn some basics. Instead my daughters group ended up getting a coach that clearly didn't give a @#*% and was rude to them, mean and not concerned about safety. The girls all quoted him as being "the sassy" one!?? Really??!?! My daughter fell from stunt she should have never been allowed to try right out of the gates. Go ahead a Google "liberty cheer stunt" and let that marinate your brain!!! No one was there to help spot her from falling backwards but the poor clueless girl who had never spotted before. My daughter fell flat on her back, knocked the wind out of her and smacked the back of her head because of a coach with an ego. She was told by her coach that "it's your fault for falling, now shake it off and get back up!"...and "fix it!". She was also told "that wasn't that bad of a fall...now come on get going...let's go!". I'm not saying she needed a hug and a band-aid, but seriously....just common freakin' courtesy! I know what I am talking about in regards to these high level-high pressure fast paced gyms. I am a veteran performance cheerleader of 5 years in both high school and college and I would have in no way compromised the safety of a brand new girls coming in to learn because of my attitude! I 100% understand this is a fast paced learning environment for more experienced cheer squads....did you hear me? EXPERIENCED (not a group who just came together literally hours prior to walking in the door. EC should have screened our group before allowing them to come in and try higher level stunts with zero spotting. And to let the parents know what to expect. My main concern is that when my daughter fell flat on her back and smacked her head that no one asked her if she was alright. Not one staff member reported it or filed an incident report and no one called me to inform me! I called THEM! Ultimately, I spoke with a "manager" about today's lack of safety incident and the nasty behavior of the male coach and her response was that it was option to allow my child to come to today's meet up. And she is right, but had I known my kid would be thrust into that kind of situation you bet your ass I wouldn't have! I wasn't aware of the dangerous stuff they were going to put my girls and the other new girls in. The "manager", per our conversation, said "safety was their #1 concern". So, if that is the case then why did my daughters group have a Coach that allowed the girls to do stunts without proper spotters period! It was later confirmed they were short a few people. She said the coach/student ration was pretty good...Ummm, I'm sorry 3 coaches is not enough to spot 2 groups cheer squads, who mind you are all stunting at the same time! Again, common sense! And safety before "ego"! What I'd like to see is the gym staff be reprimanded and the gym owners as well as the public be notified of the sloppiness that carried on today. That could have played out much worse! Thank God it didn't. When parents put their trust in the hands of "professionals gym coaches" they should do so feeling confident their kid isn't going to come home with a broken neck because of someone's poor judgement and ego! read more

My daughter was at Express for many years. We finally left last season (along with most of her team) and switched to another gym nearby. We were very happy for awhile but the last few years the gym has declined. Many of the coaches have left for different reasons and the current team coaches aren't that great. The owner Chris is great, but rarely there. There used to be a review that said the coaches let the team moms run everything. Unfortunately that is still true, there is a lot of favoritism in the gym. If you aren't a cheerlebrity parent and promoting the gym, they don't want to talk to you or your child. The cheerlebrity moms are loud & obnoxious, they let their other children run around the viewing area screaming & playing annoying games at full volume and ignore them while they sit around and gossip. I've even heard them swear & use bad language without regard to other children nearby. I've even seen one of the parents on our team blame one of our flyers for the team losing and making the girl cry. If your child isn't one of their favorites don't bother talking with the the coaches, they will just refer you to the team moms. Some of team moms are just as bad and the coaches don't care. My daughter has been screamed at for having an asthma attack. I've also seen an athlete yelled at because she struggled with tumbling after she was in a car accident the day before. They forced her to keep tumbling at the same practice and eventually gave her a mental block. Another poster left a review that because her daughter fell from a stunt that she felt was advanced for new cheerleaders. While I think that she was overreacting, a "lib" is not advanced, it's probably the most basic, it's easy to figure out which coaches she is refering too. And I'm not surprised at their lack of empathy from that particular coach or the coach that manages the gym. There are only a few coaches for all of the teams, so you can't avoid getting one of them as a coach. This why we finally chose to leave the gym. It's become such a negative, hostile environment. The coaches forget that all parents pay the same amount of money. It's unfortunate the direction the gym has taken. I think the owner needs to take some of the management duties back or away from the current director. If you want to get your child started in cheer or tumbling, save yourself the hassle and just go to CA. I was reluctant to take my daughter to a mega gym, but she is much happier now. I left two stars because my daughter did enjoy the gym when she started several years ago. read more

My daughter has been doing All Star competitive cheer at Express for three years now. We were hesitant to let her cheer on a competitive level after hearing stories about competitive cheer but she has had a very positive experience with Express. She has learned so much about the sport but also grown in responsibility and confidence. The staff is very positive and we really consider the gym her second home. I'm very thankful for the positive coaching she has received at Express. The owner is great and the coaches are very passionate. read more

I have been cheering with express for as long as I can remember, and I wouldn't trade it for anything! The lessons you learn and the family you create is irreplaceable. Love the gym, coaches, and other athletes! read more

Coach Brandon teaches the kinder and basic classes and mocks and teases the children who cry or are scared to try something new. I've never seen such a disgraceful act from someone who is supposed to be building a child's confidence ... Rather he takes joy from knocking them down in a bullying manner. Shame on you Brandon. (And I'm not the only one who has a problem with his lack of empathy for small children. Ask around). Sadly, when I approached the manager to complain about this behavior she chuckled when speaking with him. As if she had to make the appearance of me complaining but for him not to worry. I would never recommend a small child to start out here. read more

They are all about the money and not the kids... My daughter has been going to the Gym for 5 years, recently they let go several instructors that my daughter really enjoyed and was progressing well before they left. Over the last several months my Daughter seemed to be having trouble and last several classes left crying. On her last evaluation she went from having almost completed all skills and was on the edge of moving to the next class to Barely having the skills to be in the class. There was no reason given for the drastic change other than they changed the rating system. I have tried to contact Express and other than speaking to an office employee, I can only get an email response about the money and nothing about my Daughter or what the problem may have been. It truly makes me question my loyalty to this gym and what their core values truly are. read more
