Visited again October 30th..see receipt as always. Before leaving Chico I had to get their delicious ribs and suishi! I don't know how they prepare their baby back ribs but they are AMAZING! So tender and literally melt off the bone! OBSESSED! LOL I also got the red dragon roll ( asked for extra spicy) and the Sacramento roll . SO good! Most of this was to go as I always have my ice chest with me! It's classy...clean..and staff are very professional. Full bar and inside and outdoor seating. RAGAN AND Sjarif are the best ( A team!). Love love love this place! Great asset to downtown Chico!

I got the Shanghai Beef Noodles and they were very good. My family got sushi and it was lacking a lot of flavor. It was also pretty expensive for only 5 pieces of sushi. The service was fine, but the restaurant was very beautiful. I sat outside and I loved it.

Dined in at Rawbar's Lounge on a Friday for Happy Hour and did not have a wait. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere was lively. Waitstaff were very attentive and friendly! The HH "Eats" we chose were just OK though.

Came here for the first time and had a fantastic experience. I absolutely loved my rainbow roll, fried gyoza, salmon smash? roll, the Walu sashimi (omg that's delicious), the Maui something roll (wasn't to my taste) and my friend got a Grapes of Wrath drink and I got a Tradewind (?) drink- not pictured. The atmosphere here is so comfortable and nice, just be prepared for the prices to match all the 5 stars.

    Nice ambiance here!!!

I was new in town, I wanted something light now heavy. Came across Rawbar. When I entered, I was greeted by staff with friendly voice and asked I ordered to go. I sat down and waited until our order was ready. I looked over the restaurant, it had great colors, ambience, and friendly staff!! I would definitely like to return and dine in!!! Our food was delicious but I would suggest if you order the Agedashi Tofu to eat it there. By the time we ate it the coating was gooey.

We always sit at the bar.

This was an easy 5 star. Great downtown location in The Hotel Diamond. Outside seating, inside tables and bar seating. We sat at the bar. That allows us to chat with the sushi master and get a little 411. They have many long time employees, which is evident but the attention to customers service and high quality of food. The menu is huge, with a variety of choices. Their bowls looked to be very popular. Oh and let me not forget the specialty drinks. Excellent experience all the way around.

My friend and I went here during their POSTED happy hour and upon entering, the guy at the door was frazzled, confused and appeared to be highly incompetent. He couldn't figure out why we were there, where to seat us and how many people there were (even though TWO of us were standing in the entryway). I asked if I could use the outside entrance to the patio because I had a small dog and wanted to sit outside. He seemed even more confused by the question so I simply turned around and made my way to the outdoor patio being that he couldn't articulate an answer to the question. Once my friend and I got to the patio, he took FOREVER to come out with menus and when he finally did, I had already found a table and sat down. He was insistent that I sit at another table which I refused to do (it was hot and I wanted a table near the misters to stay cool). Again, he was befuddled and became irritated insisting that I move but I was absolutely stern in the fact that I was NOT moving tables because I wanted to be near the misters! He grunted and finally put down the menus on the table we were sitting at. When he came back a few minutes later we asked where the happy hour menu was since it was missing. He said, "Happy hour is over, it ended 2 minutes ago" we replied, "No, it says 3-5 on your Yelp page and it's currently 4:02" he was once again insistent that it was only from 2-4 so we showed him the info on the Yelp page and also informed him that he took FOREVER (from the point of us walking in) to get us menus as well as take our order so although it was 4:02 we'd like him to honor HH. Nope. He gave us some pathetic excuse about having to switch prices as well as some other BS about what time it was. THANKS BUT WE KNOW THE TIME. I decided to go in to speak to a manager and the manager took forever to come out then once he did he was immediately rude and although I made several attempts to explain he kept cutting me off and wouldn't let me finish what I was saying. He had a MASSIVE ATTITUDE. His tone, his demeanor, and his attitude were the POLAR OPPOSITE of customer service. I finally had to cut him off while he was speaking because he was going on about something that he THOUGHT I was going to request and he couldn't have been more incorrect. He kept repeating himself although I kept saying, "That's not what I'm asking you about". UGHHHH!!! Seriously the RUDEST clown ever. I FINALLY was able to show him the HH hours on the Yelp page and told him they need to update it if it's incorrect and his response was, "We didn't write that". Oh really?? Then why does it say WRITTEN BY THE OWNER?? The day manager needs to be FIRED. He is impatient, RUDE and has NO IDEA WTF customer service looks like. The CORRECT way to handle it would have been, "I'm so sorry we haven't updated the HH hours, I'll look into that so there's no confusion in the future. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. I won't be able to honor the HH because we've changed the HH time frame but can I get you a tea or soda?" I've been in customer service for 15 years and the way this was handled was SO wrong. This guy is literally driving customers away with his unprofessional and extreme rudeness. He literally needs to be FIRED. If you plan of dining here for their HH make sure it's between 2-4, now you know. And BTW, their HH times SUCK. Most people are at work until 5. This place gets ZERO stars simply from the most recent experience I had with the brainless waiter and the d!ck head day manager. *The "owners" response is a clear indication of the level of Raw Bar's lack of professionalism. Comedy. Customer service much? Yeah, didn't think so. I will make sure to tell anybody and everybody I know that a clueless moron runs the show at Raw Bar so they can avoid the same potentially terrible experience I had. There are other places to go for sushi. GO ELSEWHERE, you'll be glad you did. Stay away from this place. They should change their name from Raw Bar to RUDE Bar.

