I called Mitchell and Patrick at Pool Side Leak Detection. They came out within a week with a big trailer full of equipment to see what was going on with my pool. I hung out with the crew as they went from jet to jet, drain to drain, and carefully and diligently checked out every pipe, and every light to get to the bottom of the problem. I was super impressed when they brought out an underwater microphone to listen for drips. As they worked, they explained good pool practices, maintenance tips, they told me what they were doing, their line of reasoning for what they're doing. They answered all my crazy pool questions with a smile. I really appreciated the tutorials and info on the pool. In all, they had to break out the scuba equipment to find the leak- it was in the underwater light! They got in there with some 'bubblegum' and fixed it right up so it's watertight. It was a great value to have them out and saved me lots of money with otherwise having to search for the leak, which I'd have never found. They were upfront about expectations, pricing, and how they work. I am new to pools, so I really appreciated the crash course in pool mechanics and maintenance. i don't know that I have ever written a negative review before, but this situation requires it…read more Over the past 30 years I've had several pool service companies. This one is, without any doubt, the WORST I've ever had. They started off great and got my pool back to blue after the last company let it just turn green. After a few weeks, however, they quit caring and my pool has been green for weeks (maybe even a couple of months). When I inquired about it, they claimed it was because of all of the plants around the pool. My backyard is landscaped but there's nothing about it that would cause it to turn green. It turned green, in my opinion, because they didn't want to spend the money necessary to keep it blue. Ultimately, I had to fire them because their pool tech started yelling at my housekeeper and got extremely aggressive. He even made veiled threats to me. I will get the money they required that I pay them in advance even if I have to sue them. My advice: DO NOT LET THEM ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR POOL. If I could give less than 1 star, I would give them a negative 5 star rating.

Jack and his team have no interest in maintaining pool chemistry or properly cleaning the pool…read more They don't rinse out the skimmer baskets or seat them properly in the well. They don't test the pool chemistry. I had zero free chlorine just 2 days after service. The pH was way too high as well as the CYA. The pool was very cloudy one time and they did nothing about it when they came out. I had to call them back to fix their sub-par work. When I confronted them about the dirty skimmer baskets, Jack denied responsibility rather than man up and fix it. I'm going to find a real professional to maintain my pool instead of Jack and his 10-year-old employee. The pictures are AFTER they "cleaned" the pool!
