If you don't mind the dismissive attitudes and lack of ANY customer service the product is pricey, but good. Trying to make up my mind if i can deal with the fact i NEVER feel welcomed or appreciated. Might switch completely and go to Liza's on State Street. Hate rewarding them with my patronage. One of my favorite juice bars in town! It is very fast paced, I am always in and out in a few minutes. Strongly recommend their Açaí Bowls. I would prefer raw than any other juice bar in the capital district. If I could I would give them 10 stars. Food is fresh, they prepare and prep everything in front of you. I'm giving three stars for food quality and innovation in the area. Service and operations are HORRIBLE. No one wants to wait almost 40 minutes for a smoothie bowl. Tad on the expensive side...you will paying $8 for a bowl. This is mentioned from a previous reviewer from Apil and this still has not been addressed. I almost waited 20 minutes for a smoothie. Both times, there were two workers. One making the product and the second at register and working the product when not taking customers. They are not staffed properly. The two workers were also getting confused with the orders since it was getting busy. In any restaurant business if your service sucks, it won't matter how good your food is, news will travel fast. More and more, people are seeking healthy alternatives and the market is hot now. If you can get your act together, I think this is great idea! read more

I LOVE RAW! I tried Raw after walking by the shop one night after dinner and it did not disappoint! I was in Schenectady for work Monday-Thursday and ate it Tuesday-Thursday for lunch. I'm just mad I didn't have it Monday too! The bowls are amazing and really big for the price! I wish I had Raw back home!! This place is great! I called in my order everyday after reading about some of the wait times and I'm glad I did. It was anywhere from 15-30 minutes, but it is worth the wait. Some of the other reviews mentioned the service was lacking, but each day I was greeted with a smile. read more

I have recently moved upstate and I was looking for somewhere that has good açai bowls. The price wasn't too bad . It's just different from long island. On long island they made açaí bowls with açaí purée layered bananas, strawberries, blueberries, honey and a little bit of shredded coconut. I'm hooked. Just a short 10 minute walk from my dorm hall (Union College), Raw provides an excellent array of fresh pressed juices, smoothies, and acai bowls. The mocha joe is a personal fave, but the traditional acai bowl is great too. I don't think a single option on the menu will let you down, especially with so many additive options. I would frequent Raw on a weekly basis for an açaí bowl and a juice, the bowl was delicious every time. The customer service was poor. There's one really nice girl who always greets the customers and answers questions, however there's another girl who makes you feel stupid anytime you have to ask a question. I was thinking maybe she's just not a morning person, then an officer walked in behind me and she pepped up fast and was providing outstanding customer service. Unfortunately I can't say anything positive about Raw because they refused to serve me. I have a peanut allergy which I made them aware of since they have a huge sign saying let them know and they will accommodate, but they just told me they wouldn't serve me. We were driving into town to visit family and wanted to stop to get a healthy smoothie for our 2-yr old son. We were able to grab parking on State St. and walk the short distance to Raw on Jay St. There were 2 couples waiting for their orders when we walked in and the two women working were working on their orders. It was at least 5 minutes before they even acknowledged that we were there, which in the meantime, another 2 separate women, plus another 2 friends were waiting behind us to order as well. Once we finally ordered, my fiancé brought our son outside as it was getting even more crowded and the place is tight. The third wave of people was also stuck waiting without being acknowledged (I consider us the second wave for this review). We finally received our smoothies (PB&J and Purple Haze) after roughly 25 minutes! Yes, it is made to order. Yes, it is fresh. But if you know that you are busy on Saturday's, you should definitely prep a little better. Their menu is limited so it shouldn't be hard to have some things you know sell, pre-made at least partly (i.e. with the acai bowls). The 2 smoothies (16oz) was $13.25. My fiancé and son enjoyed them (thankfully) but the customer service was terrible. I would rate the customer service a 1 and the quality a 4...being nice I'll round up to an overall rating of a 3. They also have organic snacks for purchase and some grab-and-go items. Cool premise but the execution needs to be better...maybe hire someone to take orders/greet/clean the blenders when it's quiet versus two people trying to do everything when the line is to the door. read more

Super average at best. The bowl was not exciting and had really generic and plain granola. I paid $1 extra for blackberries and they put three on. I'm fairly certain $1 should get me more than three berries. It's hard to get to with no parking and was definitely not worth the price tag. read more

Im really disappointed with the service I received today at Raw. I've been excited to try Raw for a long time now and finally had a day off to travel to downtown to try it out. The shop was very busy which was very exciting to see! As first timers we made sure to look at the menu and know what we wanted with our wallets out to move out of the way quickly. The woman at the register was rude and curt and not flustered. Not smiling is one thing but making the customer feel as though they're ruining your day by coming in to enjoy a product is not a feeling I want to experience ever again. I spent $18 on food and a drink for myself everything tasted awesome but I won't be back after that service. My sister tried to make light of the stressful situation by asking if it was always busy on Saturdays to which the woman scoffed and said "ya" making it more awkward. I work for a small business and know how hard it can be during extremely busy times, but it doesn't ever hurt to be nice. read more

Amazing Juice Bar. Everything is made to order. All the produce is very fresh. I love getting a daily juice for lunch. I've also tried most of the smoothies and the Jimmy's Acai Bowl. I love the juices because I get all my veggies in one drink and it keeps me full until dinner. I love the Beet it especially. I've never tried the food in the cooler but I assume it is just as good as everything else. They also carry packaged food that is organic and healthy as well. Everything about Raw is wonderful, the owner is a sweetheart. This is such a convenient location as well. Just a head's up-- it's on the part of Jay street closer to State.
