We took a quick weekend trip to San Francisco. the flight went to Oakland and SF was a quick 20 minute uber ride. This flight was actually more cost effective than first class on a highly rated airline. Love that! Plenty of leg room on the flight. Just an FYI the seats afe in a 2/1 configuration and are a bit smaller than standard 1st class on a commercial airline but not dealing with long security lines and crowded lounges was definitely worth it! The App is very smooth for booking just like other airlines with the exception that you can't go back a step when booking. If you want to change something you have to start all over. The staff was very nice upon arrival we dropped our bags and showed our IDs and sat on the lounge with drinks while we waited. Both the indoor and outdoor lounges are very comfy with plenty of seating!(couches cubby chairs high tables etc. ) Be sure to arrive no less than 20-30 minutes before your flight departure.

The airport serves SE, United, and Alaska. The airport will feature food stands that are local to California plus various of stores. The airport is actually replacing the current terminal soon, and the new facility will move baggage claim indoors. Andddd...OLD SCHOOL is definitely the description for the current facility. It's dated and looks every bit of its age. Nothing about it feels modern or luxurious, but everything functions and I'll take efficient over pretty when I'm trying to catch a flight. Food is where BUR could definitely do better. There are some restaurants and grab and go options in both terminals, but compared with larger airports the selection is pretty limited, especially depending on which terminal you're flying from. But honestly, I understand why people love this airport. It's compact, low stress, and you're not spending 30 minutes just trying to figure out how to get from security to your gate. Dated? Absolutely. Limited food? Yep. But the sheer convenience of BUR makes up for A LOT.

The Drivers DO NOT "happily drive their intrusive monsters into narrow residential streets". First, zoning laws prohibit vehicles over a certain weight limit. Finally the buses used by Transit system for the use of the Hollywood Bowl shuttle are buses having proven themselves faithful transporters of this City's commutors for many years with little complaints. As for the Management, this Transportation Company was one of the very first privately held transportation companies of its kind in this State to begin implementing Bio Diesel use in its vehicles. Staff cars are Hybrid or all electric cars. Its so easy to criticize when you don't know what you are taking about. I am no longer working for this fine organization but I am proud to ride these Buses when my wife and I patronize the Hollywood Bowl and I can confidently ride with confidence that these drivers are some of the most professional and I might add some of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing or working with.