I can no longer justify the high price point for a dining experience that has not once met it. Let's start with the good: the fried rice cakes are incredible. The ambience feels really nice and upscale. There are some delicious food items here. The service is friendly. Last night was my final straw though. The service was incredibly slow. We ordered a couple appetizers and a couple rolls. The appetizers were on the slower side, but within reason. But then we were there for over an hour (like actually timed, not me being hyperbolic), and we still hadn't gotten our rolls. Now full disclosure, my mom does have a shrimp and crab sensitivity. However, she made it clear to the server that this is not a contact allergy. She specified: She can handle things being fried in the same oil. A simple wipe down of the food prep service suffices. She has to actually ingest the food for it to affect her. Well. It had been over an hour, and they had not even started on her rolls. When I asked someone (who I think may have been the manager?) to check on them, she let us know that they were starting right then and that with an allergy they have to clean off an entire station in order to serve, and so on. Uhm. How does that justify the fact that they clearly didn't even start cleaning a station at all for over an hour after we had ordered?? Do they expect us to wait till all other customers have left?? An allergy doesn't mean we should be completely de-prioritized. I know that she wasn't intending to make excuses and was intending to explain, but an explanation at that point is completely inadequate. To try to explain to someone with an allergy that service is going to be slower because they have to clean off an entire station... Do they think we've never been to restaurants before?? We know how it works and there's just no justification for that. The rolls were also terrible. We substitute tempura asparagus for my mom due to her not being able to eat shrimp. In our experience, this is quite standard with sushi restaurants. They served it with steamed and it was terrible. The rolls were also very thick cut, falling apart, and- I kid you not - not even cut all the way through. We got chu toro, one of our favorite items--they didn't trim the sinewy parts off. I had to send back a drink because it felt like I was drinking perfume. They took these items off thankfully but overall, we still spent over $100 and didn't even get sushi. Ugh. So frustrating and I just can't imagine myself giving them another try.

The sauce for the Japanese Tacos has become so spicy hot we've had to have them hold it - something's changed there. The gyoza (2 orders for one person and one order for the second person were all served on the same plate, forgivable but they were bland and the sauces were spilled when the waitress set them down. The Sushi sampler contained "room temp", not cold raw fish and was literally flavorless AND the rice tasted old and chalky. I tried the spicy tuna roll the month before and I could not eat it.
